You are right, although the technology is great this device would only work if you game console / streaming console or PC are basically in the same room as your tv otherwise how would you be able to control your xbox/PC from a different room or floor. It would also be useful to try and have the tv in a different room or different floor in the house and see how reliable it is, but again you will need some something to transmit your controller signal at the same time. There are other devices that can also transmit USB signal so those could be useful for PCs if the wifi connection is reliable over some kind of distance.

I've been using wireless HDMI for over 5 years now. The one I had even had a built in IR repeater and USB port for controlling a PC As for multiple devices, That's where an External HDMI Switch come in handy. Some even have a HDMI Port on the front.
Looks like for every system (PS, DVD, etc.) one need a receiver and transmitter and with each, an HDMI port available in the TV. Now goes the question: Is the signal the same? If it is, then only one receiver on the TV and the rest of the devices with their respective transmitters. If not, please test this: On one TV port an HDMI switcher full of receivers. That HAS to work.
I was thinking about getting a new HDMI cord. In fact I just ordered one randomly enough I TH-cam wireless HDMI and this video popped up and I happen to have an Xbox as well😂
Just for the sake of precision, your HDMI ports on your TV are not outputs, they’re inputs. If you happen to have output (especially on AV receiver), don’t plug that receiver dongle in it, it won’t give the expected results…
That's what I'm afraid too... Wireless stuff always has worse delay/latency, ALWAYS. I watched the video again in 0.5x speed, and it is clear that there is huge delay between he pressing something on the controller and the player character actually move on screen. Since I don't play that game, I don't know if that is how the game works... Or the wireless HDMI has that much of a delay (which is almost unusable for fast paced game like helldivers or COD or alike).
If they make one with a small USB-C transmitter, I'll buy one. That would be _so good_ for DS/3DS/Wii U emulation. You could use an Android handheld or a Steam Deck as the bottom screen and your TV as the top screen.
Most gamers enjoy a multi screen set up and not all USB's on all TVs charge HDMI devices. I learnt that with the Google Chrome issues I had a few years ago.
Wireless HDMI HAS been here.... I've been deploying solutions like this for a number of reasons for ages. IOGear makes a number of excellent wireless HDMI products that I've been using since 2015. With that said wired will always be superior and you'll never convince me otherwise. This will work but it wouldn't really push the limits of my NZ7.
Agreed. I've tested several in the past but had crappy results. I'm not trying to convince you otherwise. Cables are $5-$20...this is 5x that. Eventually prices will come down though and then it could have more of an impact.
I'd rather have the wire than deal with the latency over wireless. Latency is fine when it comes to internet, but even that is practically non existent compared to latency from bluetooth and other wireless devices. I like to hit play and have it start playing instantly on the other end. If I'm playing music I don't want to wait even a second for the music to kick in after I've hit play. And this has to do video and audio, so the latency will be worse.
It's here? It's been here for almost a decade. Hell, I still have my $30 one from 2017. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't plug-and-play and obviously not super reliable (it was incredibly cheap), but still. It's been a thing for a while.
The range for bluetooth is around 33 feet, and the range for wifi is about 150 feet. This is less through walls and floors, maybe one third. Assume the range is only within the confines of a single room.
too bad you couldn't use multiple transmitters with one receiver and use a remote to switch between them. If you have 3 or 4 HDMI devices, you would need to buy a set for each, and I doubt they would all fit due to the size. And where would you find 3 or 4 usb ports for each receiver? It's a good start, but it needs these features to be the best.
If people using a fire tv stick to watch tv I could see where these could be an issue because you would be fighting for the usb port on the tv. Also if you had multiple hdmi devices hooked to one tv you would need a usb splitter in order to power up multiple of these. If they could come up with a way where these wireless HDMI transmitters could be powered directly by the HDMI ports making them truly wireless I would be more apt to buy them
This is all fun and dandy, but what about the latency? I don't believe it can be instant, there should be some latency, the only question is - how much?
Curious if you have more than one of these connected at home, same display or separate displays within the transmitting and receiving range if there’s going to be any signal distortion or connection issues…
I don't see it being an advantage. Yeah you can leave the wireless one in the tv and change out the other end to any system or device, but you can do the same with a wired one with less latency and no USB. I DO hate wires, but untile latency is PROVEN to be a non-factor (especially with 4K and up) I'll have to stick with wires
You are only looking at the SMALL picture. For people who have lets say a projector on the ceiling from a computer in the other room, it's insanely good.
