Hey pals! I've had a lot of fun using this setup for the last year or so, but the time has finally come to say goodbye to the G29. I just posted a follow up video comparing the Logitech G Pro Wheel and the brand new Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Extreme - check it out here: th-cam.com/video/eKk_14EyOiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bGUFPbF0_4gNxU40
I'm glad I came across your video. I'm a retired Army veteran who lost my left leg in a training accident right after Desert Storm and my right leg is paralyzed. I love racing but doing it with a joystick sucks. I need something cheap that I can hook up my hand controls from my car (Gas & brake with left hand, steer with my right) and this setup looks perfect. Cheers!
Thanks for you service!!!! Use a fanatec with a mclaren gt3 wheel v2 you can brake and acelarate with your hands sometimes i get tired to acelaration with my legs and use it... you need to try it i use it with a playseat challenger a gt dd pro 8nm and the pedals v3 you can either brake with one leg or acelarate... good change for you and hope see you in gt7 ps5 or acc competizione
You are an amazing individual I wish nothing but many blessings for you and your family I hope you’ve found the right set up for yourself definitely give us an update ! 😁
You can adjust the amount of force from the wheel in controller settings in Gran turismo. It is only set at 50% by default so the g29 can give a surprising amount more force than before. I was considering changing my wheel too before I found my wheel was delivering half the force it could.
There is a reason it's set at 50% if you set ffb to over 4 out of 10 you loose all road feeling on the g29 as it can't handle the harsh vibrations and washes all feeling out. Try setting it to 3 or 4 and turn sensitivity up to 8 or 9.
Suffer from VR motion sickness too, and recently got a tip that helped massively. Once you start feeling sick, it's too late, the key is to stop before you start feeling sick. Do 5, 10, 15 minute stints, whatever it is you can manage without feeling sick, and then stop. This supposedly allows your brain to experience VR without becoming sick, and allows you to adapt. Seems to be working for me, starting to be able to go a lot longer in VR without feeling sick.
Absolutely this. If you try and push through your brain will associate it all as a bad experience and make you want to avoid it in the future. I struggled my first week on the Quest 2 when we got it but after that it was fine. Starting with static games (beat saber etc) will help too, don’t jump right into a racing sim to get use to VR lol
The trick is not stopping. You have to get used to it. Once you are used to it you can drive for hours. 4 hours in VR racing are not uncommon for me. Racing in VR is also less hard then a shooter because less is moving. And yes once you drive in VR you don't go back. The elevation differences you can see in VR you don't get on screens. My first time on the Redbull Ring ... A totally different experience.
@@MrBeeeJay that may have worked for you but I think you’re in a very small minority of people. You clearly didn’t get to a bad enough point where you just couldn’t play anymore. Usually due to having to actually throw up. The majority of people absolutely should take it off for at least a few minutes whenever they start feeling uneasy
In the beginning the breaking made me sick cause my brain expected some g-force... But if you keep in mind you wont experience g-force that definitely helped a lot, now i race for hours without any sickness
For PSVR2, I got bad motion sickness the first time I used it. So the next time that I tried it out I made sure to take my time during the setup process and also ensure that I had it properly on my head. There’s a sweet spot where everything is in focus, finding this spot resolved my issue. The blurred vision was causing my motion sickness. Now I use it daily with no issues and how immersive it is is truly insane.
I also had issues with motion sickness. Getting the perfect fit is worth the effort. Every time I put on the VR, I hit the PS button twice to go into the quick menu and adjust my pupil distance setting. This helped a bit, but the only thing that really helps is practice. I used to only be able to tolerate 5 minutes, but after playing daily, I'm able to handle hours at a time. It's worth the patience to experience to immersion. Thanks for the great video. I'll be purchasing this in the future.
The motion sickness goes away, having fan blowing gob you is the key to the best experience. I cant even play gt7 without the psvr2 now, it's just not the same
Some have it worse then others.. and some hardly ever experience it. I am lucky I can play any type of game, (racing, flying, fps) no problems and play for hours and hours till the Sence controllers needs a recharge. Just eat something before, a fan might help.
