I’m so proud to be the mom of the screenwriter and producer of this amazing film. They worked so hard to bring this to the Star Wars fan world. The cast and crew are beyond amazing!
This was incredible. The costume design and puppet work was the best I've ever seen in a fan film. Those droids! They were so good! Loved the voice of that certain familiar character at the end. Amazing job
This has got to be one of the best, if not 'the' best Star Wars Stories ever made. The quality of this production is top notch. The acting was phenomenal. The set design, sound effects, visual effects, story, props, costumes, and everything else were amazing.
Few fan films would I describe as inspiring. This really felt like getting into the Star Wars underworld. Everything was perfect! The props, the sets, the costumes, the VFX, the writing, the cinematography, the music, the sound, the acting.... No doubt these people are deep in love with this franchise and every frame of this piece is a demonstration of it. Please do more!
Hands-down, one of my favorite, Star Wars projects, I’ve seen in so long. This is so well-made, and so respectful to fans and inspiring with unique intertwined story/new characters to a very familiar universe and very well captured. This is seriously incredible for a true Star Wars fan and filmmaker alike.
This one has has some of the best costumes and puppets I've seen. There's only a couple other fan films that are as good. The Ithorian, lizard-monkey and other cantina creatures looked right out of the original films.
This had got to be the best of the fan films I’ve ever seen, the quality, the props, the characters, everything is outstanding! I can tell your team was very passionate about everything
This movie officially becomes a favorite fan film. This adds to other fan movies I love: * Pink Five (5 episodes) * Tie Fighter (animation) * Star Wars Liberation * Star Wars Wingman * After Endor
Thank you so much for these recommendations, i've seen a lot of fan films, many of which are great. Your list are truly some of the best i've seen after watching all the ones on your list. Personal favorite might be.... I don't even know, all equally good in different ways!
I love that this insinuates Boba Fett wasn't the one to fall into the Sarlaac, he's got decoys! Great idea and the props and costumes and settings were perfect, well done!
the lighting especially recreates the cinematography of the original movies so well. A screenshot from scenes like the cantina could have me convinced it was from unused footage, remastered. Excellent quality all around! And entertaining enough to be worth the 25 minute watch time! (more like 35 since I replayed many moments haha)
😮 Gobsmacked! All the details from the Cantina, all the different characters, with some nods to the old ones, and some New ones. Special effects were pretty good. That first shot, with the ship coming in over Mos Eisley had me saying:"WOW!" out loud even! I loved it, one of the best! ❤❤❤
Absolutely Fantastic.....Loved every minute of it. Great actors and even better creatures in the cantina and all. Superb bounty hunter droid. Keep up the good work 💪🙌👍💯
i think is the best star wars short who i never saw, the costumes, the locations, the interiors was amazing so much quality of details, the best of the best
From the props to the acting to the score to the cinematography, this is absolutely stunning. I watched this and actually felt very immersed with the story. The production value of this is incredible and I even noticed an Easter egg or two. 10/10 excellent job!
Although I have seen already dozen of Star Wars fan films, I can honestly say that this is by far the best one ever. The music, the storyline, the locations, costums, the camera techniques, it is all very very well made, well done! Walt Disney can take an example out of this!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nicely done. I want to especially praise the costumer. The hero and side character outfits were very well done and felt very much in the spirit of the original movies. Good job!
As someone who's checked out of Star Wars of late... this surprisingly kept me hooked. Great look, great feel, and I want to know more about the characters. ... also, it's weird seeing someone like Akiva in this age. I expected her to kill the goons in the cantina but nope. She's the classic representation of a woman who knows her greatest asset is her charm and the actress nailed it. Even the peck on the cheek at the end there seemed so alien that I almost forgot Star Wars can have subtle intimacy like that. Nice sway of the hips, too!
