    I had a customer in store this weekend who has a streaming setup and was asking for a way to see what his assistant sees on her PC when on set. I wish they would put stuff like this in store.

    Great take on this. The monitor is so small, you aren't going to be using it across the room. You would likely be using your device with it in your hands, so what is being cordless really buying you. It is tech for the sake "because you can" which wouldn't matter but for the large price hike.
    I do appreciate the content, because it further elevates the non-wireless portable monitor solutions you have covered. I have been doing a lot more work between spreadsheets and my laptop's 13" monitor makes it very difficult. The extra canvas of a second portable display on the go would be very helpful.

      Definitely agree, it's about as bad as a faulty cable, but way more expensive.

      I can't blame the brands like UP and Nex. They keep hearing from numbskulls "it shuld of ben wireluss!" but this is the reality of what wireless video looks like. Techies have VERY little practical experience for how any of this stuff works.

    • @sucafrutpi
      @sucafrutpi 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SomeGadgetGuy Yes and the sad part is that you know as well as anyone that after they put all the development into designing and manufacturing this, the techies that demanded it won't buy it. They will armchair about how it costs too much, isn't the right size, doesn't work from 30 meters away....blah blah blah.
      Keep up the good fight 👍

    Now that's what you call cutting the cord, I mean cable. Nice.

    I got this monitor for only $265 with the back-to-school deal and an extra 5% off! I can't wait to try it out. I want a second monitor, but because my desk is small and my main monitor takes up most of the space, I planned to get a smaller one. This size is perfect. Plus, this monitor comes with touch and wireless functions. So if I'm tired and don't want to sit in front of my PC, I can switch to wireless mode, lay in bed (ofc its in the same room as my desk), and use it like a tablet for streaming and gaming.

      Is it good and functional cause I’m thinking of getting it, I did I get a uperfect monitor before but works on and off. And when you bought it off their website did you have any troubles or such. Thanks if you reply.

    • @anht.720

      Hi, unfortunately, I haven't received my monitor yet, so I can't tell you if it works well or not. I live in Austria, and their website stated that stock from China will take 10 - 25 days. I guess they didnt had the product in the european local warehouse. You might have better luck if you live in the US and they have the product in your local warehouse, which would take around 3-7 days.
      When purchasing from their website, I had a small issue with card payment. They didn't accept my card, but it wasn't a big deal since I was able to pay with PayPal instead.
      A little tip on how to get the 5% discount: sign up on their website and add the monitor to your cart. After a day, I received an email from uperfect saying I had left something in my cart, and they gave me an extra 5% off. And with the code SCHOOL100 you get additional -100$ off.
      Please note that uperfect has multiple websites depending on the country. I purchased from the official website, which is www.uperfectmonitor.com/, and not from my local website, for example, www.uperfectmonitor.de/

    I'd really love a wireless display so I can use it as sort of a tablet mirroring my phone. It's kinda annoying having to sync stuffs between my phone & tablet. Samsung has a solution but I don't like having to confine my choice of gadgets to a single brand

    Maybe this would be a great item for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay-operated DIY car head unit, but that's all I can think of. Personally, I'll stay with the UDock X Pro 15.6". That still remains the only lapdock in existence with a detachable screen.

    Yeah, this is the future. Imagine, if you will, millimeter transmitters in each room that are all connected via Wi-Fi. You could have them running the same PC or multiples.

  • @OledBurnInKing
    @OledBurnInKing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I hope that uperfect makes a portable 4k mini led display with 1,000 nits. My sony xperia 1 iv android phone already has burn in issues from it's oled display. I already have burn in issues with any device that I use with an oled display so that's why I prefer to use a mini led display preferably 4k. The oled displays that I already have gotten burn in turn yellowish and the display brightness has gotten dimmer over time even though I have the brightness maxed out and no longer as bright compared to the first time I used the devices with an oled display. The way I use the displays, I already know that they are going to get burn in especially when using oled. I actually like using wires because they just work, reliable, universal, don't need batteries to work properly and superior quality compared to going wireless like bluetooth that needs batteries that need to be replaced when the battery degrades. I have bluetooth earbuds and headphones because the batteries have already degraded and don't hold a charge and my laptops that rely batteries that have degraded and only work when being plugged into an outlet otherwise the laptop automatically shuts off when the laptop is being unplugged and relys on batteries that no longer work anymore. The average consumer have been manipulated by the marketing and deceived by the manufacturers and corporations that wireless is the future when in reality the expansion of planned obsolescence is the future now more than it has ever been. Planned obsolescence became a major thing in the modern era due to lack of ownership and the majority of consumer products and services moving to subscription services that have turned into ala carte instead of food but with subscription services.

    The dream of a fully wireless future is more limiting than liberating and it's frustrating we just assume everyone 'wont' we have trained ourselves to be the most 'fricitionless' in our personal lives to our own detriment. Broadcasting at mmWave to get the kind of fidelity we have with a simple USB cable is so wasteful from a computer and energy use perspective. Not to just rag on this idea, it's super cool. But I'm more inclined to ask why. Your phone replacing a laptop and tablet is not a 'why' question. That use case makes so much sense. mmWave gives fidelity but loses penetration capabilities

    Thought it was cool until seeing the transmitter. That transmitter kills its wireless portability - sure you could connect it to a laptop via a cable in a coffee shop or hotel room, but why pay the premium vs even a non-wireless uPerfect portable monitor?

    How cant i have a monitor that portable with touch screen, 4k resolution, mini led, 360hz, 100%srgb, can folded in half, wireless, compatible with my $120 cheap phone and price cheap? Then proceed to agree with whatever apple make for $3000+ 😂 😂. But in all seriousness, i'm glad that even in niche portable monitor segment, manufacturer still can further improve their product and they aren't shy to try new method to achieve it