1. I appreciate your minimalist taste for your interior decorating. 2. I have an Meta Quest 2 and I overcame my motion sickness by playing Rec Room. I took it slow with the movements and positioned my body to maintain balance and anticipate “movement” without my actual body moving. Sort of like a forward lunge position. It worked like a charm. No VR motion sickness at all anymore.
I borrowed an Oculus Rift and it actually improved my driving in Dirt 2.0. But it was a borrowed unit, which means I had to eventually give it back. After spending $10,000 CND on my triple screen PC Sim setup, I didn't want to go over board on a VR I would probably seldom use. So I got a used Acer Windows mixed reality for $50 CND. In all the use I have had between the Rift and the Acer, I have only had one dizzy experience in each. The Rift was probably due to lack of sleep, the Acer was spinning out and rolling backwards in a go-kart in Kart Kraft. Other than that, even though neither were very heavy units, just having them on your head for a long enough stretch does start making you feel pressure on your head. I normally can't race any longer than 2-3 hours max.
I bought an Audi leather seat at the junkyard and built up a base for it, the wheel and pedals. As an added bonus the seat was fully adjustable so was completely powered for multiple drivers. I think the seat cost a hundred bucks and the base another 50. Some other miscellaneous costs (like a 12v supply for the seat and casters for the chair) and I might have been in for $225 (plus the wheel which was more than that). Was a pretty awesome setup though compared to commercial chairs.
I like how clean you setup looks. As far as VR motion sickness goes I used to get bad motion sickness after a half hour with older VR systems I went to my friends house to try his PSVR2 out and I felt perfectly fine for the twoish hours I played didn't feel queezy once
I use Fanatec DD Pro 8mm, tried almost every other wheel on the market and this one gives you the best bang for a buck, and has the best ecosystem and support.
Great video, for the motion sickness try this out, place a fan in front of you in a way that your face receives a good amount of "wind" makes a world of difference. I guess it kinds of bridge a little of the gap of visual movement and body perception of movement.
VR Tips. The only real way to get over VR sickness it to use it enough to get "VR legs." I used to get VR motion sickness, but not anymore. I suggest easing into it over the course of 2 weeks or so. Start with a short, 5-10 min session and up the time each day as you get more comfortable. After a few weeks of use, assuming you stick with it, the motion sickness should be completely gone. I also suggest starting with games and experiences that are less intense at first. An example of this would be beat saber. Eventually you can move up to fast motion games with no problems.
I just bought PSVR2 for GT7 and it is worth every penny. I’m also prone to motion sickness and I’ve never felt queasy while playing. The only time I’ve felt slightly uncomfortable is during a spin out or if I push too hard into the barrier
Have you tried travel sickness pills? I had the PSVR1 and most games made me instantly want to throw up. Others like beat saber were fine. I used the pills for the first VR and it made things better. Psvr2 is better due to being in higher def, but I still can’t manage more than 5 - 10 mins without starting to feel it again in racing games. Thats a huge improvement on 10 seconds the first time round. Haven’t yet tried the travel sickness pills with PSVR2, but I’m going to give them another go!
I had MAJOR motion sickness when I first started VR. You just have to keep at it and build your tolerance, now it doesn't matter what I play. No sickness at all.
Thanks for the info. A fan blowing in your direction can help with motion sickness, plus playing little and often helps build your immunity. It got me a few times at the start but absolutely love the vr2, it's the way forward
Rocked into the video thinking I’d missed a major channel, but it’s 56k subs. SUPER pro content. Loved the tone, video work, style, dialogue, pace…. Perfection mate. I rarely get instantly impressed. Well done. Thank you 👍🏼
VR motion sickness is something everyone has to deal with, some have it worse than others. But it is not persistent, you get over it. They key is to take your time, because it does get better. Best advise I had and used, was take it slow, play until you feel sick, take a break and continue later. Do this consistently for a week or two, and you're over it. It took me around a week to get used to it myself. Now after a year I can literally play for 4 hours straight, do the most gut wrenching stuff and not feel a thing.