Watched this at the Morpark Film Frstival! I knew nothing about this going into it, and it was pure nostalgia! The scenes, the acting. The characters, the directing, everything, screamed true starwars! I had such an awesome time watching this film and Birth of a Monster! Spectacular job to everyone involved in these amazing projects! Hearing all the actors talk about their experiences while making the films was so awesome! Again thank you for this amazong film!
EVC, as an independent filmaker myself, I understand the complexity, work, and endurance to produce such a fine example, your production quality is excellent, the story also. LucasFilm should definitely give call, your understanding of this Galaxy is outstanding. Love, new fan, and subscriber.
Amazing!! So happy to see another one of your films. It made me so happy to meet one of the actors at a local comic con. He actually is the one who let me know about those channel. Awesome work
Seriously so good!! You guys hit it out of the park with this movie!! WOW! The acting, the sets, the costumes, the droids, and the fabulous twist at the end!!! Great work.
Very well done. It looks like Star Wars. It sounds like Star Wars. It has the feel and grittiness of Star Wars. I guess it is Star Wars! I realize many of these fan films are people doing their best on a budget, but the care you all took to not have items on set that took me out of it like some of the films I’ve seen. People work hard to paint a picture, then they leave in a sitting area that looks like it was attached to McDonalds. It ruins all the other hard work they put in their film. You guys really paid attention to detail. Outstanding… really outstanding. Thank you!
How have I just found this now? The production level is insane for a fan film; it felt like if Disney fired all the executives who don't care about Star Wars.
This is Beautiful :D Noone can make Star Wars better than a fan! Love the story :) Production is fire to 'Fan Films' are really taking it to the next level in the SW's world. Costumes and sets are spot on
Definitely need more! Amazing production! Set design and costumes that looked like they were straight out of the original trilogy. Loved the cameo with Threepio and R2. Max Reebo band too! This gave me the feels thank you. Keep em coming!
This is excellent film-making, Escape Velocity Content! Stellar Special FX, make-up, and Costume Design. The score was on point. Hey, quite the "get", to have Steve Blum portray characters in your film...I thought, for a few seconds, We might actually hear Mr. Morrison's characteristic voice coming from Boba Fett. At this point, this looks like a possible side story/quest in the upcoming, Star Wars: Outlaws video game. This would also make for an interesting canon comic series. I wouldn't mind seeing some of this mentioned or dramatized in The Mandoverse (in segments relating to new daimyo of Mos Espa, Lord Boba Fett). What's truly scary? This is more authentic Star Wars than too much of the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries, and parts of Andor (I already care more about, and like, this character, Tiro, than Cassian Andor). Loved the cameo of R2 and Threepio...I guess Anchorhead is more kind to droids than Mos Eisley. Your premise of this being, "A Star Wars Story", fits in to an idea I've had for Disney + and movie theaters releasing, on occasion, special short films of The SWU, kind of in the same vein as Marvel Studios' very successful, Werewolf By Night short film. I hope there's another installment of Sands Of Fate, or another story involving these interesting, quality characters. I wish you all continued success in your present and future creative endeavors. Bravo! Thank you, and May The Force Be With You...
Excellence all around, in all aspects of production here. You guys really nailed the entire look and feel of the original Star Wars movies. This story belongs in that galaxy and everyone involved should be commended for their efforts. This is by far, superior to anything the mouse has done recently. You guys need to be fully funded and allowed to keep creating!
Masterpiece Fan Film! A real Gem guys! I thoroughly enjoyed this sensational short film and I was actually butt hurt when the credits rolled because I wasn’t ready for the adventure to end!!! Looking forward for more episodes asap
Great job Nathan and film makers, this was truly amazing and the production value was incredible. As a Star Wars fan this was definitely high on the list...hope to see more from you guys!
This is so brilliantly done. Well done to cast and crew. You put Walt Disney to shame in a big, bold, beautiful way. My only question, is how do you guys find the time, energy, passion, and commitment to pull off a great film when there are people getting paid hundreds of thousands to put something half as decent as this?
