Dam Rick great video. Just watched this today & it answered every question I think I had about getting the W2. Had the funds to get the W1 but an emergency came up. So thanks for this vid & now I need a inlet pipe to mount to the W2 when I get it. My setup as of now (Full cated street exhaust from Maperformance...CAI from Maperformance...Mishimoto intercooler...Hondata...tuned By Alex Pagan in Tulsa. Putting out 231Hp atw & 266flb of torque). Looking forward to more vids with W2 in action.
There is a mathematical formula to figure your horsepower in drag racing. As long as you weigh the car with you in it, you can figure out the horsepower from the time and the trap speed.
How much hp u pushing with the W1 i have bin trying to keep same type of mods so i can make 360 like you did with stock turbo. Now i am fbo with twin disc 725 clutch an full e85 with w1. Definitely would love to chat about hondas an ask you alot of question that not everyone Is willing to talk about.
I didn't make 360hp on a stock turbo. The power I made on the W1 can be found on the 27won website blog. I helped them with R&D. It was back in 2018, so that was also the last time I ran that turbo as well. It's a great turbo! Just depends what you'd like to accomplish because the W1 and W2 both have different purposes.
Per Derek Robinson, even with the turbo installed, it's still quite limited on how much power it can actually make thanks to fuel system limitations. Gotta swap out the fuel systems to get the potential of the turbo.
Build motor is definitely always recommended. The W2 is more linear with torque, so it does help with the stock motor…but just keep in mind you’re still making more power than what Honda intended it for.

He asked for final boost numbers so I answered the boost question "28psi". If he's asking for HP #s doesn't that defeat the purpose of me uploading a video showing the actual car on the dyno? I don't mind answering questions but that's why I upload the videos so that everyone can watch and get answers. Now if someone reads the comment showing HP they won't bother watching the video. lol Should I make another dyno video now that I'm on E85?

The W1 is a great choice. We helped R&D that turbo before they became available.

How gentle is the 27WON with stock block? Do I need to reinforce pistons and get a better clutch?

The final numbers were in the video. Boost was only 28psi. No pictures but When I get them I’ll post on IG.

What’s the max power stock transmission can handle?
We ran 10.7 on a stock transmission.