@@JorgePowell Remember to never do VR on an empty stomach as well. You get used to VR over time. Here's also a weird tip: turn down the brightness of your VR headset to the lowest. This makes the motion-blur when turning your head fast disappear, and that can help greatly with motion sickness. The HDR introduces quite a bit of ghosting on this headset due to how HDR is implemented. Lowering the brightness lessens that in a huge way.
VR Legs! PSVR2 was also my first experience with VR and the first few times I couldn't last more than 20 mins. Now I can keep it on longer sessions. Also the great thing about GT7, I got the usage/sweet spot right so I actually take it off between races which helps eyes take a break too.
One other site recommended using the Sony Pulse headphones to provide a better fit - finding the sweetspot more quickly. I was HIGHLY sceptical, but it actually works. Almost instantly I find the sweetspot now.
Motion sickness from VR can come from lag. If you experience even the slightest stutter when moving your head, or have a couple of frames drop while moving around, it can throw your equilibrium off. Most start to experience discomfort when below 120 frames per second. The lower you dip, the worse. I had a game freeze once while I was running around and it took all my willpower to get the Index off without throwing up.
Ps5 controllers are 6-axis motion sensing steering wheels, compatible with GT7. While not as good as the wheel, it’s good enough, and with the haptic feedback, it’s not bad. Not bad at all.
Thanks for this terrific guide as we enter Sim racing! One possible solution to your motion sickness challenge is one we use when fishing offshore: Wear a "baseball" style hat. The extended rim creates a level "false horizon" that stabilizes one's balance and seems to help prevent motion sickness and vertigo. Give it a try! And thanks again for sharing such excellent guidance!!!!
Got the same rig as you arriving in the next few days. Just bite the bullet with vr you will soon get over the motion sickness and GT might surprise you as a lot of people who suffer motion sickness in some games get none with gran turismo. Seriously it's a game changer and once hooked you will never go back, it's better than real life.
For VR I get motion sickness in “regular” VR games and can only play in short bursts. However GT7 VR is different - after a short initial break-in, I don’t feel any motion effect and can literally play for hours. I think it’s due to the more natural brain-eye-motion we get used to when driving a car in real life. PSVR2 is transformative for GT7
PSVR2 with GT7 makes a massive difference when compared to a TV. GT7 will have the least motion sickness effect, especially when compared to games where you are walking around. That is my experience. Basically you have got to try it with GT7, you won't want to go back to flat!
As someone who often gets sick from VR, GT7 specifically is surprisingly easy on my stomach. I think having the interior around your field of view helps you feel anchored
If you're serious about racing and have the money: You need DOF H3 or P3 (this motion rig will remove motion sickness in VR) You need dd1 or dd2 to simulate real racing wheel w/ great force feedback You need a better headset than PS5 (get Pimax Crystal or 12K) You need motion compensation software when you're in VR (easy done) You need a powerful PC to run games to get at least 90fps to remove motion sickness You need to play Automobilista 2 (BEST VR racing game in the market) Total cost: Maybe around $10,000
I can recommend Fanatec CSL DD (8nm version). I have that on the playseat trophy and it’s amazing. I use the McLaren GT3 wheel and csl pedals with load cell break. Been so much fun playing F1 22
I am just into sim racing and I enjoyed playing GT7. I got severe motion sickness using PSVR2. Playing it in the lounge with the big screen is my only choice. I have no idea where to start and I found this video! Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff👍🏼 I recommend Fanatec DD pro 8nm with your wheel of choice. Honestly, who the hell needs 20nm when this will hurt you when you get hit by another car with in game settings at 4 and wheel settings at only 45-55 dependant on the car. Pick the right wheel and your sorted for PC, Xbox and PS4/5. Too many others are geared to PC with add on options to make it viable with PS. May not of heard of them but I have a Simhound rig and love it. Half the size aluminium frame as lots of others but more sturdy than you would imagine.
