@@martinhappel6693 Can a Star Wars fan fiction movie BE over dramatic and cheesy, considering the REAL ones? Seriously? Movies don't get much more over dramatic and cheesy than Star Wars...but they are a crap load of fun, most of the time. I saw Star Wars opening night with a bunch of science fiction nuts from the local college. It was nuts!
@@markowen6150 Wow... Ok, so jackass why did you need to voice your opinion so meanly? He voiced his opinion in a pretty nice way. The nicest way probably, and was just giving suggestions on what's good and bad. You however, voiced your opinion in a douchy way. You could have easily said that you disagree, and that you think it was excellent. Jackass.
It's not like they had an extensive wardrobe or costume sets. They have limited budget, just as any Fan Film producers have. They used the funds more on CGI/FX I guess, than on costumes..
Because fan films don't have the budget to turn real subway stations into movie sets and shutdown the happening of life in urban or suburban areas, so they go for realism in the simplest, low budget way possible.
This is extremely well-done! From just a fan-film perspective, the story and choreography pay a truly worthy tribute to the Star Wars franchise. Special effects were great and the animation was on-point. Amazing job!
I wish Disney would put little stories like these in Canon. They wouldn’t effect anything in the slightest & would give recognition to these individuals who clearly deserve it. Well done
Ryan Centnarowicz Vader probably would have hunted him down. I'm aware it's fan made too so no need to waste your time telling me it is I'm just saying Vader would hunt him down and kill him because that's what he did to all jedi. pretty cool though
APOLLOTHEE EVO Yea it is a cool video or maybe the Padawan is still on Dantooine during when A New Hope happens? Like the part when Princess Leia lied to Grand Moff Tarkin about where the real Rebel base was. Tarkin sent Stormtroopers to search Dantooine expecting a Rebel base there so an army of Stormtroopers are on the planet and probably exterminated the Padawan. I don't know just a theory of mine.
I've seen a couple of these fan films now, and I'm really quite impressed by the quality - lighting is very good, the special FX are excellent generally (I know there a lot you can do with a Mac now), direction is good, acting generally good all round, editing good, props and wardrobe good to very good, sound is excellent. These feel like a film school student's final project, though I assume they are simply amateur made projects. They must cost a pretty penny to make? Well Done to everyone who is involved! Keep up the good work
Awesome job. Better than about 90% of what's coming out of Hollywood. Great tension build up. Nice camera angles during the confrontation. Compelling musical score. Loved it!
HOLLY SITH!! I was not expecting this, I was sucked in right from the start! job well is done, sir!!! the music, effects, directing the story absolutely amazing especially for a fan film
Despite the campy dialogue (guess that's to be expected in ANY SW film) your team did really quite well! I got actual goosebumps during more than a few moments in the saber fight. I got ZERO from any of the new SW films fight scenes. Great work! This actually made me feel a little better about the current state of the SW Universe.
You know I don't normally watch Star Wars fan films, they always come off really cheesy with the acting and the choreography of fights and they either try to do too much or well always try to do too much. But this one was much different. It was contained in its own place, the acting was great, the choreography was wonderful and the directing as well. This one gets an A+. Very well done!
You did EVERYTHING RIGHT! Right down to the intro, it was just like the originals, your one of the few fan films to truly make it feel like Star Wars, and not just feel like the Star Wars universe! You did a great job!
Truly one of the best fan films I've seen yet, really great work, fantastic acting and writing. Other than the back pack, it felt just like a cannon Star Wars story. Often the weakest point of these fan films are the acting and over reaching on the limited special effects budget, but this was not the case with this at all. Very high quality work begging to end. The light saver fight was especially well executed and truly perfect in my humble, nerdy, opinion. The effects in that scene especially were true to the original to a degree that surpasses all the high budget films, the prequels and sequels and other universe stories. The most i can say for this is that it left me wanting more, which is very rare for a fan film. i hope you make more, everyone involved in this film should be very proud and i hope continues to keep making films in all genres, including of course, Star Wars.
I really enjoyed this, but somethings don't really make sense haha. For example the bandit that mentioned "magical monks" that his dad used to tell him stories of.... If this is only 4 years after the fall of the Jedi, he would definitely know of the Jedi, and wouldn't need to be told stories as he would have lived through it himself. Also, and the inquisitor pointed this out, but he is way to old to be a Padawan, with it being only 4 years after the fall of the republic he should still be a lot younger. But like I said, I still enjoyed it! Good work! :)

