Thank you for your review, and greetings from Costa Rica. I'm also getting a 5-door black Jimny and this is very helpful. I'll keep watching your videos.
A warm Namaste from India as well 🙏. Thank you so much for watching and your feedback, really appreciate it! I am glad you found it useful, rest assured you are getting a great car that you will thoroughly enjoy too, if you are not a speedster 😀. The black looks stunning in the Jimny, great choice 😉. Congratulations and good luck with your new Jimny when you get it, cheers 👍🏽
That’s a fair figure considering it’s gearing. It’s a more modern and more usable vehicle than it’s illustrious predecessor - the Gypsy King. Not many would be smiling after a 700km trip in a stock soft top Gypsy in this hot humid weather….and if the Gypsy hit’s a pothole at speed there’s a chance the driver may be launched upwards to find himself in orbit with Chandrayaan…. The Jimny generations ahead of the Gypsy because of it’s good suspension. Therefore will find favour with many who want to have a robust and versatile single car in the garage.
Succinctly put, couldn't have said it better myself😊. It's so easy and enjoyable to talk to a person who is familiar with the King himself, the Gypsy - Its a living legend! Enjoyed your narration, keep watching and talking, cheers 👍

@@handsonwithbabbar First test of a 4 door Jimny l have seen, seems quiet inside and the fuel consumption seems pretty good for a new and tight engine. We have had our Jimny for 3 years now and fuel consumption averages around 40mpg (about 14.22kpl) in mixed driving. l would stick with standard tires unless doing a lot of offroad driving as this could affect both road noise and fuel consumption. My girlfriend has named our Jimny "Badger" as it is white with black steel wheel rims. Greetings from England.
Hi @clooperman3745 & a warm Namaste from India! Thanks so much for watching, commenting and introducing the Badger to the Ibex :) I echo your points on the stock tires, i am super happy with those! Have you seen the my first review on the 5-door Jimny, you will find it interesting, here is a link: th-cam.com/video/F_lJ5Vevxy8/w-d-xo.html Haven't I seen a video of you and your girlfriend in your Badger on YT, I remember the name Badger and also the same reasoning as yours on why you call it the Badger! Back in the day, cars did 80km/h at 3,000 r/min in 4th gear. Our highway speeds were around 100km/h, sometimes 120, road depending. Young people are spoilt and ignorant. If revs sound too high, just reduced speed. Or fit a good JBL sound system. I cured many Volkswagen worries with a car stereo. 😊
Jimny is really really Good car which everyone needs as a first car! It is very capable, comfortable and enjoyable to drive in all weather conditions even in long Highway drive! I'm very very impressed by the Jimny! As you have shown that average mileage of your Jimny is 14.5 km/l, my Jimny also showing 12 to 13.5 km/l in Hill roads, which is very impressive! Thank you Maruti-Suzuki for giving us this long awaited wonderful Product! Thank you for your knowledgeable video! I wish everyone should own this Buddy and enjoy Life to the fullest with Jimny's anywhere everywhere driving experiences!
Thank you for your compliments and for sharing your wonderful thoughts on the Jimny, its a brilliant car indeed. My best wishes for your Jimny, cheers. 😊
Contemplating a 5-dr auto Jimny GLX and then to fit an 80l long range tank, a better speaker set from JBL, and a fridge in the back, to keep the meat fresh. We don't drink. Suspension setup will remain standard. It is stupid to fit lift kits as it doesn't increase ground clearance after all. (The diffs still sit at the same height, 210mm on Jimny is adequate.)
Go for it, its a great car! 80L tank makes a lot of sense since it does take frequent trips to the gas station. The top spec 5 door here in India called the Alpha comes with an Arkamys tuned audio system and i find it pretty adequate but i must admit that i am not an audiophile! On the fridge and the rear setup - don't have any experience on that but i just want to add some info that you might find useful, the rear seats on the 5 door do not fold flat like they do in the 3 door version, so you may want to check that bit! You are bang on - i too find the ground clearance and suspension set up more than adequate 👍 Good luck for you new ride, Cheers.
Hello from Australia! Thank you for the excellent review of the Jimny. I currently have a 3 door but have ordered a 5 door. I’m told it will be here in March… the wait is painful!
Namaste from India! Thank you for your comments, appreciate it! You’ve actually had the best of both worlds - we never had the option of the 3 door in India! Suzuki directly launched the 5 door here. Congratulations on ordering the 5 door, you will thoroughly enjoy the practicality of the 5 door with the OG Jimny DNA intact. I feel you on the long wait but we had the same situation - I booked mine in Jan 23 and got mine in June 23 - you are actually slightly better off, if that helps 😊 Cheers and good luck!