Motion sickness: Every game except racing sims has done this to me. To get over it elsewhere, I just had to use it more. In early days even used pills for reducing motion sickness. Also ginger can help. LED lights: Can't recommend Govee enough. Their software is some of the best, if not the best, and it has a little camera you put on top of TV, and it matches the back LED colors with what's on the tv perfectly.
I always felt sick playing VR in 30FPS - The VR2 is 60FPS and I have not felt sick a single time! I was bummed for a long time because I thought it was me and not the FPS - Now I use it weekly! Im guessing you have upgraded both wheel and to VR2! If you haven’t, go buy right now
This js the angle all sim seats should be at tbh. Helps with gravity. Takes strain off of your back etc. Also easier on the legs/feet. Def not a budget seat though at 5 to 600 dollars.
First with PSV2, I cannot even drive more than 1 minutes. Later I drove a convertible in an oval track slowly. After a week or so, now I can racing in PSVR2 for hours. Sometimes still have trouble with road cars with soft suspensions. No issue with Gr.3 Gr.4 or cars that doesn't float.
Putting your PS5 in the cabinet with a fan is BRILLIANT! 👏👏 I've always wanted to do this but I'm scared I'll ruin my Cabinet so I must give it to a professional but can someone send me the actual fan itself that will cool the PS5? Thanks!
I have exactly the same setup, including the psvr2. First time I couldn't play longer than 3 minutes because of motion sickness. Now I'm playing for hours without getting sick. Turn down the brightness as far as possible and take the glasses of after every race, than select a new race without looking 'through the glasses' You are really missing something without the psvr2 👍
Thanks for your review on setting up a Rig platform for doing Racing games. I have been doing racing games on my PC for years now and racing against other online drivers but yet to invest into getting a Rig Platform. May get one in the future. I also use VR all the time and I do not get sick using the device. Too bad you can't do VR, it is amazing and is very hard to go back to the Flat Display screen. Good luck in your setup and racing. Take care.
Go for the Fanatec Ready2Race BMW bundle as it´s on sale and available right now! I got mine a few days ago plus the same Playseat Trophy. Coming from the G29 too i say: absolutely amazing. I love it! No comparison!
have a floor mat so you have a way to ground and center yourself have a fan blowing on you so you have a sense of direction start off with vr games with minimal movement, i recommended beatsaber or something like it and just do small sessions everyday, maybe lasting a little longer each time.
The key to overcoming motion sickness is starting off small and PLAYING REGULARLY. When i first started vr it took a month before i could play anything serious, now after playing vr for over 3 years i can play anything with no sickness
I had vr sickness very badly when I first started. The trick is not to give up. Do short sessions at VERY SLOW speeds. You want your brain to get used to the fact that it’s being tricked, which it will do eventually. It took me about a week of 5-10 min sessions at slow speeds to get rid of my vr sickness. Once you do you won’t go back to a single screen I promise! also try other vr games with motion in short sessions. if you have a meta vr headset play a game called elixir. It childish but it’s has slight motion that helped me get used to it. I also played pavlovs shack it’s a shooter, those two games were a big help in helping me get over vr sickness.
I have a psvr2 and the first I used it. I got motion sickness after some time but when I kept using it I got use to it but if I stop using it for some time I get motion sickness again and also you need breaks in between if using more than an hour or so. It’s important to ad that I get motion sickness when I play 1st person shooters for some time. Everyone is different and react differently to any kind of gaming so I suggest if you want a psvr2 to buy it through Amazon or some place where you can tested out and be able to return it if you want before 30 days good luck and God bless
I have almost the same sim setup it's pretty cool and I enjoy it allot I might upgrade to a moza or cammus setup in the future but live my Logitech wheel and shifter setup
If your first VR experience is a driving sim you're practically garanteeing motion sickness. VR motionsickness occurs when there is a disconnect between how the world around you is moving vs. how your body is moving, and your brain gets confused (I'm sure there's a much more technical explanation but that will do). In a nutshell you need to train your brain and body to be able to handle VR without motion sickness. The best way to do that is to 1) start slow, and 2) whenever you start to feel sick, get out immediately and take a break. This is what a lot of people do wrong, they try to push through it and just get sicker and sicker. When you do that you are actually doing the exact opposite of what you want, you're training your body to get sick in VR. Now by starting slow I don't mean driving slow. I mean starting with something that has more of a 1-1 corolation between how your body is moving vs. how the world is moving. Something like Beat Saber is an excellent choice. Golf+ or Eleven Table Tennis are also great choices. Anything where your body is moving naturally in the VR world. If you can do that you can then move up to something where you're moving around more in the world, like a military sim such as Pavlov or Zero Caliber. Start off with teleporting and snap turns, and progress toward smooth motion and turning. Once you can walk around in VR without feeling sick you're ready to try some driving. THEN start off driving slow lol. Almost everyone can develop VR legs and kick the motion sickness problem, but it does take some patience. Oh yeah, some additional feedback from the outside world might help too, like a fan blowing on you or something. That's only an additional possibly helpful measure though, you still need to start small and work your way up to driving in VR. Good luck!
