The part that put me off f4VR the most after coming from a modded skyrim vr was the complete lack of anything to do with my left hand. Sure, you're moving around with it, but the whole point of VR is to be able to grab at stuff and interact with it. Here you just have a finger gun, where as in Resident evil 4 VR, you can completely manipulate a rifle with both hands and even dual wield if you want to.
That clip from BF4 you used is like a sleeper agent activation word for me, on the ps3 version of the game you can die on the roof of the skyscraper on the second level which puts you in an infinite black screen that required you hard restart the campaign meaning even on easy I have to replay that opening scene like 14 times just to get past that stage to unlock the P90, it triggers my lizard brain

ENBSeries is 3d graphic modification for games like TES Skyrim, TES Oblivion, Fallout, GTA, Deus Ex, and others. It work by modifying render functions calls of the games and applying additional effects. It's divided to generic versions and exclusive. First category allow to run it on thousands of games, not all effects will work, but you can try several versions of mod to find best suited. Second, exclusive types of the mod, are games specific versions which developed to work with some game and rarely with same game engine. Available effects are SSAO, SSIL, Depth Of Field, Lens FX, Bloom, HDR, Tone Mapping, Sharpening, Sun Rays, Shadows, Detailed Shadows, Reflection and others in various versions of them.
Replaying my favourite games in VR has been one of the best gaming experiences I've had in decades. I was waiting for this since the 90's when VR was promised to us :)
I remember when "3d" was the new hotness. Not 3d rendering, but 3d projecting(?). Nvidia had this magic box that would make a surprising number of games 3d for a 3d monitor without anything special. I'd assume it was a coding thing the magic box woule figur out. I really hoped that would gave translated to VR by now. I just assume it's not worth it for publishers to officially convert old games. It would be nice, though. Y'all remember PhysX cards? Man. The mid 2000s were crazy.
Playing Metro 2033 with that was absolutely wild, got hit by one of those spiked log traps while using the 3D and I just stopped playing. Scared me so damn much. In games that support it, it adds a second "camera" to the game to create the stereo effect, fallout 3 was one of the games that could do this, and it did pretty well IMO, but Metro was definitely the best that I played. The hard part with VR is rebuilding the weapons to work with hand tracking, in a traditional game it's all tied to the mouse, but you need to separate the weapons from the camera, and considering most games spawn the projectile or do hitscan calculations from your face outward, you need to recode the way the engine calculates projectiles, in some games where it's just spawning the projectile and firing it out an axis, it can be done by tieing the projectile to a hand position instead of the main camera, I've done this in UE4 before, but that's not the case, and considering how much of a dumpster fire fallout 3's engine is, I'm not surprised there hasn't been any real effort to convert it. Though I would love it if someone did.
