A laptop is just not as close to convenient as a steamdeck, At any point, you could leave your large size monitor home and just rock out with the 7" screen. Bus, train , passenger seats, airplane, hospital bed, you could even play while walking.

if the display is 60hz, the deck will output 60 hz

i didnt do a full test battery test, but it does take at least some power from the deck
