@@Autofreakgarage it does see crap on the road though. Where do you think all of that corrosion came from? I figure $100 is a small price to pay to protect $2k worth of coils.
It was my daily for the first year or two of ownership. Saw inclement weather, salt, brine, snow, etc. this current set won’t see any precipitation of any kind. It’s not my daily anymore and only taken out on warmer, dry days. But yes, for others that use their cars year round, covers are a wise investment.
I was not aware that a simple tape measure would be accurate enough. Easy to be off by a mm or a 1/32 with a bent tape. Or maybe its just my measurement OCD lol. But if it is good enough it is good enough. Regardless impressive looking coilover. Not my cup of tea but a quality suspension component none the less.
I’m really deciding whether going for koni yellow /gc or the fortune autos ,only considering koni yellow/gc because it’s a bit cheaper. What will be the best choice and bang for my buck?
It looks like the lower mounts on the new coilovers are about an inch taller? Based off of what I see at 18:58 but I may be mistaken. Maybe that was how the height was off.
hey scooby for the fronts did you run into the problem of your bottom coilover almost hitting the axles? thanks been following the build for a couple yrs, going to miss it 😢
I don’t. Anything suspension related I use an impact. Anytime I use the torque specs it always clunks and clangs. Quick zip of the impact solves that quickly.
Hey man i bought some fortune auto coilovers and my ride height is uneven for my rear coils. I adjusted my rear right to almost max out to match the ride height for the driver side rear. Do you think its because of the gas tank?
Check the driver front. The car is an x axis and when you are lower on one side to be even, it’s because the opposite side opposite end needs to take some pressure off.
These coil overs are awesome. I have some on my LGT and they are fantastic. I bought mine from Cygnus and it seems they are the cheapest
11:25 You really should run coil covers. It'll keep everything clean, and easy to work with, as well as improve the longevity of the shock.
This car doesn’t see rain or snow

I use some cheap amazon calipers. It worked out well lol.
@@JHNBHN That makes good sense to me 👍 and would satisfy my measurement OCD. 🤣
I wonder what the measurements are for stock height
Car is sitting so nice man! The fitment is perfect.
Such an motivational channel, & dude I love your garage setup. Next a lift? Lol
Love all you video help me out a lot thanks

Both are good options, but having the full adjustability of true coils is the way to go. Can really dial in to your liking.

Collar sizes were different so it through the height off a bit
Howd you get it not to rub? And what softness or stiffness do you havw them at
Camber is your friend. Check out my how to adjust video for damping settings th-cam.com/video/ktkDWmoVaOk/w-d-xo.html
Coilover covers , life saver
Definitely a sold investment if you drive in snowy/colder environments.
Never needed them in SoCal

Didn’t have that problem on mine. Something isn’t installed or lining up right if you are having that issue.
hi, Love the content.. sweet ride.. I notice the breaks. what brand is the rotor set up. drilled holes look so hot??? thanks

Sweet that was awesome work bro respect clean an excellent looks good man
If I wanted to get a similar drop what would you recommend I do not have rolled fenders.
You will have to roll the rears to achieve this height
19:50 where did you get that screw bolt?
Been neglecting the Sti. Good to see u back at on with her
Do you happen to remember the torque specs for the rear? I can’t seem to find them

@@Autofreakgarage I appreciate you always getting back to me with all my questions man. Thanks alot!
@johnneildeluna3792 no problem! Always here to help when I can.
No rubbing? Damn I am impressed it doesn't rub when that low lol XD
I'm sure it does on compression.
How much for your old coilovers?
They have already been sold
@@Autofreakgarage damn 😭😭😭ok
Do you have any adjustment suggestions for the end link? I’m getting clunking noises from them
Torque them down more while under load. A good zip of an impact usually solves the issue.
@@Autofreakgarage thanks I currently have them torqued to 33lbs , did you end up doing more than that ?
Used my impact on mine. So much more than 33 haha.
@@Autofreakgarage oh wow lol ok I’ll give it shot then !
nice job man !
Tight fit, did you roll your fenders??
Rears have been rolled from a couple different setups ago.
bummer you dipped, hopefully the new ride isn't costing you too much
Just curious what are your thoughts on wing stabilizers?
Not a big fan of them at all
@@Autofreakgarage what do you recommend for the vibration in the spoiler when going above 110kph (68mph)
@@Thechaoscrusadors wing stabilizers
@@codyhendrickson7735 that was my first thought and action aswell. I am curious what others do if they dont use them.
@@Thechaoscrusadors the only other option is to get a different style of wing.
Yuuuussss
You'll be off by a few mm. a digital gauge would be more accurate
Using a tape measure always has room for error but has worked for me. I’ve been meaning to get a digital caliper.
Mine lasted a month tilll they started leaking