@@handsonwithbabbar 👍 Thanks. My current 3 door is a manual transmission. I have ordered an automatic. One question - If you are driving smoothly on a straight road could you tell me at what speed the automatic gearbox goes into 4th gear? I ask because the speed limit around town here is generally 60 km/h. Thanks again.
I have booked a Jimny Alpha MT for my wife, who is a motorcycle enthusiast. She owns a RE classic 500 & Yeti Awd. I own a Gypsy & a hatchback. After seeing your's & Prashant's videos, I am motivated to upgrade to Alpha AT for her. Only concern is future maintenance issues. Please advice. Regards.
Hey thanks for watching and reaching out! What are your specific concerns around future maintenance? Even before you elaborate on it, the good news is, this is Maruti - service is as reasonable as it can get here in India, so I am not worried a lot! I would say go for the AT unless you think the wife would prefer the MT specifically! On another hand, love your choice of vehicles - both’s better halves included 😊, cheers!
While you will hear all kinds of things, i can assure you, it does a decent job of it! I have covered highway speeds in my lastest video, go for it ! Cheers 👍🏽
Great views, Babbar sahaab. Reinforces my choice of car to replace my Aria. KPL is a cause of concern, which most vloggers don't address very much. You have shown us a typical Dilli waali usage of the car and about 13 kpl on the whole is fantastic. The Alpha Auto is also my choice of variant, Bluish Black or Granite Grey remains to be seen.
Thank you for your complements Sandeep! Great choice - you will love driving this little beauty. The Alpha auto is the way to go. All my previous cars have been silver or grey - i was given an ultimatum by by kids to stay away from those "boring colors" thats why the black and it looks stunning ;) Do share your experience, Good luck!
Good day ma’am! The Jimny Alpha comes with this 9 inches head unit with Apple CarPlay and android auto and the Zeta variant comes with a smaller head unit of 7 inches. Thanks for watching, cheers 😊
Wonderful review!! IBEX is giving a good mileage. Sir it's because of ua driving and handling. Though in the running in period,u achieved a good mileage. Definitely it will perform after the period. 👍🏻👍🏻👌
Took delivery a week ago....i try to drive as linearly as possible but sometimes my foot gets burried to the floor (to overtake road hoggers 😒)....as a result im barely getting around 10kmpl (pre-first service) Does engaging overdrive improve mileage?
It's too early to be monitoring mileage figures, run it in properly and check again after 3k kms - always use the tankful to tankful method. I've done 2500km and my normal everday driving mileage has stabilised around 12km per liter. Keep TP at 29 / 30 psi, if you are running on stock tyres even if you are alone in the car. OD on or off is a useful feature that you can see how to use in in one of my videos. Let me know if this helps, Cheers.
Wonderful video. We really love the Jimny videos with loads of useful information. Personally I have become a fan of your style of closing statement. Please keep it on 🙏 My Jimny arrived last week, same colour and variant. Couldn't go for any long drive since I was outstation. I am in a dilemma whether to upgrade the tyres to Yoko 215/ Apollo 225 AT tyres or not. I am not an off-roading enthusiast, just needed a capable and well built car which can take me anywhere and doesn't get me stranded due to mud/ slush or sudden snow fall.
Thank you for the generous compliments, really appreciate it! 😊 Your request on my style is duly noted! If you have seen all my videos, this one particularly th-cam.com/video/F_lJ5Vevxy8/w-d-xo.html you will know that i do not advocate changing tyres, the stock tyres on the Jimny are very very capable Bridgestone Duelers, i have used the same tyres on my XUV500 for 10 years with even a treacherous 15 day Ladakh trip on those tyres, these are really good tyres, keep them! You Jimny can do everything you have listed above and much more on these tyres, be carefree and drive fearlessly! Hope this helps, cheers 👍
Hi sir....I really appreciate your videos, I would like to ask you if you make a video explaining cruise control in the jimny....how it works, how can be activated and disabled...fuel consumption when using it and so on. Also the start stop feature...how it works, how to activate it and how to disable it and if it really helps in terms of fuel consumption. I know the star stop feature requires a special battery so it would be very welcome to know which model and brand that jimny comes with from factory. Thanks a lot
Thank you for your comments, I will try and cover as many topics as possible! You should refer to the owners manual to find out the battery details etc! Good luck and thanks for watching!

