Yeah, agreed. It was incredibe writing...Rewatching some of her clips on YT there were hints of her assinating anyone in her way. I mean, if her army was slaughtered, her "daddy" died for her, she lost 3 babies, treason was committed all around by her "loyal" subjects and how she was about to lose the throne. Tyrion should have been executed as well a long time ago. She wouldn't even eat the food he tried to eat her. I mean, if they kept her army dead she and her dragon would still be more force than Cersei had. The second dragon dying was pure shock entertainment and it would have been better if that one survived as well, so after (or better yet, during) the battle with Cersei we could have gotten a dragon standoff between Jon and Darys and boom, you have your SONG Of ICe AnD fiRe. Even let Arya shoot some of the arrows at Drogon instead of "Jon, this woman is evil kthxbai." Both Jon and Dany started "good" and would be and burning up an entire city for their claim of the throne or Jon maybe trying to stop her without his own casualties. The ending would have made a little more sense. Except for Yara pleading for Daenarys 🤦‍♂️
It took me 3 minutes to alter a few scenes that would work behind the scenes as well. They really did this show dirty. I guess they kinda forgot about their reputation and the retaliation of the fans.
But ya'll FOMO f#ers went ahead and watched House of Dragons anyway even if it was even more stupid than the last two seasons of GoT. They got their viewing numbers. 1 billion idiots for the finale who only confirmed the experiment of getting paid big time with branching out this mess of a franchise. Honestly, i feel bad for the actors. They acted the hell out of every scene, they did what they could, with what they had. They spent years, pouring life into these characters. This scene is stupid, as far as writing goes, but the acting is intense. Imagine what this show could have been, with writers who loved the characters as much as George RR Martin did.

F George. I think half the reason the show runners tied a bow on it so quickly is because they realized he was never ever ever going to finish the books. • @LarsAlfredson
      @LarsAlfredson ปีที่แล้ว +41

@@boredom2go I blame D&D. There is enough material in the books, for atleast 10 seasons, maybe even up to 13. Seasons 1-4 were great, beacuse they still had the source material, and also George was very much involved during those seasons. Season 5 they had source material, but without George to hold their hand, they couldnt write a decent script to save their lives. Seasons 6-8, no source material, no George, no nothing. Honestly, give the man a break. He is 74 years old, and he has built this huge world, and wrapping it all up, and doing it well, that has to take time. And also, competent writers would have been able to make something atleast decent, without the source material. The truth is, D&D cant write worth a damn, not on their own. The only thing they can do, kind of, is adapt other authors superior stories.

Every time a decision was to be made she chose the most violent and her instincts were only tempered by the people she had around her like Jorah, Ser Barriston and Tyrion. What did you think would happen when she stopped listening to those advisors?
While I agree her turn was overtly quick due to poor writing, it was obvious in early seasons that anyone who stood in the way of, or didn't fit into, the idyllic utopia she was trying to create would not be allowed to live. Same as with any dictator.

But to kill her own family and rightful heir to the throne would turn her into a kin and king slayer. She’d have to rethink.

Revealing who Jon is, sure, might urge Dany to do something she was already planning on doing, BUT, it also ensures, that she does not get away with it. OR it ensures, that Dany holds back from murdering Jon, but then live always with the knowledge that the true heir is alive and is NOT her.
Sansa knew Dany would murder Jon. What do you think would have happened when she asks Jon to build her "new world" with her, and he refused? Had he not killed her then, what do you think she would have done?

I find it interesting how Dany kept changing colours. At the start, she's a pure, but weak and used innocent girl, so a stained white. Then she changes colours, and is blue, a colour well liked by people and often used for freedom, when she's freeing slaves and overthrowing the masters. She's pure white then later, when she's freeing people and showing benevolence and kindness, when people like Tyrion are joining her because they see a actually good queen in their view. When she gets to Westeros, she's gone for a darker clothes look, showing she's not the same as in Essos, here she's coming with a army to invade, conquer, and here she has many enemies who she wants gone, like Cersei. She starts showing a much darker side, willingly using fire and blood to get her way, using Drogon to bully people into following her, accepting Ellaria's aid even though she killed a innocent child and had her lovers brother and nephew murdered, showing she was losing her morals in pursuit of the throne. When Jon comes, she starts acting more like her pre dragonstone self, even going north of the wall to save him showing real selflesness and bravery, and accepts to aid him without him bending the knee first( he did so after she agreed she would help him against the others). So she comes then to the North as a ally, having come to help with good intentions, so appears in snowy white, but then we see her darker side coming back when faced with the fact the North doesn't like her that much. But then after the battle at winterfell, she reverts to very dark colours, and once Missandei dies her clothes stay dark, and when Tyrion sees her there, clad in pure black clothes, queen of the ashes, over a city she ruthlessly and unecessarily as they surrendered before she attacked burned to the ground, with a army of black clad spear men, he realises she's not Dany, she's become the mad kings golden daughter. You notice through the seasons when her clothes darken her advisors become more and more nervous and unnerved with her, especially in Dragonstone where you can tell they worry she's going to think of the cities like Mereen or Astapor, that brute force is the only way to go.When she burns Varys, Jon and Tyrion are both shocked and begin to realise just how bad it is, because she's doing just like the mad king. When Tyrion looks at her on the steps, he is heartbroken that the person who seemed so good, so better then Cersei, who wanted advisors and would listen to them most of the times, who wanted to be better then her legacy, has become just like every other bad targaryen ruler, a tyrant who listens to none and does whatever they want, only believing in fire and blood to be the way.

