The Fangirl Um I don"t know if you know but in TANGLED the series there is a prophecy saying that a drop of sunlight makes the golden flower and a drop of moonlight makes this icy, spiky, cold undestructable thing that is from there. And that thing is a main thing in the series. So it may be connected to frozen.
In the last tangled episode, rapunzel holds a "map" with two pictures. The sun with drops and moon and drops next to sun.
I was going to mention this, because the scroll in the tangled series seems to show that the moon drop made the spikes and I don’t know how icy they are…

And that's why Rapunzel hair grows back and has those powers in Tangled The Series!!!! When I saw the new episode yesterday of The Tangled Series Quest For Varian the scroll showed the Sun and Moon and drops of Sun and Moon and the Golden Flower!!!! There was a missing part of the scroll, there is a Silver Flower out there, there could be another healing song or a hurting song!!!!
LPS different, I noticed the sun and moon scroll too! I hope that we will be able to learn more about it in the next episode!
If u look at the scroll you can see that the sun drop forms the golden flower but the moon drop the magic rocks.... I wanna see the rest!!!

Matanja Redeker maybe the rocks were actually hail. The moon drops fell, and while they fell, they froze up enough to maybe literally pierce through the ancestor's DNA
This theory was really great you just gave the best thing to ask to see please do a theory on the flower from Rapunzel based off what you said about the queen she could be immortal or age slowly

Hey Fangirl Tangled the series backs this up as apparently Corona was plagued by an ancient sorcerer who seemed to have Elsa's powers. The sorcerer was sealed in another realm however his pupils and descendants long to free him and a mysterious blizzard comes in from a faraway land to nearly destroy Corona. We are led to believe it came from one of the other 7 major kingdoms implying Aerondel may be one of them.
On the series the tower collapsed and Rapunzel was upset as a guard with no helmet got her attention. She pushed the helmet away from the man and noticed that it was Cassandra's father. Cassandra's father explained that they didn't mean to hurt them. They were following someone's orders. Rapunzel demanded him to tell her who orders they were following and he said, "Your Father's". Rapunzel took out a scroll from a bag that was attached to the house and open it, revealing a sun with drops falling down to a flower and a moon with drops falling down to some spikes. It even include words but the scroll was missing a part that could solve her situation.
This makes so much sense. And if your watching Tagled:The Series there is a scrool which demonstrates a "moon drop"! (Goodbye Tower episode) This could be a ligitimate connection!
Also in The Tangled Series, there was an episode where Rapunzel went back to the tower where she grew up (I don't remember why) but the spikes that were following her, destroyed it plus the guards were following her and she told them why. That's when the guards told her that they were sent by the kind to find this missing piece to this page that shows the sun dropping its Ray into the flower and THE MOON DROPPING INTO SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW..... Possibly the Royal in Frozen???

Elsa’s aunt Ingrid had the same powers as Elsa. But in ouat Ingrid looks a tad bit older than Elsa. So if the powers were to be transferred by birth then elsa would be Ingrid’s child as Ingrid is just an older version of Elsa.
The amount of detail in the movie is amazing.
Also, in the latest episode "alchemist returns" of the tangled series, there is a parchement, where a sun drop falls And the image of the moon besides it. the part where the moondrops fell was torn away. the king wanted to keep this a secret to Rapunzel. Why? Your theory perfectly fits with that of tangled.

mandy Roosens , it is a very likely possibility. I hope that we get more answers soon. The rocks started to grow, after Rapunzel touched them. She has a connection to the flower, and the flower has a connection to Gothel, so I think that the rocks are connected to Gothel.
I've always been iffy about what actually thawed Anna. There were so many acts of true love there.
1. Cristoff giving up Anna so she could be saved by Hans (we all know how it worked out, but it was still an act of true love)
2. Olaf going around to close the windows so it would be warm and prolong Anna's life, even at the expense of his own.
3. Cristoff coming back through the blizzard when he realised the truth
4. Anna, despite thinking only cristoff could save her, running to Elsa instead to save her.
5. The actual protective stance she puts on when faced with the blade
6. The hugging and crying (not so much but that's when she turned back)
There's nothing to base it on, so we have no idea how quickly a frozen heart heals after the cure happens. It's supposedly worse than a frozen brain (not to be confused with brainfreeze lol), and you see that tiny Anna isn't getting up and walking around as soon as she's healed. Have you done a video on this? If you haven't I'd really like to see one
* Constellations of Neverland I realise that that's what they wanted to highlight (and I love that) but kristoff's act was just as true and it came first. If it wasn't kristoff's (more profound) act of true love, then it would have been Elsa's hug, seeing as the trolls said a true love's kiss would work, and I know they're stupid, but papa did not object. If a kiss would work but giving her up so she can live won't, wouldn't it be the more superficial, rather than the profound, that thawed her?
Considering how far gone Anna already was, only her sacrifice would be enough to begin to thaw her. That level of sacrificial love is the most powerful love of all. Not only did it save Anna, but it cast out Elsa's fear and allowed her to gain perfect control of her powers. Frozen isn't a Disney fairytale; it's a Sunday sermon.

