All of the stuff Disney makes lacks the depth that Lucas had always tried to incorporate. Just look at the old "Star Wars: Legacy Revealed" documentary. No comparison to the old stuff in how they write their stories. Regardless, clearly the whole Mandalorian civilization in the lore was made to reflect the Fetts since they were in the movies. The whole point was to give them a backstory and a reason for being bounty hunters. The Mandalorian series I'd say was fine but again like all Disney things it lacked something essential deep in the writing.
Yes of course, it's only because of the broad spectrum of Disney + viewers, the many casual viewers and new fans were made due to fett, that have never seen the Clone wars or the bad batch. OH MY GOSH, I was positively enchanted by this! What an amazing quality fan film. I loved how in-character you kept Bane's personality, and you made his whole character design look great in live action. The plot was tight and easy to follow. The fight scenes were compelling. I sure hope so! Subscribed.
I can't put in words how amazing this is. how much joy it has brought me to see such a wonderfully well mad fan film of the best badass bounty hunter in star wars cad bane. Cad is one of my favourite characters in star wars and to see you portray him to perfection here I'm in awe of this. I would happily watch a full series of something like this following cad banes life and then jobs he takes on. His look, you nailed the voice and mannerisms and was also quite nice to see a slightly sifter side to him with the jawa. Was kind of sweet in a way. But the ruthlessness and pure gunslinging talent was on point. A real force to be reconed with. And the costume oh my gosh this is just overall perfection. Please if you can make more maybe a series with cad bane and other bounty hunters he works with. Because this is astonishing work. Thank you so much for creating this and bringing a stunning badass to life in you're fan film :) how you managed to get the mouth to move is beyond me that's pure talent. I’ve seen a lot of fan films made post 2008, and I can confidently say this has been the best so far. Best production, costume, makeup, script, humor, acting. I want a Cad Bane series with these two. What a great sidekick.
WOW!!! How in the ever living blue Hell does this not have more views! This was incredible! And your choice of terrain for the film was both spartan and effective. It proves that you don't always need an exotic locale, or big budget effects to make a good star wars fan film or a good fan film of any genre for that matter. You just need the right characters, costumes and allot of love, passion and understanding of the genre you're working within to pull off something truly special. And as far as I am concerned you have done just that. This goes right up there with 'scene 38 re-imagined' for me.(If you haven't seen that yet you MUST watch it right now! It's right here on TH-cam!) I remember a time many years ago when Star Wars fan films flooded the internet and on bootleg DVDS at various conventions. Then for a time they seemed to go away. This is one of the first fan films I have watched in years and I couldn't be happier with it. Bravo to you and your family for all of your hard work and dedication to a franchise that you clearly love. I tip my hat to you all.
Holy Moly, this is really awesome! I love the way you portrayed Cad Bane, all his little movements from the way he was standing to the toothpick and the touch to his hat just felt perfect. Definitely more in Character than in The Book of Boba Fett. Great Work.
I love this so much, the atmosphere, the costumes, the camera angles, they’re all so good! But if you don’t mind just a tad of constructive criticism, I think giving bane just a little bit of voice modulation like in the show would be like the cherry off top of this masterpiece. Either way this is a great short film and I can’t wait to see more coming from you guys!
I agree the teeth are so much better also the eyes, the wide eyes on the tv show was a little distracting. The only thing with this was the acting but they were never claiming that. This was a family thing and I think it was awesome, that being said I thought the voice over was great. good jobs guys.
This was awesome and I shared with my sons. The greatest part about it is that’s not a random closed set. This is an old riverbed in central Texas as I recognize the Dino prints and the high walls. It’s great you managed to not catch anyone hiking in there and filmed certain areas so as not to expose the cliff wall tops and the various houses along the ridge. Very well done
This is one of the most impressive and convincing Star Wars fan films I've ever seen ! The costumes, the visual effects, the story... It seriously deserves a lot of attention, great job !
Great work, excellent voice acting, Cad Bane's voice down to a tee. You put Disney's crap writing to shame on a fraction of their budget. As a voice actor myself I'd love to work with such quality writers.