Hi, I absolutely binge watched your Ibex videos. Thank you for all the grwat details. I'm eagerly awaiting the 5 door launch in South Africa some time November. Im truly interested in your fuel consumption and what if any changes you've experienced after the run in period. Please do an updated when you reach that point. In all keep the videos coming, your doing a great job.
Thank you for your very flattering comments, appreciate it! The daily commute fuel consumption has settled at about 12 km per liter of petrol for me, which is pretty decent. I wish you luck with your Jimny now tha these have been launched in SA. Cheers 👍🏽
Thank you so much, appreciate your compliments! Payloads yes, however unfortunately, don't have much opportunity to test towing here unlike where you are brother - no boats, no campers, no trailers 😉, cheers.
@@handsonwithbabbar on the suzuki website it says the pay load is about 320kg but who knows how it handles with that weight. That's exactly 4 people who each weight 80kg in the car to max out payload
Just a quick question...Since you mentioned about running on stock tyres. Are you planning to upgrade to a bigger tyre...Have been seeing a lot of people doing it recently...
I don't think so, i am really happy with the Bridgestone Duelers its been shod with, i have used the same tyres (different size of course) on the XUV and those are one dependable set of tyres! You are bang on, most people are making those changes but only some serious, experienced and knowledgeable enthusiasts know exactly, what they are doing but most don't, they are either following the sentiment or just there to grab eyeballs but are now wondering, why are there vibrations and low mileage 😉. Cheers.
@@handsonwithbabbar So true...changing of tyre size shouldn't affect mileage and most importantly the driving experience as it also tends to make the steering wheel slightly hard...I can understand from the videos that most of them are either doing it for the sake of mods or just a style statement...
Thank you so much! Its not a speedster as i say all the time but does anything that you ask of it, uncomplainingly! It just might do that, make that 0-100 video that is, don't know when though! My best wishes to you dad in the meantime. Cheers 👍
As you must’ve also seen in the video, it’s a very torquey engine and responds quickly too - this was my experience with two adults and half the boot filled with luggage. Haven’t had a full load situation yet, so can’t say! I had no problems overtaking etc and we were in the hills! I haven’t experienced it yet, but I think the only situations, the Jimny will run out of grunt, will Be on long and straight road stretches where the overtaking speeds may be in 3 digits and accelerations may need to be quick, elsewhere it’s just fine! Hope that helps, Cheers 👍🏽
Curious. Exactly how far is Dehra Dun from your place? I have often driven Delhi to Mussoorie and it was just about 300 km. Your mileage figure is very realistic.
Nice video sir, you have realistic expectations from the machines, as the other day I was watching one of the very popular Auto Journalism channel, and they just declared, that Jimny is not meant for Highway travel and not for family also.
Hi Deepak, not sure if I understand your question completely, yes the Jimny can do long drives easily, however if you are only going to be using the car for in-city and highway driving only and not for hills or off-roading then you might want to consider other two wheel drive cars in the same segment, as those might be more efficient for cities and highways, also remember that the Jimny is strictly a 4-seated car! Hope that helps, cheers👍🏽
Hi, when you are driving and you stop, lets say at a red light, the engine will stop after 10 seconds approximately and as soon as you take your foot off the brake, it starts and you can drive, its quite simple. Cheers 👍
Dr V.Loiwal.Yesterday I came to dehradoon from Gzb with my freedom jimny manual, maintained speed of 70-80kmh got an average of 17km/L. Performance on hills was exhilarating. 😊
Sir, really good video. I also own a Jimny, not automatic, and I've found that the brakes are not fine. I have given it back to the concern for checking. When I drove another vehicle also it looks like the brakes are a little slow only. Could it be because it's a manual car.
Dear Vishwa, I have not experienced any issues with the braking in my Jimny and I don’t think it’s anything to do with being Manual as the brakes are standard across all variants and transmissions - discs in front and drum in the rear! It is important that you ensure if there is not a problem with you JIMNY’S brake only or are you just used to better brakes! Which car were you driving before the Jimny? Let me know! In the meanwhile thanks a lot for you compliments, cheers👍🏽

