The low light photos can still be better than the iphone, but once you start to zoom in the picture, the difference is quite big.

The overall colour scheme in pixel looks more natural...Whereas the iphone has a very light yellowish hue whenever foliage is involved in the frame. Selfie portraits looked better in the iphone though. Given the huge price gap, pixel is definitely the logical choice here unless you are an iOS fan.

About the audio test, you could play a music in the background and record it - just to test the audio quality(specially the bass) from both cameras... because what I notice in iPhone recorded videos is that the bass is so impressive than the other phones, but people don't notice to that detail, when buying smartphones.

I just bought a 6a. I'm not into Apple products. The closest I've come to owning "anything Apple" was on my Amiga 3000. I ran Apple's "System 7" on my Amy (using Shapeshifter) because Netscape wasn't available for the Amiga.

Came from the A52s to a 6a and battery is a little better on the Samsung, so is the display and charging but apart from that pixel all the way, awesome haptics, animations, user experience and the camera is amazing. A52s doesn't come close even compared with a73 pixel came out on top
i have both pixel 6a and iphone 14. For a normal user there is not much difference between their camera. Other factors are more battery in making choice between them.
Good review. I suspect that the speech enhancement on the Pixel 6A may not be helpful. I have the Pixel 6 and it doesn't make the audio better. Also, do you have any thoughts on the role that TH-cam plays in your reviews. I see a lot of compression artifacts on TH-cam, mainly luminance noise reduction. Especially in low light, areas of solid color, or very little detail. The color WB is less affected by TH-cam compression. The settings used by the audience to view the video, can also affect TH-cam compression artifacts. Viewing a TH-cam video at the highest resolution possible provides the least compression artifacts. But most people view TH-cam on a phone, at automatically selected resolutions, which are dependent on the quality of the cell signal. And these resolutions are usually below 720p. The end result is that no matter how expensive your camera is, when the video is uploaded to TH-cam, it looks bad. Which means that for video specifically, maybe a basic cheap camera like the Pixel 6a is all we really need.

Always depends what you're doing with your phone. If you want to push it with intense processing tasks, then maybe. Tensor was designed more to support Google's AI and Pixel features, which has worked fine for what I use the 6a for. Appreciate your thoughts on this though.
The quality of Pixel 6a reminds me of what I got with my old Lumia camera, only much better. Given the fact that they are phone camera, nobody would choose either only because of the camera.

Pixel 6A good smartphone for its price ($330-350 in my area) but high PWM and energy inefficient Tensor chip could be deal breaker for some people.
While I enjoy pixel phones a lot, any processor that Samsung seems to touch always overheats. They need to fix that