This was so so good, one the best fan films I've seen with professional quality ! The writing, special effects and mostly CAD BANE were great, you can be proud of your work
Cad Bane is one of my top 3 Star Wars characters. I would love to see him get a live action series. I was so excited when I found out he was going to show up in Book of Boba Fett until he showed up in Book of Boba Fett. They got his facial structure and mannerisms completely wrong, didn't have him do or say anything cool and then killed him off. But, you guys knocked it out of the park. Everything was spot on, even down to him without his hat. If I was being super picky I'd say he's a darker shade of blue than he is here or in BOBF. But, this actually felt like Cad Bane and T0D0 was perfect, too. Thanks for this, guys. Y'all crushed it. Would love to see more.
As everyone else has said this is visually stunning. Audio wise it could use some VO tweaks. I think some voice distortion like he has in the clone wars would go a long ways to completing the Bane feel and in the future perhaps slowing down his southern/western drawl to make his speech more deliberate and purposeful That all said I think this is what Cad Band should have looked like in book of Boba Fett.
Honestly as far as the look I think BoBF got it right. He wouldn't look like the cartoons because nothing in those cartoons looks like it's real world companion. Last I checked Darth Vader didn't have a very long, thin face, and Ewan MacGregor doesn't have a treebeard
@Vins Cocktails he was quite old by book of Boba fett and colors were washed out by the sun so that could explain some things there. Though I would've liked to see a wider brimmed hat which would make even more sense in the double sun's of tatooine
@@cfeauto5938 I had no problem with the colour. I think the mouth was the only significant thing that bothered me. It was too high and didnt have a toothpick
Excellent work! Really glad the algorithm threw this my way. I was fine with Bane's fate in TBOBF, but I definitely wouldn't say no to a standalone film or series, and this gave us an awesome sense of what it could be like. Really well done.
Extremely good. I would make a crack at the airplane in the background of one shot but that happened on the Mandalorian last season too. :P. Cad was especially well portrayed. I can't imagine how hard it must be to display any kind emotional bearing through that much facial prosthetic.
By the way she moved, I recognized Annalise first. The photography and artwork were excellent. I enjoyed the script as well. Congratulations to your family and friends. Blessings!
After taking a good look at the saber hilt itself, I looked up a curtain individual and I can indeed confirm, That is THE LIGHTSABER of who you think it belongs to.
I enjoyed the film. Good job on capturing the spirit of Cad Bane, and the Jawa for that matter. This film came out couple weeks after Book of Bab, I would almost say the depiction of cad in both productions is damn near identical, well for 1 big difference. The big red eyes. Great film none the less I really enjoyed it
WHY?? Why are these fan films SO much better than anything Disney produces?? It's beyond me! Great characters, great humor, the plot is interesting from the first minute.
Because disney only wants to make money and they base their "ideas"on statistical studies and not on what star wars really is about and the fan culture that sustains it..... but now that woke is not a modern thing any more I hope disney either goes bankrupt or just cancels the crappy teams making bad movies
better than disney really, I loved Cad bane in mandelorian he was a scary character. I have to admit this is just as good as some official stuff.the blending of CG and stage is very professional looking.
that is the orthodox statement online lately, but I can't help but notice instead of mentioning how good solo rogue 1 and boba fett were the point out commercial failure. I'm just sayin, not worked up about feelings to the point of disrespecting content. and "the fans" like everything serious and epoch like the originals but the three to five year olds today love light speed skipping or something. I even kind of liked the Obi wan show. the Gina carano stuff was a little offensive.@@CB-141

Wow, looks fantastic! Costume is really well done, so accurate like in the Clone Wars series, even much better than The Book of Boba Fett. Animation of Todo droid is outstanding! I loved Cad Bane's line at 7:02 as the reference to his first appearance in the Clone Wars s1: Senate Hostage. Great idea of giving Shadow Troopers with comouflage and sounds of Battlefront II from 2005. Great idea and awesome acting of Qual Tek, it was very funny and really interesting to watch! Your film has to be more famous, it's an art for Star Wars fan!