I love the Jimny, but I've seen several reviews saying the fuel burn is really high for the size of the vehicle and engine. I would have expected something in the 8 to 9 litre range. EDIT: Just noticed you use km per litre in India, while in AU we use litres per 100km.... makes more sense now!
Hi, sir. I appreciate your thorough Jimny reviews and straightforward discussion of pros and cons, a rarity among owners. I'm contemplating the Jimny Alpha with automatic transmission, but being from Uttarakhand, I'm uncertain due to its relatively compact size and limited ground clearance. However, the 4*4 capability is a definite plus. Can you assist in resolving my doubts? Eagerly awaiting your response.
Thank you for the compliments, appreciate it! The ground clearance is more than adequate and the compact size is in fact a bonus for narrow hilly terrains - go for it without any hesitation, you can thank me later 😊! Good luck!
The past few videos on the jimny has been very pleasant and informative. Thank you for that sir. Do you plan on doing any mods or upgrades on the IBEX? Have you also looked into any accessories? I am especially interested to know more about camping accessories for the jimny.
Thank you for your nice comments! 😊Nothing planned for mods yet, i don't see the need so far! Accessories like the arm rest, floor tray, and some other small but functional stuff is on my radar.. soon i guess. For camping accessories, have you looked at the Nexa Jimny accessories, some were interesting and reasonably priced too! I haven't really explored that space yet, if i do venture that side, will keep you posted through the videos of course. Cheers👍

