  • This is a beautiful short practice that will release tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back & will help you feel more ease and spaciousness in your body and mind. It is a fully accessible practice, suitable for absolute beginners, right through to the advanced practitioner. It can be done seated on the floor, or in a chair - perfect for a quick break in your office chair to release any tension built up working on your computer.

    I don't know if you still read these, but I had to share this: I've been having pretty much constant pain in my shoulder for months now. A massage would help for a few hours but no matter what I did, there was that CONSTANT pain. Then I discovered this video and within 3 days of doing it the pain was basically gone! All I need to maintain is do this every other day now and most days I'm fine. As far as I am concerned this is a small miracle. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

      I am pretty much in very bad pain and trying it with hope ....will let know after a few days of practice if it helped although doing it now made me feel better.

    I began feeling back in 2004 till now ,I have gone to hospitals, for injections but they was no change ,the pain was now in the chest ,shoulders neck ad all the muscles of the head ,I have taken painkillers for 17 years now ,I thank God dat I came across this ,I have done it for three days now ,omg,I sleep like a baby, no pain ,am so happy, I feel I have new life ,am forgetting all the pain I have got for 17 years ,I had lost hope ,thank u so much

    I just want to say thank you for the work you do here and for offering this on a free platform. I have debilitating fibromyalgia, anxiety, migraines, and several other things that I am currently working to heal as best I can.     I do neck and shoulder sequence every day and this is really one of my favorite videos. I get more pain relief in this short video than most others. It’s thoughtful of you to do this and really a nice touch to have you mirror your students by saying “right” when you are doing left. 🙏

    Thank you so much for this! I have had intense neck and shoulder pain and numbness in my hands for 2 months. I have gone to physical therapy twice a week, to a chiropractor, and done daily exercises at home.. This simple yoga practice makes me feel better than all of those other things. I have watched it so many times now. It's a reminder to me that yoga is a practice, not an occasional exercise. Thank you for offering this!

    As a fellow yoga instructor and practitioner, your transitions are very smooth, comfortable and bringing the practitioner right to their threshold. In addition, your additional directions and added twists gave a normal pose new stimulation for the muscles. EXCELLENT

      the transitions are smooth, however:; i found it confusing hearing twist to the L & you were twisting to your R, with all your poses- if you say twist L, do it.

    As an American stuck inside during the pandemic, I've been doing a lot of drawing and playing a lot of video games.     This is the only routine that actually completely relieves my pain! Otherwise, I keep feeling at least a little 24/7. Discovering this video is like beginning to heal. I first did it two days ago and effects lasted quite long, even dulling the pain the next day. Definitely will be doing it daily from now on.

    I have been doing yoga for years (originally in India and now in the US), and have learned various styles from both conventional and new age gurus, and from both Hindu and Western backgrounds. This is the only video that consistently helps with my neck, shoulder pain and consequent migraines. Your voice is lovely and soothing, and I'm really able to concentrate.

    This little yoga session is my first go-to anytime I have neck or shoulder pain, and often, even when I don’t, just to reduce tension in general. For me, these moves are amazingly effective. Like others, I also appreciate the silent background and your soothing voice. Thank you sooo much from a 66year old woman fighting to keep moving!

    I’m a former flight attendant and I have back pain from my previous job. My back made a cracking noise doing one of the pose, and after the session my back pain is miraculously gone. It worked better than massage. You saved me. Thank you so much Paula! Loads of love from Brazil ❤️

    I usually don't comment on videos, but this one has helped me so much!!! I keep coming back to it after years(4 years!!!). I have chronic neck pain from slippage in my 4th and 5th cervical discs, from an accident. My neck pain immobilizes me some days. However, I know I can always come back to this video and my neck pain will be significantly better. This video has helped me more than physical therapy AND pain management. Nothing takes away the pain but this. THANK YOU SO MUCH❤

    I have Myofascial pain syndrome. I've broken a lot of massagers, been back and forth to therapist, getting massages twice a month but the pain always comes back. It's really depressing having chronic muscle pain. I have watched a lot of stretching videos and this is the best thing I've tried that targets all my painful tense muscles.     I always come back to this video. I have terrible chronic neck pain and have gone to physical therapy. Between my prescribed exercises, heating pads, the lacrosse ball, resistant bands and videos like yours, the pain is significantly less.... The hard part is staying consistent!