I think that only Elsa's act of true love can save Anna because that's how everything get fixed at the end of the movie. She finally able to use her love and care to counter the fear that put everything under deep deep to the snow. Her act of true love thawed her forzen fear and give her the power to undo the harm she did to her kingdom. That's how i feel about the movie. Her fear is the source of the violent ice and when she learned about love, she can melt the ice, the fear away and finally control her power.
And if you watch the recent episodes of Tangled Happly Ever After, there's a scroll Rapunzel's father tried to hide from her, and she finds out that along with a drop of sunlight there had also been a drop of moonlight, thus those deadly icy spikes that have been following her, which also awoke her magical flower powers and made her magical hair grow back.
Is it just me or do other people think Anna has powers cause the trolls say “all magic EVEN memory” which means even small things needed to be removed
I hadn't thought about that - but it is interesting that Elsa was basically put through heck because apparently no one could tell Anna "no."
I thought it was more like a doctor saying to remove all gluten. He doesn't mean from your body right then and there, he means don't eat anymore gluten. That, along with elsa's fear of not being able to control her power, is why the girls were separated

Wait! The moondrop is canon in the Tangled tv show. If you watch the most recent episode they talk about the moondrop.
Wow, the instant you said something about a drop of the moon, I thought about the Rapunzel counterpart. They literally are the two sides of the same coin. Also, it terms of origins, that ties it even more to the original Snow Queen story since the drop of the moon could stand in for the shattered mirror with shards that lodge in your eye. It's not a perfect parallel by any means, but a shard or a drop of something silvery is a nice fairy tale explanation for ice powers :)

In the tangled show they actually talk about the moon stone that fell from the sky the exact moment the sun dropped
I have a sorta idea regarding the origin of the curse Elsa is under (I make the assumption that it's a curse despite her father saying she was born with the powers, as her ancestor could have been the one who was cursed and the curse passed down through genetics as you state in the video)
In Tangled the Series Episode 16 - Queen for a Day, we learn of a old 'warlock' called Xan Tiri who put Corona under a curse which is strikingly similar to the uncontrolled outburst of magic, Xan Tiri cursed Corona with a blizzard, which threatened to destroy the city; sound familiar, it should because whilst not intended to destroy Elsa's outburst put Arendale in a perma-winter or blizzard
Another potentially piece of supporting evidence that puts Xan Tiri near Arendale or close is that it is assumed or suggested that the curse came from across the sea, and across the sea from Corona is theoretically where the country where Arendale lies.
I know this crossing canons but it's something to consider, and could be plausible considering the similarities, and it's kinda semantic the warlock with a grudge against Corona cursing someone else with what could be describe as a drop of moonlight.

Well also since frozen is based on the snow queen, in the snow queen the devils break a mirror into pieces and it fell into a boys eyes, making him mean so honestly it makes more sense now because I never figured out how it tied together
If u have seen the cartoon version of tangled there’s that one episode where they have this old parchment with the sun drop picture and the moon drop picture.
I like the linguistic theory, but I prefer my pet head-canon that Loki is an ancestor in Elsa's family tree and she inherited some of his natural Jotunn abilities and his magic together. Mostly because it also addresses the plot hole in the first sequel Frozen short "Frozen Fever" where Elsa used her magic to change Anna's dress for her in a way that had nothing to do with conjuring ice and cold and thus she must have magic/seidr NOT related to her ice powers.
i was watching Tangled the other day and i noticed that the drop of sun fell at night. i mean when you're watching there is light for a moment but then when the drop lands you can clearly see its not daytime. is it just crappy weather,or just really early morning as the sun rising.

I am also glad you mentioned the “born or cursed” because the way I thought about it, because the king seemed to hesitate when asked if she was born or cursed, so I like the thought that he or the queen did something bad that caused a witch to curse the first born. So Elsa was born with the powers but only as a result of the curse.
You did mention that the first ancestor was cursed and then the powers were past down.

My hypothesis was that an ancestor of King Agnarr had been cursed, then cured by the trolls, but a trace of the magic had gone down through the bloodline and interacted with a dormant magic in Idunna's bloodline.

In the Tangled The Series, there was an episode that did confirmed this. A drop from the moon created these rocks that looked dangerous spike-y ice crystals. Similar to the ones in Frozen. I think there's one more hint for this: In Tangled The Series latest episode, Rapunzel found a scroll about the sun drops and the moon drops. The sun drops makes the magic flower and the moon drops makes those spike that attack Rapunzel in Tangled Before ever after. Connect with Elsa power we will get why frozen Anna can block Hans direct strike to Elsa because she's can not be destroy