+RaphProgListener First, There is only one hand of the Emperor. Her name was Mara Jade. The wife of Luke Skywalker and mother to his only son. And Anikin Skywalker was never a Sith.
three things I absolutely love this film. Number 1 is the music, amazing, creates a star wars feel. 2, the lightsaber fight is surprisingly well choreographed for a fan film, it was tight, and the saber fighting actually looked like real sword fighting. 3, the inquisitor is the best actor, still needs more work, but when I saw and heard him, he created the feel of an imperial. He had the correct amount of smug and arrogance and had the correct body language. One thing I disliked is the one imperial the jedi let go. It felt like he over acted at certain times and need to show a bit more facial expressions. Other than him everyone else did a decent job.
GENERAL GRIEVOUS QUOTE! I'd recognize that anywhere. And lol, love the reference you threw in there. Still, .... I can't help but feel a tiny bit sympathetic towards him. Especially since the only remaining parts from his original (read, - biological) body are his eyes and his heart. Hence, why he has such a nasty and persistent cough. (At least he went down fighting against General Kenobi - one of his biggest/longest standing rivals. ....... Though ironically, .... he was killed by "heartburn" in their last fight.) (Sorry, couldn't resist - but here. Have this little word pun, star wars based, inside dad-joke that my brother and have from "ROTS".)
EXTREMELY WELL DONE!! An absolute tribute to star wars and George Lucas. Excellent attention to his methods of cinematography. Very well done, please continue!!!
I like how fifty seconds into the crawl they just gave up on trying to be cool with the narratives and just went ahead and told us what is going on in plain English
I don't wan a look Like a nerd, but the lightsaber actually has a pressure sensor in the handle, so it's only able to turn on if you're holding it or applying pressure with the force if you're throwing it.
Anyone else question how there are no actual lightsabre marks on the fallen inquisitor? I'm fairly sure that this might be an indication of the inquisitor having used the force to move the lightsabre blade past him quickly and come back out. This was used in the star wars the clone wars scene on a sort of weird planet thing with representations of the force.
I enjoy Star Wars fan films, but generally I know that they can be pretty trashy. They almost always revolve around a fight, or some figure we know. Or just doom for a runaway jedi. They generally lack characterization, pacing, and all happen very quickly, regardless of the run time of the film. This is the first I've seen that felt about a journey, lasting over days. While your padawan character did feel a tad lifeless, just because he didn't talk much, the imperial agents were all given the time to flesh out some basic personality. Your cuts were great, your music, sound fx, lightsaber fx were all on point. However you did the imperial ships was incredible. Even your opening crawl felt very star wars. No colorful language and most importantly, no assumption of previous viewing. You just laid out of the facts of the story. Would absolutely love to see more from you, especially if you take the time to make these films about characters and their personal struggles. Incredible job.
I'm very much torn between thinking that's silly, and thinking that's completely in keeping with Star Wars' style of taking something banal and current, slapping some sci-fi stuff on it, and then calling it a super advanced piece of technology. I'm looking at YOU, DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.
Fucas101 I would have to agree with u. This was an excellent movie, but it was short (obviously due to it being a fan film...) I just wish it was longer and had more locations. I enjoyed every star wars film and really enjoyed the duel in this movie! 10/10 100% and a great fan film!
He's like half Qui Gon and Rey: Living in an isolated planet in peace and survives by whatever means necessary. Other than that, good job on the lightsaber fight and story! :)
@@AmericanSone5280 I guess that's your opinion but you have to understand that this is objectively lower quality with pretty bad acting and ok choreography. Impressive for a fan project, but there's no contest when comparing this to a Hollywood film.

Having said that, some of the visuals were AWESOME. That shot of the Star Destroyer appearing in front of the Padawan was fantastic. You definitely have heaps of talent with VFX.
Practise writing and directing your actors and you'll be churning out some fantastic shorts. Keep it up
Absolutely yes.
The acting was even pretty good. just the dialogue was cheezy and over dramatic.
So does Lucas
Reerunner you might be the dumbest Star Wars fan I’ve ever seen. This was excellent
Jackass.

You missed the imitation filson backpack and plastic camping-store water skin in the first minute.
Nothing wrong with that
It's not like they had an extensive wardrobe or costume sets. They have limited budget, just as any Fan Film producers have. They used the funds more on CGI/FX I guess, than on costumes..
Excellent fan film! Nice lightsaber scene! Good upload!

That Inquisitor remined me a bit of a mix between the Grand Inquisitor, Jerec and Tremayne.