There has been a news about jimny taking a safety hit with a crash that recently happened with a pickup in Kerala. What's your take on this accident, overall safety and build quality of the vehicle?
My apologies for the late reply! I started replying and then got distracted. First of all what happened was really unfortunate, my heart goes out to the family of the young driver who passed away! However I am not sure if you caught the first major accident that the Jimny was involved in? It was a hi speed bus that t-boned a kinetic yellow Jimny near Ghaziabad in NCR! There were 4 occupants, it was a hi impact crash and all the 6 air bags opened and the nobody got a even a single scratch! So the short answer is, each accident is different and we don’t know what happened in this one, the footage is unclear - looks like both vehicles were at high speed, the tempo had some illegal modifications protruding out of it, the driver of the Jimny was thrown out of the car I think, makes one wonder, if he was wearing a seat belt! As long as the strength of the vehicle is concerned, I have seen total loss XUVs, Nexons and Thars that all have high scores in crash ratings … I can also answer it for you in another way that had this accident happened before I got my Jimny, would I still buy it? Short answer, I would have, no doubts about that! Hope this answers your question, cheers 👍🏽
You are absolutely right sir, this was my first vlog and i am still learning things in this new world of YT 😊. I apologize for the compromised quality of the audio and assure you that i will keep your feedback in mind and make amends, thanks again, cheers.
My experience on improving the mileage on any Suzuki Automatic with a Torque convertor based Automatic Transmission. 1. Feathering the accelerator instead of putting the pedal to the metal. Always go easy on the acceleration. 2. Roll the vehicle as much possible (if the vehicle is mild hybrid, it helps charging the battery as well) 3. Stay inside 80/85 KMPH. Anything above 90, it will guzzle like nobody's business. On my UC, I have achieved 21.2 KMS on the Blore highway just by doing the above. I am assuming Jimny couldnt be any different while doing long trips.
Thanks for sharing your tips on extracting mileage from Suzuki automatics, appreciate it! My two bits: If you are buying for fuel efficiency, this is the wrong car and secondly, if you drive the Jimny conscious about the mileage, you are going to miss out on the thrills and fun of driving it! Cheers 👍🏻
I think it will be a huge struggle given the space and the height, even if you can squeeze it - it will take away the decent boot that this car has. I won't recommend it, cheers.
Thanks for sharing the high way experienced sir . I Just waiting for some time to take a break from work , will take the Jimny to the jungle . Sir how’s the power in the highways ?? Just one question to ask . Happy motoring ahead sir . Tc
You are welcome and thank you for the compliments! The power is adequate to tell you in a nutshell, just like I mentioned in my video a couple of times, cheers and good luck 👍🏽
Agree, the Mahindra 3XO is a great package of a car, I even liked the XUV 300 quite a bit, great size, superb engine and planted drive, congratulations on your choice, I am anyway a big Mahindra fan since my first Scorpio way back in 2006 and the XUV 500 in 2012 - Great Indian brand. My current quest is beyond the fuel efficiency, the feeling and confidence of driving a car that can conquer any terrain is unsurmountable - I don't know if you have driven the Jimny yet - it's a very different experience 😊. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience, appreciate it 👍.
@@handsonwithbabbar feeling a car to climb on any terrain might be experienced with a rented car as no one these days will roam offroads that often and even alto is capable enough to drive in a slightly off raod terrain if driven with skills not talking about custom made trackers to demonstrate suv capabilities thats just 0.1 % or even less for a regular consumer cats
The roads in my city in these monsoons were like off-roading every day and I really enjoyed driving the Jimny anywhere I wanted, while the rest of the world stood watching 😊! Also I can’t afford renting an off-raider for these kinda drives everyday - I am super happy and contest with the Ibex, wish you contentment too my friend, thanks for watching 👍🏼

Am I missing something? 13.5 km per L seems very high to me, especially on the highway? My Vitara averages between 6 and 7 overall, city/suburban/highway mix... guess that's the price you pay for 4WD...
This is km to a liter vs liters to 100 km that you might be confusing it with - this translates to 7.4 liters for every 100 km - hope this helps! Let me know, cheers.

The Jimny used to be a cheap car , it now isn’t they have put it in a price bracket that demands a bit more , the old Jimny was great but the engine wasn’t the best , I’ve not drove the new one . I’m not a big fan of diesel but I can’t help think a diesel engine option may have been a good idea .
Suzuki has completely stopped making diesel cars here in India as the emission norms are getting very stringent! The car though tad expensive as you rightly said, does not feel underpowered - It's very peppy and lot of fun to drive. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I own a Jimny 5 door ...if you are buying for going extreme off road purpose then buy it but anyone who wants only for mild off road then better buy grand vitara all grip or bolero neo optional with mld or thar roxx 5 door rwd or scorpio classic or bolero bs6
Hi Thanks for watching. In India, we call all roads that are outside the towns and cities as highways - the roads that connect two towns are called State Highways (SH) and the ones that connect cities in different states are called National Highways (NH) and there is no concept of minimum speed - hope that helps you better. Cheers👍
Ok. That’s terrible efficiency I wonder why Suzuki isn’t using the latest hybrid system from Vitara on jimmy so it would be more efficient and start to sale it to Europe and other countries that have more restricted emissions policy . It’s a lovely and useful vehicle