start with less demanding vr games with less motion, then u gain "vr legs" over time. cant speak for everyone but i know thats consensus for a lot of people. i dont even like racing sims but cant get enough gt7 in vr, its so effin good man. also use fans when u are playing, they help a lot too. and if u feel motion sickness stop and regroup and go again later, it only gets worse if u force it. also i know gt7 runs a lot smoother then some older games like drive club did back on the original psvr, i remember feeling sick as hell when i tried that years back. ive had a lot of non vr playing friends try out gt7 and was shocked that they didnt get sick.
Thanks for the video. It's probably not aimed at people like me who already have rigs but I enjoyed it nonetheless. On the topic of VR, I bought PVR2 purely for GT7 (I haven't played a single other game with it). First few times I used it I felt weird after about 15 minutes and had to take a break. But a few weeks ago we had to temporarily rearrange our living room and I couldn't use the rig in front of the projector screen where I usually play. The only way I could play was in a different part of the room on the VR. After about a week of playing GT7 every night solely in VR, I wasnt getting any notion sickness or weird feelings whatsoever. And now it's my default way to play GT7. So it may just be a case of easing yourself into it and you eventually break the back of it.
Glad you enjoyed mate, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Definitely seems to be the case that more time in VR can help reduce the effects of motion sickness, sounds like I need to jump back in and give it another go
I used to love Gran Turismo and I had a racing wheel setup, expensive and everything, big TV. But it got me addicted to the feeling of racing cars. I ended up selling my perfectly reasonable Camry and buying a 200+hp V6 Volkswagen which I totally didn't need. Was like $330/mo PLUS insurance. And all I had was a part time job because I was still in school. They never should have even approved me on the loan. Got laid off from my job and let the car go.
My recommendation: T-GT2 with t-lcm on a next-level rigg, mounted on a big worden Board with 4 wheels to move it in any room I want. Take wheels with brakes, so the rigg doesn't move when ffb is punching in. Brg, rellik
If you have a fan in one place it helo with vr as it tells your body what way you are in real life also setting make a huge difference adding small amount of tunnel vision may help you aswell
For VR sickness you should try playing VR games where you only move when you move in real life, for example SuperHot VR. This will let you get used to VR, then you can jump into racing games. If you are not used to VR and you jump into games where you move in-game but are still in real-life you it will be overwhelming and you will get sick. Get used to VR first and then race.
Yooo just saw this video! love the coverage great explanation! For motion sickness wwithin VR try putting a fan in front of you while sitting in a swivel chair it helps keeps you pointed in the right direction. It definitely helped me out when I would get motion sickness
Slowly build up your VR tolerance. This worked for me. Start by driving forward slowly, up to 5min or less. If you begin to feel sick at all. Stop. Come back later and try again. Before long I began to feel fine in those shorter bursts. I then was able to incrementally increase car speed and session duration. To where I can now do a whole longer play session without feeling sick. It took a couple weeks or so to get there. But I do think it’s worth the time and effort. VR sim racing is such a game changer. I race better with it.
