    I have struggled with mental illness and my mental health since I was a kid. Before I even knew what those terms were. After years of depression, anxiety, and even an attempt to take my life, I never thought I would be able to live without psych medications. I clung to them because it was the only thing that made my mind quiet, but it also made me a zombie. Microdosing has given me control of my mental health for the first time, and they essentially gave me my life back.

      I’ve been researching on psychedelics and it’s benefits to individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD and from my findings, they really work and I’ve been eager to get some for a while but its been difficult to get my hands on them.

      The Trips I've been having really helped me a lot. I’m now able to meditate and I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well

    For the first time in my life I am accepting that I am depressed, and I'm not hiding it or pretending anymore. I am alone, medication is not working, I have to find other ways. I'm glad I found this video. I've been hiding from social life and acquaintances, I find no pleasure in every day things like I used to but I'm setting the intention to get well, I have two children to live for.

      There may be an important message that depression wants you to know. For me, depression is like another side of spiritual awakening. I tried to learn from it and accept where I was, then I tried one small step forward each time, and I am out. May you have a better recovery from this tough journey. God bless!

    To heal from anxiety and depression intrusive thoughts etc is first pray alot fast and pray, start healing child hood trauma by knowing your identity in Christ... Start with forgiving people that hurt you practice self love by accepting yourself and knowing that you are enough and God didn't make a mistake making you... That's what will get u out of your depression and anxiety and stop trying to force and control things in your life and just let go and let God...

    Awareness that I can plan how I'd like my recovery to go is a perfect step forward. I have been down dark roads, and would love to comfort those struggling with the same things I've known. Being a friend is one of the most crucially underrated, and overlooked purposes on this planet. Being a friend changes, and saves lives. You can count on that.

    After so many years, I knew there has been off about my whole being. I just turned 19 yesterday, and the past few days I have been skipping school due to presentations and exam I have been dreading and the thought of failure made my anxiety even worse that's why i skipped instead. Today is Monday and thankfully there's no class for today so I wouldn't have to go the campus and meet my classmates. Simple as going to the campus triggers my anxiety or even staying focused on discussions to attain new information triggers my short attention span. My mind would be wandering around different things instead of listening to what my professors would say. The only time where I'm not worrying so much of my life is during summer break.
    I realized that I have a high functioning depression. I thought I was gonna grow out of the weird feeling but then it's already so many years and I still feel the same shitty feeling I've always felt since quarantine (where I spent too much time just inside.)
    Today, I want to be finally transparent with my mental health and how I realized how not okay I am. I want to take a break from school and be intentional with my own healing. Everything starts with the mind. I can no longer keep up with the busy schedule around school and I wish I had the energy to endure it but I'm so fed up already. I want to focus on other things as of now and that is to work on my overall well-being. School was making me even more stressed and depressed with life and I can't wait to get out of this burden for a little while.

    Why is depression paired with anxiety? They’re opposites. When I’m depressed, I shut down and lose interest in everything. Anxiety makes people tense, nervous, and hyper. One is a downer and the other is an upper.

    • @toastrecon
      @toastrecon ปีที่แล้ว +16

      I’m just some guy on the internet, but I think they’re both symptoms of the same core dysfunction. You feel anxious about a situation or circumstance and it makes you feel awful. You may avoid the situation or circumstance and then it goes badly. When things go badly, it can be demotivating and you can feel helpless and powerless. That cycle leads to more disengagement from life and it’s tasks until basic stuff like cleaning your house or doing your job become these heavy weights. It’s only if you can find a way and the strength to reengage with life that your mind will start to slowly rebuild that confidence. You can get up on time. You do start keeping your house clean. Whatever baby steps. As you do better, you feel better. You can go to that party or give that presentation and your mind is healthy and strong enough that even if stuff doesn’t go perfectly, you can just laugh and move forward. Definitely not easy.