It was n also disappointing
If you want to him to make more STOP SAYING BAD WORDA
He just made a sequel :)
Agreed, it's amazing what can be produced with modern equipment, compared to years ago.
The Mandalorin is better
Loved it and whoever plays the inquisitor did a fantastic job
Good job ! It's an amazing work. Congratulations !
Really good, but honest question here, why does every Star Wars fanfilm end up in the Woods/Forest
Ciaran McGuinness earth sucks
Because fan films don't have the budget to turn real subway stations into movie sets and shutdown the happening of life in urban or suburban areas, so they go for realism in the simplest, low budget way possible.
Ciaran McGuinness where else are they going to go though really? Can't do the city, mountains are a bitch. A beach perhaps..
Where do you expect them to film on mars ?
I would say it's a reflection of the Light side of the force. The Dark Side would probably be more like a Desert.
Wow I just found this today. Great job!! The acting was fantastic, especially the Inquisitor!
This is extremely well-done! From just a fan-film perspective, the story and choreography pay a truly worthy tribute to the Star Wars franchise. Special effects were great and the animation was on-point. Amazing job!
Than you very much for watching! I'm glad you like it!
Actually one the best star wars Fan film ever made ! congratulation ;)
Thank you so much! We really tried to make the best of the small amount of resources we had! This really makes it worth all the effort!
Nicely done guys, great music and VFX, very enjoyable. :)
Thank you for taking time to watch the film! We're glad you like ti!
I wish Disney would put little stories like these in Canon. They wouldn’t effect anything in the slightest & would give recognition to these individuals who clearly deserve it. Well done
this was by far one of the best fan films I've ever seen!
dude this is honestly a great film, like of course there were flaws, like any movie. all I can say I great job I am indeed impressed
The padawan better hide now Palpatine or Vader probably sensed this event and are probably on him now.
Ryan Centnarowicz Vader probably would have hunted him down. I'm aware it's fan made too so no need to waste your time telling me it is I'm just saying Vader would hunt him down and kill him because that's what he did to all jedi. pretty cool though
APOLLOTHEE EVO
Yea it is a cool video or maybe the Padawan is still on Dantooine during when A New Hope happens? Like the part when Princess Leia lied to Grand Moff Tarkin about where the real Rebel base was. Tarkin sent Stormtroopers to search Dantooine expecting a Rebel base there so an army of Stormtroopers are on the planet and probably exterminated the Padawan. I don't know just a theory of mine.
not to mention that star destroyer ;)
I want to see the Padawan face Darth Vader but sadly we know the padawan won't win.
both dead remember
I've seen a couple of these fan films now, and I'm really quite impressed by the quality - lighting is very good, the special FX are excellent generally (I know there a lot you can do with a Mac now), direction is good, acting generally good all round, editing good, props and wardrobe good to very good, sound is excellent. These feel like a film school student's final project, though I assume they are simply amateur made projects. They must cost a pretty penny to make? Well Done to everyone who is involved! Keep up the good work
wow! This is one of the best Star Wars fan films I've seen. Bravo good sir!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! We really tried to make it feel as much as Star Wars as possible.
This video is the best Star Wars fan film I have seen yet!
The Revan film is good as well.
Awesome job. Better than about 90% of what's coming out of Hollywood. Great tension build up. Nice camera angles during the confrontation. Compelling musical score. Loved it!
I do not discover this production until very late, and I am very impressed by its quality. A great job.
HOLLY SITH!! I was not expecting this, I was sucked in right from the start! job well is done, sir!!! the music, effects, directing the story absolutely amazing especially for a fan film

Joshua 115 yep
Mister lazer 925 Uh The working names were already announced even before they filmed this
Qui-Gonn Jin what? ( i am french ) donc je ne comprends pas
It was pretty good overall. It felt like an actual star wars movie at most parts.
Just watched The Last Padawan 2 and came here and watched this for the 1st time. Bravo on Both! Great Job! 💯💯👏🏽👏🏽
I got goosebumps from the new films. The cinema was cold 😂

Good work! :)
Therealchunion what do you mean on the last part
+RaphProgListener First, There is only one hand of the Emperor. Her name was Mara Jade. The wife of Luke Skywalker and mother to his only son. And Anikin Skywalker was never a Sith.

Therealchunion uh the inquisitors are already canon in star wars he didnt come up with it
Therealchunion Actually it depends on what planet he grew up on
three things I absolutely love this film.
When he puts the inquisitors lightsaber in the box
*A fine addition to my collection*
At 18:13 the Inquisitor is still breathing, after 12 hours of being dead.
Obviously someone didn't watch the second one... Its because hes not dead.
It’s real.
Rigamortis sets in. Didn’t you see his left leg in the air?
He must’ve high ranking due to the number of shiny brass buttons.

An absolute tribute to star wars and George Lucas. Excellent attention to his methods of cinematography. Very well done, please continue!!!
I like how fifty seconds into the crawl they just gave up on trying to be cool with the narratives and just went ahead and told us what is going on in plain English
puts lightsaber in box. takes off running through woods. light saber rolls over ignition and turns on. kills jedi. inquisitor wins
I don't wan a look Like a nerd, but the lightsaber actually has a pressure sensor in the handle, so it's only able to turn on if you're holding it or applying pressure with the force if you're throwing it.
@@Mattsimilate oh, so that's why the lightsabers always turn off when the wielder dies/ lets go of it, hmm, learned something new, cool
@@nopity3057 well, he was sliced in the front. But he fell on his belly thus blocking your view. Case dismissed

Would've been good if he'd have done it properly, I'd like to see a star wars movie with actual HEMA forms in it for a change
One of the best fan films I have ever seen. I was impressed to no end.
This fan Film looks like a real STAR WARS movie 👍
Colin Magerle then you make a film
GPK it's criticism not just bashing
I liked the samurai move at the end of the fight; the single cut and stand without turning.
In actuality, it's not the Star Wars movies that revolve around the characters, it's the novels and comics that give the background and lore.
Colin Magerle not to mention that padawan is a grown man and he looks like a knight
I saw Tie Fighters, I clicked like.

At least it's a phone and not a women's razor. 😊

Fucas101 the darth maul one is awesome
Fucas101 I would have to agree with u. This was an excellent movie, but it was short (obviously due to it being a fan film...) I just wish it was longer and had more locations. I enjoyed every star wars film and really enjoyed the duel in this movie! 10/10 100% and a great fan film!