For me - there's an interesting dynamic of respect in this scene. Yes, Tyrion committed treason, and he's being arrested. But in someway, because of his years of service, and his previous office, he at least gets to walk of the scene independently. He's not assaulted, or even manhandled away. He knows the moment he loses his freedom, but he gets to retain his dignity, at least for a bit, and frankly, from a position of authority, I imagine that's the best "goodbye" you can give a traitor and/or threat to your power. It makes me think of the Roman general Corbulo's command for suicide by falling on his own sword. A certain fate, but offered with a degree of dignity that might not be offered to the average soldier.

Jon was not the true heir. Neither was Danny. What seven kingdoms? Their armies were depleted, their lords gone, and she still had the Unsullied and the Dothraki and 3 large dragons (in the beginning). Also she came for his rescue and lost a dragon to the NK and fought the dead alongside him. Jon has honour and would never betray someone who helped him.
In the end no one except Sansa would have supported Jon's claim to the throne. And he really had no claim anymore, since Robert had won the war against the Targaryens fair and square and in GOT world there's a thing called "right of conquest". so Stannis was the truthful heir, not Jon.
Jon lost his birth right when his father (Rhaegar) and his grandpa (Mad king) were overthrown by House Baratheon. Now their descendants are the truthful heirs until someone more powerful claims the right of conquest. And that is Danny, not Jon, since she has dragons and you saw what they can do.

Tyrion's advices lead Daenerys forces into ambush many times.
And Daenerys actually suspected that he might not be just an idiot, but a traitor and Cersei's spy.
This could also explain why she was triggered by the sound of bells for she believed the surrender was a
trick by Tyrion conspiring with Cersei.Especially if Dany had received a message from her unsullied
that Tyrion freed Jaime and they both supposedly defected to Cersei exactly the moment when she was
about to fly to battle. And she actually heard a voice from the city:"Queen we are surrounded! Queen help us!",
which could be misunderstood for a distress signal from her own troops.
So she decided to bombard area ahead her troops to protect them from whatever trap could be.
This caused explosions of Aerys's wildfire which she recognized as if it was wildfire trap indeed
(pseudo wildfire trap theory). And she would genuinly believe that she indeed liberated the
city from a tyrant destroying it with wildfire. Then Daenerys arrests Tyrion for espionage "staring at him with anger,
disgusted that she trusted him so deeply for so long" according to the script.
Ironically Daenerys slaughtered a city only because Tyrion freed his brother.
Just like invasion of White Walkers happened only because Tyrion wanted
to use the White Walkers as a case for parley with Cersei! Daenerys was never mad!
Drogon took Daenerys body east towards Volantis. Towards nearest red priestess.
Daenerys is resurrected by a red priestess. First she learns how to fight with a sword.

Fought for those people and what did it cost? First Viserion then Jorah then Rhaegal then Missandei. And those ungrateful little idiots were plotting behind her back when she was literally drowning in grief and anger. Dumb Jon? No support no kind words to her. No wonder she slowly became more hostile. Lost everything yet they still wanted Jon on the throne and disliked her. Especially stupid Sansa. Hiding in the crypt like a lil c**t she is while Dany picked up a sword and had to watch Jorah get stabbed multiple times to save her. She was depressed. Her ''madness'' wasn't the desire to burn out of pleasure but because she realized that everyone who has ever loved her was gone and for what? NOTHING! Could've stayed in Essos with her three dragons and Jorah and Missandei. The Night King used poor Viserion to break the Wall anyway. Had she stayed eventually maybe he would've killed all those pricks in Westeros. Not her problem.

Me thinks G R R Martin is disheartened by the reception of the ending, and is either stalling the book or he is hoping he passes before having to finish it, because he did tell D&D the end, just not how he got there. I feel people are angry at the ending, and people will be angry at george when it is confirmed. It was the condensing of the plot that killed the series, they needed to set up this 'love story over a season and half, maybe 2, not bodge it in two episodes. Didn't buy it one bit, so Jon becoming a simp and dense because of 'his quweeeen' in about 3 episode arc, and turning a blind eye was completely out of character. it would have been better if they had established him manipulating, or faking it.

I always see Dany's sanity as a progress bar. At 0% she is completely sane and at 100% she is fully mad. Before the start of those 3 episodes she was at like 40-50%. Then she gradually got more mad but at same time she wasn't near 100% yet but more like at 65-70%. So they leapt the final third with a snap of a finger.

I don't understand why everyone hates this ending so bad. She massacred every foe to date, including burning people locked in a building. Her best friend was murdered right in front of her. Her surrogate father died fighting zombies or whatever. Her entire motive for living was just upended when she found out the man she loves is the rightful heir to the throne. She knows she will probably have to execute that man's sister for treason. Two of her dragons are dead, which she thinks of as her children. And she's the product of a father and mother who were brother and sister- clearly one step from madness her entire life. This is exactly how it had to end. It sucks that Jon had to leave, and king Bran is truly stupid, though I have a feeling that will be rectified in the new Jon Snow series. I re-watched the season four times now and it makes total sense- after about the third time around....