Still limited to the tv requirements like if you have 2 HDMI ports you can only use 2 HDMI wireless receiver but i love that idea to be completely wireless depending on how much it cost
The main reason why I would want something like this is to make 3DS and Wii U emulation on a steam deck a better experience since you can split the top screen and bottom screen on those emulators and having to use a wire to display to keep that working is kind of irritating
🤔 For a game console I can see this being overkill since consoles I have are stored right at the tv. But I have a gaming laptop that I have to use a 25ft hdmi cable if I want to cast to my tv. I've used the windows "cast" and samsung's "east connection" programs, but there is too much delay in the games. I am curious if this will work without noticeable delay. 😎
Only catch is transferring the transmission device to other devices is a big no for me as it not convenient enough unless you have a wireless remote control to switch between devices on the fly without having to remove it this would be more ideal reducing the risk of breaking the hdmi port and usb c port. That my honest opinion
why are we still using hdmi cables because its hell of alot cheaper than using wireless hdmi which is priced at abit over 100 american dollars.good vid m8t i would wait till it comes down in price.
I have a crazy question about this. I just recently finished building my first ever custom liquid cooling loop desktop computer. That will make three computers that I have all for myself I live alone) currently I can’t buy a new monitor I don’t have the money for it but my old monitor, which is really old dating back to Probably around 1997 is still working fine for my needs, but is only either a DVI or VGA connection on it. I am using it with a VGA to HDMI adapter on the cable to string across to the new desktop. Can this gadget be jury rigged in such a way that I won’t have to use a cable with the adapter to go to my new computer?
I have two questions. I do presentations using my laptop to a digital projector. Sometimes a projector is 100 ft away. Do you know what the distance the signal will be sent from transmitter to receiver? Finally, with this device work on say a DirecTV box where we normally have to use HDMI to our TV? Thanks
If there is no obstruction in the environment, the device claims that the transmission distance can reach 98 feet, but I still recommend that you use the equipment in his store with longer distances, which generally can get a more stable experience.
This is a great new gadget, but the 100mSec latency will be noticeable in FPS titles. The fact that there was no screen tear or hiccups in your demo is promising tho. I have to wonder if a WiFi 6E version (if there is such a device) plugged into a HDMI 2.1 capable console and 4K/120Hz gaming monitor would have less latency...
If you don't understand why we still use cables then you just don't understand physics enough. Wires keep information well encapsulated an insulated from interference and eavesdropping. If you want to see what I mean... plug up 3 or 4 of these devices in the same house along with Wifi, 4 or 5 bluetooth devices and 3 to 4 nearby wifi networks in range. Air is just like a wire and it has "bandwidth limits" based on the technology being used. And just like 500 people in a room on loud speakers... You will find out pretty fast why "wires" are still necessary.
Does it work with a splitter? As in when I run a quiz, I have a TV right next to me and a TV the other side of the room. I can use a cable for the close one but was thinking if I could split the HDMI, it would work
Will you please tell me, Can I use this device to stream video via capture card to streaming software like OBS. So that it can be easily access and transmit video to social media platform like TH-cam and Facebook. Further how is the life span of the product. Because it seems to be cheaper in rate compared to professional tx and rxes like Hollyland Accesoon product. Thanks in advance.
RGBlink 4K Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver Kit,Plug and Play,Wireless HDMI Extender One Transmitter and Two Receivers is available in Amazon now
Interesting, but it will cost about 120 dollars for each HDMI cable I would be replacing with this gadget, unless I unplug the receiver and transmitter each time I want to use a different device, which makes no sense. Also, there's the possible lag as has been reported here, so that's ok I will stay with my HDMI cables.
Brilliant!!! So you get rid of one cable and replace it with 2 - the extender to the usb cables. That's what I call real genius. Yet again, another product that solves a problem nobody has ever had. 🤣🤣
What USB cable? It should be powered by the HDMI port. Having USB cables attached to it and plugged in elsewhere would kind of negate the "wireless" aspect.
