Not gonna lie, I never really cared for Hydra in the first Captain America movie. Were actual Nazis not good enough villains? Did we really need super Nazis who use laser guns and salute with two hands because they're extra evil?
That being said, Hugo Weaving is always entertaining to watch, and they did end up becoming a more compelling force in Shield and Winter Soldier when they ditched the super Nazi schtick and went full black ops.
To be fair "Hydra" predates the Nazis(at least in some of the older Marvel lore). They were a religious cult who the Red Skull paid lip service to but ultimately he lead the group away from the more religious undertones that had sustained it for centuries if not longer.
Whether or not the Hydra in the movies holds true to comic canon, I cannot say. But Schmidt did say Hydra could grow no further in Hitler's shadow.
While the Nazis achieved nothing but old age after they fled to Argentina and other places, Hydra continued moving forward.

It would be epic if when the Templin Institute grows bigger, got more people and makes separate channels for each of the different classifications of videos they do, like Templin Dossier, Templin Nations etc and the main channel would upload news, gameplay and streams. As my other comment says "God do I love this channel."
I don't know. Some channels were crushed by the overflow of information they provided. I think Dossiers and fictional organizations are sufficient.

Really glad that I found this channel. Loving the stuff you put together. As for a suggestion I'd love to see something on the Special Operations Brigade of the Grand Army of the Republic from the star wars eu. Always had a soft spot for those characters from the republic commando media.

Question: "in contact with the upper leadership of the Schturmabteilung"? You are talking about the Storm detachment, commonly shortened SA. This makes little sense. As far as I understand the occult tendencies mentioned could be found in the organisation "Schutzstaffel", the protection squadron, lead by Henrich Himmler who had kind of an obsession with neopaganism and teutonic mythology. If Hydra would rise from an organisation it would be schutzstaffel, not schturmabteilung. ??
Your quite right as There is a scene of Hugo Weaving in an SS Uniform as opposed to an SA Uniform.
There was a comic where he tried to join the SA, but was rejected. He was recruited by Himmler and he participated in the night of the long knives and seized the SA's assets. The comic deviated from history quite a bit cause the SA had a science division which Skull took over and made into an SS division
So many possibilities with this series you guys got going into characteristics and accomplishments of the numerous highly notable characters from different universes and series and I'm fuckin loving it. Hoping for a Dossier on Macharius or Ibram Gaunt if you guys ever decide to do one on Warhammer 40k.
I'd love for you guys to do a few Farscape dossiers. The one on the Peacekeepers and John Chricton should be particularly interesting.

You know, when I first saw Skull as caretaker for the Soul Stone, I felt like I'd been cheated. He's one of Marvel's biggest villains, chasing and battling Capt. America across time and space, and his ultimate fate is to be reduced to some allegory for Charon or something? That just sucks!

I was looking for the Earth Alliance from Babylon5/Crusade and could not find it. The Templine Institute should do a video on the Earth Alliance, since it already did one on the Minbari Federation. In fact, Templine should also do videos on the Narn Regime, Centauri Republic, and the other Babylon5 governments and various organizations such as PsyCorp.
