th-cam.com/video/_dXfYnR-Y7E/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching. I have just as in depth of a video about the G923. I think the TrueForce adds something to the experience but not sure everyone will feel it's enough to justify the additional cost. But in the end the MSRP of the G923/G29 has been reduced to match what it's been going for at retail stores pre-covid. And they'll be offering both "tiers" of the wheel together for a while. So you have the choice of picking the G923 or saving cash and getting the previous gen.
Sorry that reply was meant for another comment. Yeah I think in terms of features for the price this gen wheel is great. At least now that the price has come down below $300. These launched back in 2015 and the industry has moved towards belt and direct drive wheels. Makes me wonder what Logitech will be going for next gen.

@@manav850 The logitech G923 is already out. I have a video on it on the channel. I also received one from logitech and will have an unboxing of it out soon. For $200 the G920 is a pretty good wheel. If you still have these wheels, Look at a product out of the UK that you can buy directly from them or Ebay. It has a pressure-sensitive mechanism and a linear potometer. The pressure-sensitive comes with four different parts that you put in place giving you different preload adjustments. talking to people in leagues I race they are a vast improvement on the stoke Logitech brake pedal and probably about 90% as good as an actual load cell brake pedal (which is what really matters as pedals go. I haven't noticed any severe input lag that I can attribute. Some titles have slightly more than others. ACC on console for example. And some ppl are way more sensitive to it than others. Noticed on the pedals you did both your left and your right foot when braking. Is that something to do with drifting? I was was taught to drive using my right foot for gas and for brake. The left foot was only ever used in a standard/manual transmission.
Left foot braking is used a lot in motorsport. Formula cars and many GT/LMP cars don't have or don't make use of a clutch paddle. Some have a clutch paddle on the wheel. I've found Sim Racing to be a great hobby to get into. But I've been into racing games for a long time. As I've gotten more into Motorsports I've found I want to experience more realistic driving experiences. If you can try it I definitely recommend doing so. Maybe find a store like Microcenter that has a Sim rig set up. Also if you have a friend with a while maybe you can borrow it or go to their place to try it out. Stay safe!
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but great video! By far the most detailed video that I have found. I'm thinking about getting a refurbished G29 for $180, and a new Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter to go with it (because it seems a lot nicer than the Logitech shifter,) the G29 and the TH8S should work fine together as long as I plug the shifter USB directly into my laptop, right?
Can confirm.the TH8S is nicer than the Logo shifter. It comes with an adapter to plug into a PC via USB. On PC you can mix and match as many individual peripherals as you like as long as they can act as a standalone USB device. Each will appear as a separate game controller and you'll be able to map them to whatever you wish in the game/Sim. Thanks for watching! Happy racing!
Is budget a concern? If you really want to go with Logitech and price isn't a problem I'd say get the G923. But if you can find the G920 for substantially cheaper and the features of the G923 don't appeal too much the G920 is still a good wheel. I put out a video on the G923 and some of the features. I've also been sent a G923 from Logitech and will have an unboxing and impressions for it soon. The main other competitor is the TMX Pro for Xbox/PC. And the T 150 Pro and 300 RS for PS4/PC If you have any specific questions. Cheers
Going to pickup my wheel so I decided to watch this. Edit: Nice video, learned alot while setting up, I'm new to sim racing starting with Forza Horizon 4, I got this wheel so I don't beat my car lol. Will definitely get a shifter soon
I recently did a video on the entire Thrustmaster Ecosystem including the T300 wheel base. Could be worth checking out. It's also a very detailed video
I play a lot of ATS. I need to map peddles to the wheel since I am not able to move my feet. I currently use a ps4 controller to play ATS. Of the two wheels, which would you recommend for that? (Holding the button down like you would the Trigger Buttons on a controller.) I also have limited space./funds I think you did an amazing in-depth review. Thank you.
Linear means that for every X millimeters of brake you push in you get Y % brake force increase. All the way through the pedal stroke. Because the G29/G920 has the rubber stopper it becomes harder to push in (trying to emulate a real brake). So after a while you push in X mm and you get 2*Y % brake force. Those aren't the real numbers but I hope it gets the point across.