i am a bigger buy too and I have been wanting a better chair, i'll look into this. i also had motion sickness issues, i started real slow. picked a car that was convertible (i think i used a BAC?) and went to a track that was pretty flat (le mans?) and would spend about 5 minutes just driving fairly slow to get a feel for things until i felt the very beginnings of being disoriented and then i took it off. within a week i was able to complete a lap, within two weeks i was doing short races. within a month i was racing anything 15 minutes at a time. eventually i got into over 30 minute sessions. just have to find your body's pace and extend it at a rate that works for you
To get past motion sickness, you only need to limit game play, then increase it up gradually. Then allows your brain to adjust and you won't get motion sickness again... Gotta start with the baby steps.. No matter how much fun ya having. Obey the time limit you set and then take a break. It took me about an hour of this process to retrain my brain, and I'm now able to play Skyrim for hours.. I started off not being able to play for 5 minutes.
Damn that racing seat is beautiful! Great vid man, you have a beautiful home too! p.s regarding motion sickness I used to get it in VR and I can honestly say practice makes it better. The more you use VR, the more you get your 'sea legs'.
I've used VR. And it is awesome. Unfortunately I'm one of the few people that gets motion sickness with it really quickly. Regardless of the image quality and frame smoothness, I'm reaching for a bucket inside 5 minutes. Well, I thought I was alone in that. Turns out I have a few friends who have the same issue. So before buying VR I would suggest anyone try it out first. Try out the best quality one you can afford as some people find that the higher quality ones do make a difference. Smoother frames, better all round vision etc can move some people from the "feeling sick" to "I'm fine with it" category. But not all people. VR is still a travel sickness inducer for a fair number of people - even the best and smoothest set-ups
Buying the logitech g920,g29, or g923 brand new is a buy purchase now. There are at least 3 direct drive wheel companies that offer direct drive wheel intro options at the same price point as the inferior logitech wheels. All come with much better upgrade options for the future and have far better feel from the motor.
Regarding motion sickness, you've just gotta stick with it. Game for short intervals and gradually increase the time you play. You'll soon get your VR legs
Hey pals! I've had a lot of fun using this setup for the last year or so, but the time has finally come to say goodbye to the G29. I was considering changing my wheel too before I found my wheel was delivering half the force it could.
So are you talking about more feedback support from the road and car or the car will respond to you turning the wheel?
There is a reason it's set at 50% if you set ffb to over 4 out of 10 you loose all road feeling on the g29 as it can't handle the harsh vibrations and washes all feeling out. Try setting it to 3 or 4 and turn sensitivity up to 8 or 9.

What is the name of this machine? And how much can it cost?
I like how clean you setup looks. As far as VR motion sickness goes I used to get bad motion sickness after a half hour with older VR systems I went to my friends house to try his PSVR2 out and I felt perfectly fine for the twoish hours I played didn't feel queezy once
I use Fanatec DD Pro 8mm, tried almost every other wheel on the market and this one gives you the best bang for a buck, and has the best ecosystem and support.
i agree it feels amazing
Maaaan your talking head shot looks so clean! 👌🏼 your whole setup and editing is so damn clean.
Great video, for the motion sickness try this out, place a fan in front of you in a way that your face receives a good amount of "wind" makes a world of difference. I guess it kinds of bridge a little of the gap of visual movement and body perception of movement.
This was one of the best, most honest, naturally delivered, and compelling "talking head" tech videos I've seen in a long time. Keep up the good work!
Haha I didn’t even get close to crashing I was feeling so bad - hopefully I can figure it out eventually 😮💨
@@JorgePowelluse a pedestal fan to blow air onto your face. Worked for me.
What a wusss
Use a fan when rocking VR pointed at you. Will help with any bad feelings
Will def try this next time!
Just got the whole setup on amazon. Thanks for the vid!
What set up do you use please ? Beside the mask psvr2 itself . Thks
At this point I’m on controller with the VR2 - but will be putting together a similar rig as in the video soon
This is such a great video in the context of current direction "helpful" videos have gone on TH-cam. THANK YOU
PSVR2 with GT7 makes a massive difference when compared to a TV.
