    Another great video, Joey. Good work! Any chance you'll be upgrading your camera and garage lighting soon?

    Hey quick question... What would happen if you didnt put the bottom locking collar all the way back down at the bottom and just locked it in place where you rotated it to?
    Also, of course I know you never unlock the top preload collar, but can you use that one to adjust height the same way you do the bottom? They both seem to turn when you use the other?
    Hope that makes sense.

    My OCD is kicking in lol did you measure these exactly after adjustment or were you just eye balling it throughout?

    • @JoeyMontalto
      @JoeyMontalto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I measured all 4 corners again. The front is the same and the rears are the same.

    Hey Joey. Do you know the length between the collars? I would set the same length for my coilovers. It’s a nice ride height.

      Not sure. I was measuring from the ground to the fender. To make sure once on the ground both sides were perfect. They were all the same when installed but I learned quick when I was measuring the car was on the ground. The car has different weight on each corner so they were all slightly different.

    Only after pulling the trigger on these did I start to see horror stories about guys chasing clunks/squeaks for months. Are you experiencing any kind of noises like that?
    Waiting on mine to come in and feeling some worry.

    • @JoeyMontalto
      @JoeyMontalto  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t have any extra noises. Make sure you tighten the endlinks a lot. The clunks are from the endlinks not being tight enough

    • @PY_8914
      @PY_8914 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the time, the clunk comes from the preload.. some coilovers do not come preloaded.. if your coilovers have the little yellow tag then it has been properly preloaded by a fortune auto tech but if not then look at there website on how to properly preload it.

      Did you ever get them installed? Any clunks? I’m getting my FA500’s installed on Thursday and also a bit worried.. keep us posted

      @@JoeyMontaltothat’s what heavymetalWrx said it was coming from.. don’t think he completely got the noises gone from what I seen in his last video

      @@waybach all good here. Had a slight clunk after alignment. Just had to tighten front passenger side end link. They don’t make a peep. Enjoy.

    Hey Joey! What number did you torque your endlinks to?

    • @JoeyMontalto
      @JoeyMontalto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Extra tight. I have had no issues with them making noise.

    • @mariot8879
      @mariot8879 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you happen to know the number by any chance? I was hearing that stock torque numbers on aftermarket coils were bunk and that some were hearing noises as well

    • @JoeyMontalto
      @JoeyMontalto  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mariot8879extra tight. I'm not sure why everyone is having an issue with the end links. Just make it tight and you're all set. If it makes noise then it's not tight enough.

    Did you have to align when readjusting the ride height?

    You know what the torque specs for the top nuts of coilovers for engine bay & trunk? & you left the OEM end links???

      @JoeyMontalto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I reused the oem endlinks. Still have zero issues with them. Not sure of the torque spec