My god Disney, THIS is how you tell a story!!! Doesn’t need 8 episodes of slow filler and what a freaking great twist on Bobas “demise”! This is Tales from Jabbas Palace brilliance! Recently cancelled Dismay+ (I typed what I typed) due to both marvel and SW failures as well as nearly doubling their member cost. How fantastic and refreshing to feel Star Wars again here. Thanks SO for making this.
Wow! Decent acting, great costumes, props and settings. I forgot I was watching a fan film and not an actual high budget Lucasfilm/Disney production. Not to mention an Interesting story. I would have no problem accepting this as canon. Everyone involved in this should be proud of the end result.
Okay, respect where respect is due. Now this was very, very good. One of the better fan films that I’ve seen. After watching the awful acolyte, I’ve started to look for fan films that are made by fans like myself, who just want to tell a good story. Thank you. The acting, story, production, well everything, was vastly better than a lot of what Disney have created. Hope you make another one.
Great job! Someone surely knows Star Wars lore. This is in my top 3 Star Warts Fan Films from the last decade. Kudos to the Director and stunning cast, your hard work shows and is appreciated. I was the 9 year old kid who stood in line with my grandmother and aunt the week Star Wars: A new hope opened in San Diego all those years ago. No matter the movie or plot or cast, I will always follow Star Wars and all of its family tree forever. The force is indeed strong with this one, Good luck!
Disney needs to open an "Independent Star Wars Fan Film" Division. Offer grants to people like Tim and this group to create more Star Wars Fan films...what a great idea. Provide competitions for up and coming film makers to make Star War stories of all varieties. I love these independent stories.
I’m so proud to be the mom of the screenwriter and producer of this amazing film. They worked so hard to bring this to the Star Wars fan world. The cast and crew are beyond amazing!
Ma'am, They did an awesome job!!!
You can !
This is such a Mom post to make and I'm seriously here for it lol
We moms gotta rep our kids! Thanks@@davyman2000
I’m blushing, Mom ❤ Thanks for always supporting your nerdy sons. We love you!
Is it just me, or is the Star Wars bar scenes the freakn BEST
you can add my son and grandson to give you 2 mo' "LIKES" !!
You’re right!
Filmed at Scum & Villainy on Hollywood blvd.
This was incredible. The costume design and puppet work was the best I've ever seen in a fan film. Those droids! They were so good! Loved the voice of that certain familiar character at the end. Amazing job
❤️🤖❤️
WOW.. What an amazing way to integrate a story into the Original Trilogy... Very clever and well done. Love those spider droids.
EXCELLENT!! NO CHEAP ACTING EITHER!!! LOOKS TOTALLY PRO!!
Yes! The acting is usually pretty bad in most fan films. Not this one. Exceptional!
OMG this is the BEST fan made SW movie I have seen!!!!! If Disney had made it, it would have been the same quality. BRAVO!!!!
You mean *SUPERIOR* quality in story & dialogue but *same* in cinematography! 😊
No it wouldn’t. They would of had a Mary Sue play the lead.
Can we all agree we appreciate the Max Rebo Band!
Yes seriously it was so cool!!!
Let’s get an origin story!!
Woohoo! Thanks for the love
Would love to see their rise to denizen stardom.
Of course
This has got to be one of the best, if not 'the' best Star Wars Stories ever made. The quality of this production is top notch. The acting was phenomenal. The set design, sound effects, visual effects, story, props, costumes, and everything else were amazing.
Thank you :)
I loved the two spider droids clutching each other's legs to roll faster than they can walk
That was pretty awesome!!
Few fan films would I describe as inspiring. This really felt like getting into the Star Wars underworld. Everything was perfect! The props, the sets, the costumes, the VFX, the writing, the cinematography, the music, the sound, the acting.... Thank you so much. Our team appreciates your kind words.
We are born and raised Star Wars. Fans living the dream of contributing to the galaxy far far away...