If you're serious about racing and have the money:
You need DOF H3 or P3 (this motion rig will remove motion sickness in VR)
You need dd1 or dd2 to simulate real racing wheel w/ great force feedback
You need a better headset than PS5 (get Pimax Crystal or 12K)
You need motion compensation software when you're in VR (easy done)
You need a powerful PC to run games to get at least 90fps to remove motion sickness
You need to play Automobilista 2 (BEST VR racing game in the market)
Total cost: Maybe around $10,000
I can recommend Fanatec CSL DD (8nm version). I have that on the playseat trophy and it’s amazing. I use the McLaren GT3 wheel and csl pedals with load cell break. Been so much fun playing F1 22
100% going to pick up F1 23 when it comes out, I’ll check out the GT3 wheel - thanks for the advice!
CSL DD is Xbox, PC only
I watched the whole video thoroughly impressed, under the impression it’s budget friendly, to my shock, the chair alone is $1,000 Aud!!!!!!
What sort of price point would you consider budget friendly?
7:54 - i actually use the clutch pedal as my break pedal since it felt really awkward to break with my legs so close together
Half the size aluminium frame as lots of others but more sturdy than you would imagine.
no point of buying fanatec for arcade games like gt
@@sebastianslapekgt7 isn’t a strictly arcade game.
@@MarkNOTW it is actually
@@sebastianslapek it actually isn’t. It’s actually categorized as a sim-cade.
0:36 the nostalgia
I'm going to get me one.. thank you for showing it.. keep up the good work
Motion sickness is a phase I had to overcome, in order to enjoy gran turismo in VR. Your mind “adjusts” to it, in time.
Great video. Love the editing and quality. You’re inspiring man!
My guy - you will NOT regret getting a dd pro. Game changer you will love it
It’s definitely on the shortlist!
GT7 on PSVR2 is indescribably mind-blowing. The PSVR2 is so sophisticated that there's comfort settings for everyone
The PSVR2 is a game changer with this game. Feels so real
I've always wanted to do this but I'm scared I'll ruin my Cabinet so I must give it to a professional but can someone send me the actual fan itself that will cool the PS5?
Thanks!
There’s a whole video on my channel that explains the process - wasn’t the cleanest job but if I can do it then literally anyone can 😂
@@JorgePowell 👌👌Thanks mate, I'll go look into that! :D
Very nice clean and professional presentation. I can see that you're a fastidious chap. Nice longe room too.
Also gt7 in the psvr2 is a game changer and you won’t want to go back to regular gt7 👊
Get the G Pro. Upgraded from your current wheel and I don’t regret it at all!
It’s definitely on the shortlist! Was there much of a muscle memory adjustment after switching?
Dry nice setup. Looks really clean and tidy.
Thanks pal! I've really been enjoying the space recently
I have exactly the same setup, including the psvr2. First time I couldn't play longer than 3 minutes because of motion sickness. Now I'm playing for hours without getting sick.
Turn down the brightness as far as possible and take the glasses of after every race, than select a new race without looking 'through the glasses'
You are really missing something without the psvr2 👍
Bro never knew that chair existed wow !!! I gotta have this Xmas 🎄 🙌🏽
That chair/cockpit looks clean
I have the same cockpit but the Fanatec CSL DD GT Pro with the Mclaren GT3 wheel and Fanatec V3 pedals. Definitely the best setup ive ever had!
have a floor mat so you have a way to ground and center yourself
have a fan blowing on you so you have a sense of direction
start off with vr games with minimal movement, i recommended beatsaber or something like it
and just do small sessions everyday, maybe lasting a little longer each time.
What an exellent gentleman’s review. Thanks for the video effort.
A chill video dude 👍
Nothing about this screams budget. 😂
Im sorry for your opinion
@@ChrisSprenger. Cry. ☺️

Great video mate! I'm surprised you only have 15K subs. Great production and informative. Love it
Me too…very surprised as well
Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words! Just focusing on trying to make good videos for now, hopefully the numbers will follow soon 🫡
Such a clean setup! I hope to get this setup one day to use in the off season and save abuse on my car😅
I’m using VR2…..fricken awesome!!
