    I had Gerd so badly that it was irritating my esophagus and causing A-Fib pains at night. It was really, bad to the point I thought I was having a coronary. Changed my diet considerably to bland foods and have been doing your poses, religiously, for about two weeks now, a couple times a day. The pain is almost entirely gone. Can't thank you enough. I thought I was headed for surgery, and you've help heal me, tremendously. Namaste!

      May I ask what kind of food did you eat in detail? Like breakfast lunch and dinner? I really have it bad and was recommended to do the BRAT diet by my doctor.

    Some of the poses here, as other people have mentioned, eg downward dog and any inversions are really detrimental for GORD

      I hope so, I have hiatus hernia, have been doing yoga consistently for about 3 months now, but I've just been advised to go in for surgery after an extreme bout of severe gastritis , I'd changed diet and everything😅😢

      Any pose that would cause you to bend over is bad for gerd because it gives the opportunity for the stomach acid to flow from your stomach up your oesophagus , this is why these poses are not good. So there’s that
      However there’s also something called Faith and Human will that defies science.
      Some people do these poses believing it works so it actually works for them.

    I have horrible acid reflux disease. I take medicine for every morning before I eat. Well anyway I realized that I ran out of my medication for acid reflux. Long story short I came upon this video it was amazing. It really does work i take my medicine every other day now. I'm hoping by next month I can get off the medication completely. I don't know how to thank you you have changed my life I highly recommend this. But It might not work for everybody we're all different remember.❤❤❤👍👍👍

    I'm truly sorry, but two of these poses are terrible for a damaged oesophageal sphincter - as one is likely to have if they have GERD. Any inverted poses can start stomach acid dripping back into the oesophagus and downward facing dog is definitely one of them. Also, crunching the knees back up to the stomach and compressing the stomach similarly sends the acid back up. I think this needs to be re-thought, and please do not recommend these two poses for people with GERD. I tried it and my throat is burnt once again, just as I was getting my voice back.

    Worse positions for GERD! Downward dog lets the stomach acid come right up my esophagus! Generally, do positions that keep the head above the stomach and you will be okay.

      Memorize the excercise, do 2 to 3 times while doing naturally observe when u r inhaling and exhaling...then follow that with natural flow...

      It is may be because of low stomach acid level which cause indigestion and burping. Test ur stomach acid level by baking soda test
      U will get u have low stomach acid level or adequate level.
      If u hav low level of stomach acid, then treat it and make it adequate

    HOW CAN YOU RECOMMEND downward dog for a "relief" from adic reflux ? It proves you know nothing about the condidion and just add keywords like "oesophagus acid reflux, heartburn " for extra clicks. :(

      You are not supposed to do these poses with full stomach... atleast there should be a gap of 2 hrs after light meals and 4 hrs after heavy meals