This means the world to us. So glad you enjoyed all the effort. We’ve been fans from the beginning.
Hands-down, one of my favorite, Star Wars projects, I’ve seen in so long. This is so well-made, and so respectful to fans and inspiring with unique intertwined story/new characters to a very familiar universe and very well captured. This is seriously incredible for a true Star Wars fan and filmmaker alike.
thank you so much Jamie! We love the ones you have done!
Thanks so much, Jamie! Seriously, that means a ton coming from you. I definitely appreciate your friendship and support. You’re one of the good ones.
Awesome story line. I’m 50 and an original star wars kid you did a great job
This one has has some of the best costumes and puppets I've seen. There's only a couple other fan films that are as good. The Ithorian, lizard-monkey and other cantina creatures looked right out of the original films.
Tim Martin is a stunning creature sculptor. One of the best working in Hollywood. He also has an instruction series on the Stan Winston channel.
Hey Disney. This is what a Star Wars film really looks like........ superbly done.
right??
Agree!
Star Wars would be gone forever without films like these.
😂
There is evidence to suggest that catholic Kennedy sought to destroy George lucas's legacy because he romantically spurned her.
What an amazing way making a story which can expand on characters in a different way. This can easily be plugged in between ESB and ROTJ. Bravo!!!!
Thank you!!
amazing job! loved every minute of it! especially that ending 👏🏻👏🏻
This had got to be the best of the fan films I’ve ever seen, the quality, the props, the characters, everything is outstanding! I can tell your team was very passionate about everything
Wow. That was phenomenal!
can`t believe how you don`t have more views guys. Amazing work, keep it up.
This movie officially becomes a favorite fan film. This adds to other fan movies I love:

@@Toto-TK88 Forgot to list that but yeah.
I haven't seen pink 5 or liberation yet, seen the others mentioned
@@mac1701e I guess you have a few more to watch now 😉
I am extremely happy to have seen this short film. Really well done. Kudos for the making of this.
That twist at the end was pretty cool!
I love that this insinuates Boba Fett wasn't the one to fall into the Sarlaac, he's got decoys! Great idea and the props and costumes and settings were perfect, well done!
In 22 minutes you did something Disney hasn't done in 11 years. Kept me interested. I really wanted to see more. Great job 👏
So nice of you to say! A ton of volunteer work went into this and we had fun making it.
@@ChrisFBartlett well, damn fine job, guys. Keep up the great content. I appreciate you. ❤️🩹

Great fan film. Better than disney had done
This was amazing. Hats off to the entire crew!

Without a doubt one of the best Star Wars fan films out there! It deserves way more recognition.
Too bad it makes no sense at all. It is well executed however.
i think is the best star wars short who i never saw, the costumes, the locations, the interiors was amazing so much quality of details, the best of the best
thank you so much!
Great casting, scenery, acting, screenwriting, and directing. I hope to see more and good luck with your future endeavors
I give this the Chef’s Kiss. Outstanding!

Thank you!!
Yo! That was dope! Definitely a cool story with a what-if twist at the end. Well played.

Best comment!!! 💙🤖💙
So well done it hurt to see actual Star Wars again.
Perfect in every way.
The Book Of Boba Fett prologue. And its canon because it has Max Reebo in it!😊
It would explain why he was so easily knocked into the pit. He doesn't know how to control the jet pack.

Wow. Great one. This is more Star Wars than the prequels and sequels combined. ❤👏
Totally agree!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
I identified Steve Blum even through his accent. He's so great.
the best!
Impressive, just in time for the Fan Film Directors Choice Awards, you should enter.
Everything about this was awesome!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Probably the best overall-produced Star Wars fan film I've seen yet.
Unfortunately contradicts the later on-screen revelations in the Mandalorian series, however.
Good short movie, like original Star Wars with visual efects!
Came here after Birth of a Monster. In am amazed by the props made and the fantastic storytelling. Such an amazing film