Hi, I am going to be running on stock tyres only at least till this set wears out, as the Jimny is shod with very capable Bridgestone Duelers and they are extremely versatile plus there is a reason why the co. installed those in the first place! Fortunately, there are a ton of "Jimnys with 215 tyres" videos on YT . Thanks and Cheers 👍
Getting 12.5 Kmpl consistently now in city & 14 Kmpl on highway, with aircon on all the time... the Jimny Auto gearbox is beautifully tuned for the kind of vehicle it is - quick off its feet (not fast, mind you) with ample power and torque available on demand for off the tarmac drives - if one buys a Jimny for Fuel Efficiency, then they are making the wrong choice - hope that makes sense, cheers 👍
All those TH-camrs are the ones that wanted to buy the Jimny but didn’t because they expected it at a much lower price! All the TH-camrs who own them, are in love with their cars, the Jimny is a small explosive fun to drive, will go anywhere packet and it’s proven that! Test drive one and you will understand what I am talking about! The others who are saying that are the ones who are comparing it with highway friendly cars like creta, Kia cars and similar, that comparison is so flawed, this car can climb a mountain where there is no road and also on the highway! They can’t… anyway I just love this car enough to drive it for the next 15 years, cheers 👍🏽
Thanks for watching, please share the time stamp where you heard the din, so that we are on the same page! 14.5 KPL is very livable for a torquee, true blue off roader, cheers.
It’s not the most frugal car but I don’t think that an FE of 14.5 Km per liter or 6.9 liter to a 100 km can be called a disaster esp. since it’s a true blue suv!
Perhaps the worst on road stability car right now. The design is absolutely pathetic in regards to stability, it's madness how this design was accepted
The moment you drive on highway, your perspective gonna change sir, I'm owning 1st gen facelift fortuner as well as Jimny, and i can assure the ride quality is far better than the fortuner, it absorbs undulations just like the endeavour, it's just by looks one feels it's not a stable car, it's far more stable car than many pseudo suvs, forget thar.
The proof of the performance is only to be experienced in this car! The ride quality is just brilliant, please test drive it and then make an opinion, is my two cents on this. thanks for watching and engaging, cheers.