Really nice setup dude! Enjoy
Start flying FPV, will cure all motion sickness 😂😂 class vid my dude
I'm glad your setup is perfect for you. I finally got my pc to that point for sim racing minus a few unnecessary but necessary items I still need.
It works for now but I'm definitely looking forward to upgrading my wheel & pedals!
@@JorgePowell I went direct drive and cannot believe how much better it is.
Good luck!
Good stuff, get some racing shoes and sparco gloves to further enhance the racing experience.
So sick 🤯 clean settup 👌✨
start with less demanding vr games with less motion, then u gain "vr legs" over time. cant speak for everyone but i know thats consensus for a lot of people. i dont even like racing sims but cant get enough gt7 in vr, its so effin good man. also use fans when u are playing, they help a lot too. and if u feel motion sickness stop and regroup and go again later, it only gets worse if u force it. also i know gt7 runs a lot smoother then some older games like drive club did back on the original psvr, i remember feeling sick as hell when i tried that years back. ive had a lot of non vr playing friends try out gt7 and was shocked that they didnt get sick.
Haha VR legs is a good analogy, I def need to spend some time working up to it. Thanks for the reply - I'll keep all this in mind!
The PlaySeat Trophy is an awesome rig.
My recommendation: T-GT2 with t-lcm on a next-level rigg, mounted on a big worden Board with 4 wheels to move it in any room I want. Take wheels with brakes, so the rigg doesn't move when ffb is punching in. Brg, rellik
I got Playseat activefit, thrustmaster 300 gt and Psvr2, I can play on this 2-3hrs in one session, no sickness, head and neck gets tired
If you have a fan in one place it helo with vr as it tells your body what way you are in real life also setting make a huge difference adding small amount of tunnel vision may help you aswell
I second this. A fan definitely helps some people with motion sickness in VR.
Thank you, Jorge, for the great, instructive racing sim video...Well done!
Of course! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment 🙌🏼
This is a phenomenal video
For VR sickness you should try playing VR games where you only move when you move in real life, for example SuperHot VR. This will let you get used to VR, then you can jump into racing games. If you are not used to VR and you jump into games where you move in-game but are still in real-life you it will be overwhelming and you will get sick. Get used to VR first and then race.
Yooo just saw this video! love the coverage great explanation! For motion sickness wwithin VR try putting a fan in front of you while sitting in a swivel chair it helps keeps you pointed in the right direction. It definitely helped me out when I would get motion sickness
The Vr thing is just something you have to get used to I was like that too that I couldn’t play but now after a while I am playing it everyday
Start in a convertible car in PSVR2. Bac Mono, KTM, Mazda MX-5. Play in short bursts. I couldn't handle it at fist. I can go for hours now.
I have the same seat with the logitech pro wheel and pedals, GT7 in Vr on a DD wheel is another world, i would realy advise the Logitech Pro
That’s a wicked setup, if I didn’t have such a hard time with VR then I would love to try it properly
In my experience I would get a direct drive wheel they are more affordable than ever and worth the money the experience is miles better
i am a bigger buy too and I have been wanting a better chair, i'll look into this.
i also had motion sickness issues, i started real slow. picked a car that was convertible (i think i used a BAC?) and went to a track that was pretty flat (le mans?) and would spend about 5 minutes just driving fairly slow to get a feel for things until i felt the very beginnings of being disoriented and then i took it off. within a week i was able to complete a lap, within two weeks i was doing short races. within a month i was racing anything 15 minutes at a time. eventually i got into over 30 minute sessions.
just have to find your body's pace and extend it at a rate that works for you
To get past motion sickness, you only need to limit game play, then increase it up gradually.
All come with much better upgrade options for the future and have far better feel from the motor.
pretty cool setup mate!! i just got my g920!
Great video. This was extremely helpful for someone who’s considering building a sim.
Thanks dude! Def need to start seeing you on the track 👀
Regarding motion sickness, you've just gotta stick with it.
Game for short intervals and gradually increase the time you play.
You'll soon get your VR legs