this destroys book of boba fett. they disrespected Bane, he is the underworld legend, and instead of playing off that, they do what every idiot in hollywood does, take the short cut and kill off the old character to manufacture drama, instead of writing it
@@ericm0612 I loved Cad Bane in the Clone Wars, also in the Bad Batch and I agree totally with you. I was happy that he has appeared in the Book of Boba Fett, but I was also disappointed. They could make it much better like fans did. Disney didn't give him also fckin toothstick xd
@@ericm0612 agree so much. Cad bane is one of the best characters in star wars and he's what gets me watching. He steals a scene the moment he appears with his badass style, voice and mannerisim. but in boba fett they did him dirty and I was utterly disappointed to see him wasted so early on and not brought into the show episodes earlier.. no way a badass like bane would be killed by pretty much a spikey stick by boba. After all he's lived through..it's like Disney had no idea about his character in boba fett. No rocket boots, no shocker on his gauntlets,no todo nothing except flame throwers and guns..what happened? Just look at the old "Star Wars: Legacy Revealed" documentary. No comparison to the old stuff in how they write their stories.
Regardless, clearly the whole Mandalorian civilization in the lore was made to reflect the Fetts since they were in the movies. The whole point was to give them a backstory and a reason for being bounty hunters.
The Mandalorian series I'd say was fine but again like all Disney things it lacked something essential deep in the writing.

Cad Bane is fascinating character.
Growing stronger in popularity due to the book of fett....and this well crafted cinematic treat!
Book? Bane was epic long before they ruined him there. This fan film respected him 10x more than they did in Book of Boba Fett.
Yes of course, it's only because of the broad spectrum of Disney + viewers, the many casual viewers and new fans were made due to fett, that have never seen the Clone wars or the bad batch.
People who don't know Bane that were introduced, will now go back and watch the animation stuff, and definitely click this Vid as well because it's fk'n fantastic.
Personally, I'm a bit more concerned about the Grand inquisitor, being a Pau'on
And looking like a human with face paint in Kenobe.
The moment she pulled out the lightsaber from Mace Windu was crazy dude!!! I enjoyed it so much, good work.
amazing how you managed to make the voice feel perfectly fitting despite not actually sounding like the original. That's a great performance right there
Gotta drop a sub, as Cad Bane is the coolest character in all of Star Wars. It's always nice to see him getting the attention he deserves.
OH MY GOSH, I was positively enchanted by this! What an amazing quality fan film. I loved how in-character you kept Bane's personality, and you made his whole character design look great in live action. The plot was tight and easy to follow. The fight scenes were compelling. I especially enjoyed the quips - i.e. the rocket boots, quadruple, etc. My favorite part was "Long live the Empire." Chills! If we ask VERY nicely, is there any chance for a prequel or sequel? I sure hope so! Subscribed.
I liked it WAY MORE than the one in Boba Fett!!!

I cosplay cad bane and haven't successfully managed this just a mouth full of pointy teeth XD amazing work and costuming
Wow, what great compliments. I bet your cosplay is awesome!
@@farrarfilm5950 you deserve the best compliments for this amazing fan film :) hope to see more sometime. My cosplay is ok lol love going to comic con in full cad bane mode XD

I agree, the voice could've been slightly better with some distortion but it was still awesome!
Honestly your live action Cad Bane was much better then in the Book Of Boba! Outstanding!
This isn’t live action
It's all live action. Todo is a 3D model, but everyone else is an actor in costume and makeup.
I agree the teeth are so much better also the eyes, the wide eyes on the tv show was a little distracting. The only thing with this was the acting but they were never claiming that.
This was a family thing and I think it was awesome, that being said I thought the voice over was great.
good jobs guys.
@@gaogaenssb5737 this is your typical abusive troll
LOL?
This is absolute gold not just the animation but the story telling
Thanks! It's live action, so the only animated character is Todo the droid.
Great job, Lucas's star wars still lives in the hearts of the fans. Thank you
This was awesome and I shared with my sons.
Masking
I was hooked in the 1st couple of mins. The Cad Bane character drew me in so much more than any character in the recent Star Wars films. Great work
This is one of the most impressive and convincing Star Wars fan films I've ever seen !
The robot sound just like Seth Green as well.
The more I hear Jawa's talk, the more I think they're just Minions in coats...
I would 100% watch this series. The Jawa is the true MVP of this episode. 😆
The design for Cad Bane in this fan film is better than what we got in Book of Boba Fett. Well done.
This was absolutely insane, well done to everyone involved!
It was very well done. Agreed!
I think some voice distortion like he has in the clone wars would go a long ways to completing the Bane feel and in the future perhaps slowing down his southern/western drawl to make his speech more deliberate and purposeful
That all said I think this is what Cad Band should have looked like in book of Boba Fett.