What is average of your Jimny in regular use and on highway
12.3 kmpl
You are bang on - i too find the ground clearance and suspension set up more than adequate 👍
Good luck for you new ride, Cheers.
Sorry about the delay in responding, I want to say that it kicks between 50 and 60kmph! Hope that helps.
@@handsonwithbabbar Thankyou. I have just taken delivery of my 5 door. Very happy. 😊
Congratulations and wish you many happy miles on it!😊🍻
Great Mileage Of 14.5 KMPL ❤❤❤❤❤ Ride And Handling is Good
I am certainly happy with it, cheers 😊
@@handsonwithbabbarSir, I see AT variant comes with 4 speed transmission i am not sure how the engine settles down at 120kph.
All my previous cars have been silver or grey - i was given an ultimatum by by kids to stay away from those "boring colors" thats why the black and it looks stunning ;)
Do share your experience, Good luck!
the attractiveness of this black Jimny is really strong
You are bang on 👍🏽😎🚙
Thank you for the interesting, informative and balanced review videos of the Jimny. I enjoyed watching them. Looking forward to seeing more of them.
Thanks for watching, I am so glad you liked them! These kind of comments keep me motivated, so please keep them coming and spread the word😊, Cheers!
Nice quote to end the video. Your channel is putting out some quality stuff in this sea of clickbaity motor vloggers.
Glad you think so! Thank you so much for your encouragement and your quality inputs, cheers.
good day sir! does the Jimny Maruti comes with a carplay or you upgraded your head unit? thank you!
Thank you sir for your compliments and best wishes, cheers.
"The Ibex" should return a better mileage when it completely runs in post 3k KMS or so?
I think it will certainly give better numbers after the running-in, cheers.
@@handsonwithbabbar I have booked the same color, but did so before watching your awesome videos :) Cheers
Wonderful video. We really love the Jimny videos with loads of useful information. Personally I have become a fan of your style of closing statement. Please keep it on 🙏
My Jimny arrived last week, same colour and variant.
An impressing video
Saw after a long time where the facts are put out without any wastage of time
A true review, love the way u put out this video , helping and informative and the best part is that u saved a lot of time n gave the understanding which is required
Thank u man. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much for you glowing and specific compliments, it really helps - truly appreciate it 😊
Hi, I absolutely binge watched your Ibex videos.
Cheers 👍🏽
Hi Ritesh,
Just a quick question - have you received the owners manual (hard/physical copy) with your Jimny?
Nope! They don’t give it any more, you can get a soft copy from them (Nexa), they will send you a PDF. Hope that helps, cheers 👍🏽
Thanks. Was just curious about this 👍🏼
Wow! This was extremely well done. Excellent video.
Future video ideas i would like to see, is testing payload, and also testing tow if possible
Great video, can you later on make a video about the 0-100 performance of the car as my father has booked this car as well in red, thanks
Thank you so much! Its not a speedster as i say all the time but does anything that you ask of it, uncomplainingly! It just might do that, make that 0-100 video that is, don't know when though! My best wishes to you dad in the meantime. Cheers 👍
@@handsonwithbabbar thank you sir, I was wondering just that, best wishes to you as well 🙏🏻
Great video sir.
Thanks buddy, glad to hear from you again 😊
how is the power on highways?overtaking, power and torque on fully loaded car on hills?
As you must’ve also seen in the video, it’s a very torquey engine and responds quickly too - this was my experience with two adults and half the boot filled with luggage. Haven’t had a full load situation yet, so can’t say! I had no problems overtaking etc and we were in the hills! I haven’t experienced it yet, but I think the only situations, the Jimny will run out of grunt, will
Be on long and straight road stretches where the overtaking speeds may be in 3 digits and accelerations may need to be quick, elsewhere it’s just fine!
Hope that helps, Cheers 👍🏽
Curious. Exactly how far is Dehra Dun from your place? I have often driven Delhi to Mussoorie and it was just about 300 km. Your mileage figure is very realistic.
329.6 KM to be exact 😊. Thank you for you engagement, cheers!
I am waiting to get mine
I wish you good luck in advance and urge you to think of a name for your Jimny 😊
nice video ! Is your Ibex color actually fully Black or the Bluish Black 1 ??
Thank you! The color as seen from the eyes is actually just Black, Suzuki call it bluish black! Hope that clarifies! 👍🏼
@@handsonwithbabbar thanks...yeah that nomenclature cn get pretty confusing to the eyes 😎
Nice video sir, you have realistic expectations from the machines, as the other day I was watching one of the very popular Auto Journalism channel, and they just declared, that Jimny is not meant for Highway travel and not for family also.

Thank so much for sharing, it means a lot! You are right, its my Primary car now and doing its duty brilliantly, i am happy 😊 cheers.
Not for Fat people.
😂😂@@markco4911
Sir , for family long drive (500kn ) at once , should I go for jimny ..
Sir How the Idle start and stop feature working in an automatic transmission vehicle?
Hi, when you are driving and you stop, lets say at a red light, the engine will stop after 10 seconds approximately and as soon as you take your foot off the brake, it starts and you can drive, its quite simple. Cheers 👍

Dr V.Loiwal.Yesterday I came to dehradoon from Gzb with my freedom jimny manual, maintained speed of 70-80kmh got an average of 17km/L. Performance on hills was exhilarating. 😊
Thanks for sharing Dr. Loiwal, its a wonderful ride, i like the name of your Jimny, Freedom 😊. Cheers.
Manual or automatic?
Manual.
On return from DDN igot average of 20km/L.

Hello! What about wobble effect?
Hi, I haven’t experienced any wobbling on it, can you elaborate more so that I ca understand better, thanks.
7l/100km for 20,000 km mixed city, off road and road
@@dusanzvekic1981 Thanks! That's not so bad at all!
Thanks for your comment - as you realised, it roughly translates into 7.4 liter per 100 km. Cheers.