Nowadays computer display manufactures should already have this built in, and should use the Bluetooth connectivity, I work from home and I use 3 monitors, so this will not work for me. Good vid though.
can this be used on a HDMI splitter? I have cameras ran and would like to view them in the 3 rooms in in the most. Could i plug the transmitter to the splitter and the receiver to the monitor in the 3rd room and it work? (I cant neatly run the 3 HDMI cable neatly to the 3rd room)

Will Roku use this at some point? This is cool 🙂
how is the performance with multiple of these.. and if you got multiple you need a usb hub on your tv on top so yeah idk for now
Unless I missed it, this is only 1080 @60htz max, FYI
I have a crazy question about this. I just recently finished building my first ever custom liquid cooling loop desktop computer. That will make three computers that I have all for myself I live alone) currently I can’t buy a new monitor I don’t have the money for it but my old monitor, which is really old dating back to Probably around 1997 is still working fine for my needs, but is only either a DVI or VGA connection on it. I am using it with a VGA to HDMI adapter on the cable to string across to the new desktop. Can this gadget be jury rigged in such a way that I won’t have to use a cable with the adapter to go to my new computer?
In theory yeah I think so
I have two questions.
Only problem most some monitors don't have usb or C charging ports so what do you do if you only have hdmi and power cable ??
grab a usb power charger
RGBlink Ask Nano wireless HDMI transimtter and Receiver is cool and affordable price $101.9 , available in AMZN
There are literally more wires then before.
Does it work with a splitter? As in when I run a quiz, I have a TV right next to me and a TV the other side of the room. I can use a cable for the close one but was thinking if I could split the HDMI, it would work
Do you have a solution for connecting multiple devices
Nice, but at a £129 for the kit in the UK I think I will stick to my trusty cable!
Thank you for testing😀
Hi as I don't use games can i use just the tv device only to watch tv please
So if my devices doesn't have us port it won't gonna work or usb cable is for audio?
This wireless HDMI works also in the Camera with Type C port or HDMI port?
Yes, it is. But for type c, it needs an extra adapter or one HDMI to USB C cable
Does it allow for multi-monitor setups? If I have 4 monitors can it accommodate that?
RGBlink 4K Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver Kit,Plug and Play,Wireless HDMI Extender One Transmitter and Two Receivers is available in Amazon now
this is good but if you are playing FPS game you might want to use regular HDMI or Display Port due to no input lag but this product is cool.
I prefer a hdmi 2.1 switch with a remote control. Is much better than switching that stick from device to device
What is its range and is there a delay in the image?
Interesting, but it will cost about 120 dollars for each HDMI cable I would be replacing with this gadget, unless I unplug the receiver and transmitter each time I want to use a different device, which makes no sense. Also, there's the possible lag as has been reported here, so that's ok I will stay with my HDMI cables.
Brilliant!!! So you get rid of one cable and replace it with 2 - the extender to the usb cables.
That's what I call real genius. Yet again, another product that solves a problem nobody has ever had. 🤣🤣
Does you just need an Xbox or can you put it on a PlayStation game console
can you use the transmitter? without plugging the USB cable. n
does it use bluetooth as a medium? or through wifi on same network?
is 144 hertz (3d-shutter) on 1920x1080 possible with these transmitters? it would be the same pixel per second as 4k in 36 hertz.
Now I can put my pc to my store room, and my monitor to my bedroom, to have more space.
Are there settings available for the dongles??
Mine has a web based settinge screen and also have updating feature within the settings page.
Yeah, but not all consoles have a usb port to power the thing. What then? I would love to use it on my Apple TV. Oops, no usb! lol
Roku 4K stick works just like this😊
What is the power requirement over the USB cable? Similar to a Firestick?
What USB cable? It should be powered by the HDMI port. Having USB cables attached to it and plugged in elsewhere would kind of negate the "wireless" aspect.
I might have missed it but is it HDMI 2.1 compatible?
Nowadays computer display manufactures should already have this built in, and should use the Bluetooth connectivity, I work from home and I use 3 monitors, so this will not work for me. Good vid though.
can this be used on a HDMI splitter? I have cameras ran and would like to view them in the 3 rooms in in the most. Could i plug the transmitter to the splitter and the receiver to the monitor in the 3rd room and it work?
(I cant neatly run the 3 HDMI cable neatly to the 3rd room)
Will it work on the ps4 slim wanna buy it do it stream the video play like twicht cause i dont know but when u stream video console they look batter to that s like a hack that let u use the full image cuality ? I wonder wanna know 🤔🤔🤔 curious about ot
do these work good if my ps4 is in another room upstairs and tv down?? or would the signal drop??