Honestly as far as the look I think BoBF got it right. He wouldn't look like the cartoons because nothing in those cartoons looks like it's real world companion. Last I checked Darth Vader didn't have a very long, thin face, and Ewan MacGregor doesn't have a treebeard
@@johnpeace971 the thing is that we saw his species before the TCW already and in my opinion they looked closer to the Cartoons than to Bane in TBoBF
@Vins Cocktails he was quite old by book of Boba fett and colors were washed out by the sun so that could explain some things there. Though I would've liked to see a wider brimmed hat which would make even more sense in the double sun's of tatooine
@@vinscocktails1864 then you are blind.
Genuinely the best Star Wars fan film I've seen. I don't even know why...it's just the tightest, most well produced one I've seen. Well played!
Extremely good. I would make a crack at the airplane in the background of one shot but that happened on the Mandalorian last season too. :P. Cad was especially well portrayed. I can't imagine how hard it must be to display any kind emotional bearing through that much facial prosthetic.
We actually added those spaceships in. Guess they should have been bigger to make it more obvious. XD
By the way she moved, I recognized Annalise first.
The photography and artwork were excellent. I enjoyed the script as well. Congratulations to your family and friends.
Blessings!
Glad you enjoyed it!
After taking a good look at the saber hilt itself, I looked up a curtain individual and I can indeed confirm, That is THE LIGHTSABER of who you think it belongs to.
master windu lol
Yo! THIS is what we needed for Cad Bane introduction. Much better costume design than whatever crap we were given from Disney. Bravo!
I enjoyed the film. Good job on capturing the spirit of Cad Bane, and the Jawa for that matter. This film came out couple weeks after Book of Bab, I would almost say the depiction of cad in both productions is damn near identical, well for 1 big difference. The big red eyes. Great film none the less I really enjoyed it
Turned out amazing! My kids loved it!! You guys did so great! Such a better Cad Bane then in the Book of Boba Fett!
The Cad Bane in Boba Fett is 71 and still looks good
now you're just speaking out your ass. How tf is this better than that one. Sure its alright but its not better than the other
@@theantianimeassociation7574 Other one is defeated because he was monologuing...lame.
Simple. Because the fans actually give two shits about Star Wars. Disney doesn't.
that is the orthodox statement online lately, but I can't help but notice instead of mentioning how good solo rogue 1 and boba fett were the point out commercial failure.
Disney don’t care about the legacy of the movies or the characters and fans , they have a big bill to pay.
This is fantastic! One of the best fan films ever. Cad Bane done right, and really convincing visuals. Wonderful work
This is 1000 times better than anything Disney has ever made! Feels like the old spirit of Star Wars. As a wounded fan by the Mouse, my deepest thanks and gratitude. Much love!
Excellent - one of few fan films that has great writing - on top of the production value - that really feels like Star Wars.
Woah... woah.. WOW WOW WOW ! GREAT Story, GREAT effects. Imagine them with a bigger budget Great work
Well, the budget was just a little over zero, so that would be great! XD
Such a character deserves more than cameo walk on walk off scenes..But this fan film has given bane what he deserves. His own series'staring role and story. Something Disney will never do for this badass character sadley :( I really hope you guys make a series out of this because I would be overjoyed to watch it :)

Okay.
Woah.
As a Star Wars fan seeking inspiration, I've seen a lot of fan films and breakdown videos on TH-cam. This? This falls among the best.
The sheer amount of dedication you guys put into the creation of this film is absolutely mind-blowing, and I am beyond excited to see where this may take you all. I've been watching your Behind the Scenes video as well, and seeing the effort and creativity that went into this is so inspirational and makes the film itself even better.
The CGI was impressing, the prosthetic Cad Bane mask was absolutely ASTOUNDING, and the costume design was simply masterful. I'm a costume designer myself, so that aspect was what had me fanboying the most (that and Cad Bane is my favorite Star Wars character, so...)
Anyway, I won't ramble too much. Y'all are going places. I will most certainly be coming back here to watch this again sometime.
Thanks, the film was fun to make.
The portrayal of Cad Bane is spot on even the vocal inflections.
Great achievement, had to watch twice after seeing the making of.