Cheers👍
Wind and road noise on highway speeds?
Haven't noticed anything extra-ordinary, the cabin is fairly quiet - you can enjoy music and normal conversation 😊
Great video 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed, thank you 😊
yo whats that orange symbol on the dashboard?
The holy symbol of Lord Ganesha - the God of new beginnings, we invoke his blessing for anything major that is new that we start or buy like a car, a house, new business etc 😊.
It's not what you think it is 😂
There has been a news about jimny taking a safety hit with a crash that recently happened with a pickup in Kerala.
A very good video liked it 👍👍👍
Thank you very much, appreciate it 👍🏽
Sir is there any difference between smartplay and smartplay pro, besides their size?
No
I don't think so...

Nice video sir, but during video ,sometimes voice quality is not clear/ very low, mostly during driving. Excellent video.
2. Roll the vehicle as much possible (if the vehicle is mild hybrid, it helps charging the battery as well)
My two bits:
If you are buying for fuel efficiency, this is the wrong car and secondly, if you drive the Jimny conscious about the mileage, you are going to miss out on the thrills and fun of driving it!
Cheers 👍🏻
Very good informative review of mileage and highway drive..
Glad you liked it! Thanks for sharing, cheers.

Can I replace rear seat with captain seat. Pl suggest
I think it will be a huge struggle given the space and the height, even if you can squeeze it - it will take away the decent boot that this car has. I won't recommend it, cheers.

Am I missing something? 13.5 km per L seems very high to me, especially on the highway? My Vitara averages between 6 and 7 overall, city/suburban/highway mix... guess that's the price you pay for 4WD...

What psi are you maintaining?
The recommended 29 psi.
What we see in the video are not highways. I have not see 110 km/h, minimun speed for a highway; just common streets for a middle developed country.
Hi Thanks for watching. In India, we call all roads that are outside the towns and cities as highways - the roads that connect two towns are called State Highways (SH) and the ones that connect cities in different states are called National Highways (NH) and there is no concept of minimum speed - hope that helps you better. Cheers👍

Where are you from, may be I can point you in the right direction, if I know which country you are in?
Ok. That’s terrible efficiency
I wonder why Suzuki isn’t using the latest hybrid system from Vitara on jimmy so it would be more efficient and start to sale it to Europe and other countries that have more restricted emissions policy . It’s a lovely and useful vehicle

Install 215 tyres and share feedback if possible
Hi, I am going to be running on stock tyres only at least till this set wears out, as the Jimny is shod with very capable Bridgestone Duelers and they are extremely versatile plus there is a reason why the co. installed those in the first place! Fortunately, there are a ton of "Jimnys with 215 tyres" videos on YT . Thanks and Cheers 👍
Honestly, I feel the mileage is less for highway, considering the power figures are also very tamed.
Tame by 4x4 standards yea
I do hope that you watched the full video, there were two KPL numbers and 30% apart, please watch at 10:12 for the second number, cheers.
I almost didn’t watch as there wasn’t an unnecessary arrow in the thumbnail
I am very glad you did, hope you enjoyed it too 😊. Thank you 👍🏽
11.6kmpl doesn’t seem to be good. Jimny needs a better gearbox

Some you tubers saying Jimny is bad

Its 13 kms to a liter of petrol or 6.9L/100 km. We measure it differently here in kms to liter. Hope this makes sense now 😬
13 liters/100km ? for a small suv that’s shitty on gas…absolutely Garbage 🤦♂️

It’s not the most frugal car but I don’t think that an FE of 14.5 Km per liter or 6.9 liter to a 100 km can be called a disaster esp. since it’s a true blue suv!

Not really! Test drive it and it will change your mind - it’s a sweet and capable setup, I love it!
Sir how its 4x4 ??
It’s the best available in the market in this segment…miles ahead of “competition”.
