  • When you own JXL Brass, do you need Berlin Brass? Both libraries are created by Orchestral Tools. Very often I heared the question. So let's compare them. And what about CineBrass by CineSamples? (Not my idea ;-) I use ALL of this libraries and much more.

very comprehensive comparison. And nice that you play the same passage with every library. This helps to built a judgement based on sound and usability. Great job Tim ;)

Holy crap this is exactly the video I was looking for, I was looking to buy one of these 3 but they all seem to have good things going for them ,so I wanted to see their timbre, articulations e.t.c awesome!

Great video, Tim: I love to blend Berlin and JXL, using Berlin's individual instruments. These two can do everything I need. I hardly use Cinebrass or even sonore any more as JXL +Berlin get a better sound faster:)

Thank you. That is a great idea. I forgot to show blending JXL and Berlin Brass. Works perfectly.

Combinations in Cinebrass Core & Pro as well as the FX make it more than worth it. There are a few sections that I would pick Junkie over it.

Hello Tim, danke für die video. This helped me to make my decision. I will purchase Berlin Brass and Berlin Woodwinds. These are fantastic libraries. Please suggest me a solo string library that is able to accompany well with the woodwind instruments.

Hello Bulent, thank you for the feedback. Great that I could help you. Now the Berlin Brass got fff at their newest version. For solo strings I like First Chair (Orchestral Tools) and Cinematic Solo Strings.

@@timheinrichenglish8782 Hello Tim, today I purchased Berlin Woodwings and I liked it very much. Now, I am thinking if I have to buy the Berlin Brass or go with CineBrass. Because you said that Berlin Brass is good for composing orchestral music but not for big epic cinematic music. With the addition of fff, do you think it can change your idea
      ?

@@bulentkamali They are totally different. At CineBrass you got 6 horns and 12 horns and deep monster brass. But Berlin Brass has got 50% discount and single instruments. I prefer this for playing chords. I use CineBrass for solo lines or add ons.

Nice video Tim, thank you! I read at the Orchestral Tools site that: "Berlin Brass now has an additional fff layer for those passages that need an extra edge". And: "The SINE edition builds on the extensive articulations and dynamic depth of the original collection, adding a triple-forte layer for producing the most forceful passages". What does this mean; The Berlin Brass now has been updated and can play as loud and fortissimo as the JXL Brass or not? I am asking you because I intend to buy Berlin Brass with the whole bundle if plays as loud as JXL Brass.

Hi Fanis, thank you for the nice feedback. Yes, Berlin Brass at sine now has additional fff. Now you can play the full dynamic range.

Right now Berlin Woodwinds and CineWinds. I prefer Berlin Woodwinds. CineWinds is just for the additional instruments like alto flute. And some patches of other libraries.

I use cinebrass pro and core. I can't afford Berlin brass, and Junkie XL just didn't hit the mark for me, although I did buy the solo horn...

The best brass plugin comparison video. I was also looking for a guitar vst instrument that can produce a clean guitar patch like you would hear in Puff Daddy "Best Friend" song. If you can help me in this regard I would really appreciate.
