    Photos look stunning on the Pixel, although the iPhone isn't far behind. Video is Apple's strong point, especially in dim lighting conditions. But what really surprised me is how much detail and clarity the Pixel 6 captures at 18:08 this is amazing! If Google finds a way to reduce noise in video, it could really surpass the iPhone in some areas!

      You didn't hear the sound quality it was way better and clearer on the pixel.

      You have to reduce brightness in low light video, default shoots too high iso, reducing the brightness you see less noise.

    Hands down the Pixel 6 is better. The camera on the base model Pixel 6 is better than the iPhone 13 Pro models.

    Definitely getting the pixel 6 when I can switch for my first upgrade. To me the iPhone highlights your skin that it makes it more red/yellow when on the Google pixel it seems more natural to what I'd expect in real life.

    This review shows all the weaknesses of the iphone 13, from the ultrawide pics, the portrait mode, night mode by way of the microphone quality! The iphone 13 sounds like in a barrel full of water, too low and noisy. Pixel 6 is the BEST here no doubt. Thank you for the great video🙌🏾👍🏽

    Great job on the comparison.
    Though the photos and videos are very close in a lot of regards and I agree that it comes done to preference, I don't agree with the color temperature on the iphone.
    The iphone looks to be warmer colored on the front cam while the pixel feels a lot warmer on the rear cams.
    But definitely going to get me a pixel 6 pro now:)

    The iPhone 13's microphone sounds muffled when the Pixel 6 sounds way clearer. Pixel 6's front facing camera is horrible in low light video. It looks like a webcam from 2006 😂

  • @docholliday1811

    I would have to say the photos are for the most part equal to each other. The differences I believe become a matter of preference, same the video for the most part. I own a Pixel and an iPhone so I am in both camps. Great video.

    As an Australian where phone prices are insane compared to the USA (pixel 6 is $999 base here and iPhone 13 mini is $1200) the pixel 6 is the first time I've ever been able to consider buying a flagship phone while its still being manufactured! The fact it cost so much less than the iPhone and has all the features I'm looking for (which the iPhone doesn't) is absolutely incredible and gives me hope that more companies will follow google down the path its taking and chill out with the over the top price tags and useless gimmicks for glass sandwiches. I'm extremely hyped to see what comes from all this!

    Pixel is a bit too sharp when it comes to faces - most likely they will tweak it with updates. Otherwise great. I don't like that iPhones are so aggressive with photos. It adds a bit of drama to photos, but often they are simply unrealistic. The audio difference while recording is just stunning. I also like how Pixel can make different night shots. There is huge differnece between regular and night mode, so you can pick what you want to achieve photo you like. On iPhones regular mode and night mode are almost the same most of the time.

    The Pixel 6 holds it own very well. But I don't know if it's just my imagination or what I'm seeing, but it's like on the pixel 6, the ultra wide handles low light better than the main lens which is strange but overall I'm going to give it to the pixel 6 photos and I think that'll be my choice. Also the zoom is surprisingly well, don't think I'll miss the telephoto on the 6 Pro

    You were incorrect, 13 mini maxes at 4k60fps on the front camera, not 4k30 vs 1080p. Pixel wins daytime photos with more detail when cropped but iPhone colours of the flowers is nice, makes red roses pop. Low light photos the 13 mini seems to have done better and on video day and night, pixel had better audio though through out but it’s 7x zoom on video isn’t focusing. I prefer the 13 mini camera ❤️. Great video as always

    iPhone's portrait mode is better. But the Pixel 6 has a large enough sensor and wide enough aperture that you can just get natural bokeh and skip portrait mode fakery entirely. I've only been using portrait mode for pictures of objects, which the 6 is better at than the iPhone.
    By the way, PSA, you can reduce the (overdone) blur effect in portrait mode photos of in Google Photos.
    Only thing I'm jealous of from the iPhone is macro photography.

    • @GrantLikesTech
      @GrantLikesTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I know about the Google Photos editor. I just show how they come out of the camera based on what the camera decides. You can also step down/up the f-stop in post on the iPhone since it tends to be even more aggressive. Pixel 6 Pro telephoto pretty much gives you a macro mode.

    • @LucidStrike
      @LucidStrike 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrantLikesTech Telephoto can at least 'approximate' macro, yeah.

  • @pyro226
    @pyro226 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The pixel seems to constantly have focus issues on objects that are outside the center of focus. It's speech enhancement, while reducing background noise, murders the quality of the audio. It would likely be much better to edit it in post. iPhone's front camera was looking a lot better. Honestly, we're at the point where telephoto needs to come to base models of phones. The lack of it on the Pixel 6 is sort of ridiculous. The 6 Pro has it, but is huge. Even the base 6 is fairly large.

    I think it's safe to say that the pixel has officially taken its crown back. 👑📸
    I honestly believe that as the pixel's popularity grows, Google will put more resources into the phone where it'll push it to be lightyears of head of all other phones. And the gap will be harder to close. Outside of the camera, they're already redefining how we use our devices.

    Overall both devices do great as individual devices but I'm going to go with the Google Pixel 6, I just enjoyed the detail and colors much better on the Google Pixel 6 pictures and I did on the iPhone 13.
    Video at night from the rear cameras was weird because you could see the flickering of the lights, which wasn't actually the lights but the 6 was brighter visually than the 13.
    But when shooting from the front of these devices the lights, were not flickering interesting? I'm sure you will be able to give me the reasoning why LOL...
    Again much brighter video at night from the Google Pixel 6.

    The mic on the iphone is terrible 😔 the google wide lens are criticized because its only 114 degree but with that degree there is less distortion and artefacts, i am perfectly fine with that degree only could use a higher quality lens.

    Pixel is way batter than iphone in camera category !!! Nice review👍
    Compare pixel with vivo x70 pro.... I know people would laugh on this comparison , but it will be a fun video

      I'd love to get my hands on the Vivo. Wanted the X60 Pro+ last year too.

    I'm buying the Pixel, hopefully Apple will give me a generous trade-in value when I upgrade to the iPhone 14

    at the beginning of the video you indicate that the front camera pixel writes 4k video, is this a mistake?)