Great review man, lots of details and different clips to see. Thumbs up.
Thank you for watching. I'm almost done editing my G923 Video! It'll hopefully be out within the next week!
@@BallisticTech Nice bro. I’m in the market for a first time setup. Are you doing a Fanatec CSL review?
@@BloodShedda If I can get my hands on one I'll definitely do a video on it. I Borrowed a TM TX from a friend so I'm gonna do a bit of content around that.
Is it wierd that i've always hated racing games but I really want to try a driving sim with a wheel? I do enjoy real life driving so maybe thats why
Stay safe!
@@BallisticTech I'm very happy I just bought a G920 for 89 euro now to try Beamng and Assetto Corza!
@@BallisticTech Awesome, thanks! I was a little confused about how all the different peripherals would coexist, thanks for clearing that up!

bro i noticed like 10 of them lmaoo
Love the lando radio edit
Cheers! Thanks for watching!
Is this still what you recommend near the end of 2021?
Great review video. Thanks.
Cheers. Thanks for watching!
If you're more comfortable with ps4 controls then get the g29. If you're more comfortable with xbox controls then the g920.
Can I use the G920 with ThrustMaster TH8A shifter?
Oh PC yes. On console it would require something like the DriveHub or Chronus
@@BallisticTech thanks for your help... yeah.. for PC indeed. Cheers
@@aliasangelalias TH8A should have a usb adapter that is plug and play on PC. Just have to map it in game.
I love how u got f1 in the try not to laugh(f1 is my favourite sport)
I just bought G920. Do I need driving force shifter? Or I can adjust it from the steering wheel?
I have a g920 & love it !
Im going to be using it on PC. Should I buy the g920 or the g29?
Wow you put a lot of effort into this video. Wow.
I definitely try. Thank you for watching. I hope you found it informative.
@@BallisticTech yes I did find it informative. I’m gonna get a g920 for Christmas
I'm getting this for my birthday! :)
So wait. Should I plug this into my pc and update the onboard firmware before plugging it into my ps5?
I think it'll probably work with the drivers on the wheel. But could be worth it just to check. You'll have to download either G-Hub or LGS
What is your opinion, should I go for the g920 or the g923.
And the T 150 Pro and 300 RS for PS4/PC
If you have any specific questions.
Cheers
if that's the case you could probably put a rubber stopper in the clutch pedal to replicate the feel 12:10
Going to pickup my wheel so I decided to watch this.
Edit: Nice video, learned alot while setting up, I'm new to sim racing starting with Forza Horizon 4, I got this wheel so I don't beat my car lol. Will definitely get a shifter soon
Thanks for watching. Glad you found it informative. Keep racing. Youll learn more and more and keep getting better
How long is the warranty? I'm just concerned of the wheel motor breaking or some mechanical issues happening as said from some reviews
Is there a version of Logitech’s G29 wheel and pedals that will work with Apple’s MacBook Pro or Air? Thanks
no but not worth it anyway as there are barely any game that work with Mac's anyway just convert it to windows
Very informative video 👍🏻
Amazing review, thank you!
thank you for this review im looking at the thrustmaster t300 rs or the g29 and im kinda torn between them but after this i might buy the logitech
I recently did a video on the entire Thrustmaster Ecosystem including the T300 wheel base. Could be worth checking out. It's also a very detailed video
Does it spin back, like will It feed through my hands while turning a corner quickly, (like a real car)(and will it be dependent on speed/angle too)
Have u figured out if it does ?
@@Luis-ic3bm nooe
@@piercepromotions6642 dang did u get it?
Does the shifting feel really clicky and fake? Or does it feel smooth and realistic
Good and detailed video
Cheers. Thanks for watching
I play a lot of ATS. I need to map peddles to the wheel since I am not able to move my feet. I currently use a ps4 controller to play ATS. Of the two wheels, which would you recommend for that? (Holding the button down like you would the Trigger Buttons on a controller.)
I also have limited space./funds
I think you did an amazing in-depth review. Thank you.
What does nonlinear brake mean? I want to get one of these wheels for Christmas
@@BallisticTech yes it did, thank you!
Hey. Great vid.
Do you recommend any decent wheels that work on Xbox 360?
Im buying it ty for the detailed review i now know everything
When ever I move my G920 wheel. I can here a sound like the wheel is loose. Is this normal?
