And it makes me like the 16 Personality Test more if it's based on the Big 5. I actually liked the 16 Personality test because without it, I don't know if I'd ever have gotten into Meyers and Briggs, and I actually thought it was more healthy for people to just take the 16 personalities test and then just get a bunch of ideas of different types of people to be more understanding and get an ideas of things that we could use help with, if we want to. Everything is a free will choice. Life is hard. It's scary. It's full of suffering. And that's why, even though we may fall a lot, and I have fallen a lot, we can still strive, and help each other strive to do good, and the ideas from this Big 5 sounds useful in that department....need to process it more since I'm just writing my immediate thoughts to you. Watching your ESTP and ISTP Relationship video Similarities and Difference video was an excellent video to cut through nonsense in how I've heard Meyers and Briggs be utilized over the years, and it's a reason why the SP Spazz's channel was so helpful in helping me with be less skeptical of Meyers and Briggs because he showed long form authentic interviews with people that cut through a lot of nonsense. And I think a big issue is that it's because people aren't using actual Meyers and Briggs since there isn't a better type or anything if people read the official site. It even says that we change function order based on circumstance. I would highly recommend everyone even if you're not an ESTP or ISTP to check out Kate's ESTP and ISTP Relationship video. It's an authentic video of real people. I know on your type site, you have ESTPs as alpha, and I would disagree with that description for people I've seen since I'd say any type can be alpha, but you, Kate, are the one of the most alpha people I've seen in type. I heard in previous videos how you've experienced rougher stuff, but you don't show it. You are a light in this world. You're strong. You're kind. You're beautiful. You're smart. You're alpha. And other examples of alpha, Dear Kristin is living in Australia which sounds terrible. Did you see the thumbnail in her recent one year anniversary video? Look at that light in her eyes. She's alpha. And thank you for using that alpha description by the way. I think alpha is a strong, inspiring beacon of light with virtue. In my opinion, Jesus is the top model for alpha male and then a far distance second is Mother Mary as a model for being alpha, and then St. Joseph, and other saints. Most aren't that, yet, so we can use people like you to help us. Okay. I gotta go! Take care, Kate.
haha well, thank you! I think it depends on your definition but you've explained it here. The type names I came up with were a little tongue in cheek to make it fun. However, my use of the word was intended more as someone who has a commanding presence- which Se hero absolutely does. ESTPs tend to have a dominant presence as well that can be felt. I created that list when I still thought I was an ENTP so I wasn't calling myself an "alpha" but I appreciate you thinking of me so highly :)
@@TypeMatch You're great. That's why I wanted to read through your descriptions to get your perceptions of the types. I don't remember what I write (bits of stuff sometimes), but I remember referring to you as alpha and I meant it. Also, part of being alpha is being humble, so it never crossed my mind that you were thinking that when you wrote your analysis. Now I'm going to re-read the ENTP description though. Also, after listening to your excellent interview with Frank James, I wanted to know if he was an INFJ, Frank James did a 31 minute episode on his podcast called "Identity and Illusion" from 2018, and that's currently my go to example for why he's an INFJ or just showing off Ni in an INFJ. He's got that whole thing where he goes on and on and on (heh) fleshing out his Ni idea where we're all taking off our shoes smacking them against our heads waiting for him to get on with it already hoping this thing, frankly, better pay off, FRANK, and then he finishes his Ni stream where he comes to his conclusion, and it's worth all the weird looks we get from all the dirt shoe marks on our faces. If you're ever interested, and it's probably not something you'd typically be interested in, being an alpha and all, there's a INTJ channel called the Fourth Age which the INTJ, RJ, guy down his whole Ni Te argument about virtue in comics referencing Aristotle, and same deal with Frank James where it's like "this better pay off, R.J". He's also illustrative of what you referred to in a previous video about inferior function being a superpower (his being Se), and I wrote to you about it previously but then deleted it because I wrote about disagreeing with him, and I felt bad because I didn't want to throw him under the bus because he's making a comic company creating virtuous stories for people. If you ever watched the MBTI NT support videos before they removed them, RJ is reminiscent of the INTJ on that channel describing his dream and the ENTP guy said Meyers and Briggs helped him understand his INTJ friend because his INTJ friend's description of his Ni vision was so out there for him. Anyways, your Frank James interview was superb. You are the reason why I'm checking out Frank James old content. I think It's Just Kevin is the cream of the crop if people want to learn about type through skits and then Dear Kristin's skits are king for just overall hilarious social perception observations, but Frank James is doing great work, and his non Meyers and Briggs content has been great so far. He's similar to how I was with the ENTP ZombieRuinEverything where I read and watched everything because he's a really smart, interesting guy (He did non Meyers and Briggs videos). Frank James did a great 39 minute episode of his podcast called Spiritual No Man's Land which goes into where he's coming from a foundation stand point if you're interested. Also, a combination of hearing ESFP Dear Kristin and INFJ Frank James humor is why I think you were right in typing Seinfeld as an INTJ. I think you were doing some kind of running gag joke haha with that but I appreciated the motivation to think about it. Also, after hearing you say in sync in one of your videos, I was trying to come up with something funny for you guys and thought of an old Nsync song "Makes Me Ill" when writing a joke and downloaded Nsync albums that night, and let me tell you, saying bye bye bye to those memories because they do NOT hold up. Except that "Makes Me Ill" song and I think the song "Celebrity"...maybe.....also, I listened to an old Frank James video today where he referenced the Goofy movie which I thought had a cool song and I looked it up, and, man...my taste was horrible, Kate. Thank you so much for your videos because it's been really fun having something to keep up with! I meant what I said and mean it now when I think of you as alpha, and actually started listing the people I think are alpha to show you that I meant it but probably talked your ear off enough. You're a STAND OUT person, Kate. Stand out is the name of the song from the Goofy movie Frank James referenced that didn't hold up...Take care, Kate! Gonna check out that ENTP description. haha
