I am retired and living in West Texas. I moved here a year ago and literally do not know a single lady who quilts. I am a cancer patient and have to avoid going out as much as possible so I really look forward to your videos. You are a great teacher and inspire me to keep on going on. Thank you so much for your expertise and your instructional videos. They mean so much to me
Judy, many prayers to you and your recovery! Quilting is sooo much fun, but it is also GREAT therapy for the mind and soul. Keep stitching, Girl! It helped me immensely 24 years ago when I experienced a broken neck and spinal cord injury and my husband died. Yep! Quilting got me through. And, I made a lot of new friends (I joined a Quilting Guild); it opened doors I never knew existed. I'm now preparing to write my first quilt book. Who knew!!! Many blessings & Godspeed to you. Lindsay, Sacramento, CA (an artist turned quilter) ❤
P.S. if you want too, there are many online quilt guilds you can join. And, there are may fabulous Guilds in Texas! Texas is full of many talented Quilters. The great thing about Guilds, you can be a beginner quilter, or advanced; and quilters are lovely people that love to share their knowledge.
I believe I watched every tutorial with my mom in the last months of her life. She enjoyed watching, and it was one of the few things that would keep her settled even though it has been years since she quilted. Thanks for posting them Donna - they were helpful on so many levels.
Donna, one of the things I appreciate about your teaching is that you use very few tools to do your measuring and cutting. You use the regular tools everyone needs and not any more. I have lots of tools but I appreciate that you don't try to sell gobs of tools for people who maybe can't afford lots of tools. Thank you. I love how you teach.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve messed up my rows picking up the row in a pile. Never thought to go from right to left then flip. Perfect sense. Every video of yours I learn something new. Thank you for sharing your skills.
BEAUTIFUL! You have no idea how I await your weekly tutorials. I call it my mental rehab🤣 Nonetheless, I LOVE watching your tutorials & your sharing your creativity 🥰 THANK YOU♥️♥️♥️
My day doesn’t really get underway here in Devon UK until I have had a coffee and watched your video. It is like magic watching how the patterns develop. I don’t have much space to make a big quilt but my smaller projects I have noticed are becoming more accurate with your teaching tips. Thank you.
Donna, did you realize you hold the degree of social worker??!!! I can be having a bad day, feeling bad etc, turn on your videos and it all seems to melt away. Thank you so much Donna for showing your caring, loving self that shows through your videos!! ❤️❤️
When I first saw the quilt I thought very pretty but looks like so much work. Wrong! It's something I want to make. The way you explained everything was amazing! Thanks Donna!
If I’m ever half as good as your are one day I would be so happy. I absolutely love your videos and I always learn something new. Thank you for sharing.
I missed this video - how on earth that happened i do not know. 🙂 but so impressed as to how it all came together. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Your enthusiasm is real catchy.
Hello Donna an family! Thank you for this new wonderful tutorial! Yoy are a wondeful teacher, Donna, making this old girl (74) to beleeve, that I can do it!! I just love it!😍
Dear Donna, thank you from all my heart for your video, it is the light for me, in this awful time. I am from Ukraine, and now when it is war, and we have left our home and hide from air attack, your voice is so native and I believe that someday we will back to our home in Chernihiv and I will finish my quilt.
Donna, you are right it is a happy quilt. Just beautiful with your color choices. Every time I watch one of your Quilt Tutorials I learned something new. Thank you for being such a great teacher.
I really like this one a lot. I need to make it for me an my husband after I make a few other quilts first. Let's see....... I have 4 quilts for wedding gifts and also a quilt for a new baby. And then this one for our own home! Thank you so much, Donna. I have learned a LOT from you!
I love watching you videos. I have been binge watching them starting at the beginning, except when a new one posts. I have enjoyed watching your expansion. A visit to your shop is on my bucket list ( coming from PA!). Thank you for all the valuable lessons, encouragement, and tips you always provide, not to mention the patterns. God bless you.
Hi Donna! I look forward to your videos. This quilt was exceptional!! I’ll get on the band wagon too..you are an excellent teacher. Straight forward, easy to watch, hear, understand and go away feeling inspired.
I love the quilt. It reminds me of brighter days. Needless to said, beautifully done as usual. I love the giveaway quilt. My favorite colors. I think I've watched that video 3 or 4 times just because. Everyone keep smiling and have a wonderful week.
I’m generally not much drawn to scrappy quilts but this one takes my breath away. It is, indeed, a happy quilt. I think the block size is a real design element here. Smaller blocks wouldn’t have the same impact. I appreciated that the background music was very low and was turned off during the explanations so it wasn’t distracting. Thank you. Donna, it’s always a delight to watch you, no matter what you’re doing.
Donna, I really just want to be able to come to your shop and hang out and quilt and absorb your TONS of knowledge! I learn something from every video you do, Thank You!
Thanks for another great tutorial. I love the pattern and the color choices. I wish I could create a quilt as fast as you do and with such precision. I would love to make this quilt; maybe one day. My list keeps getting longer, I just have to improve my skills since I'm still considered a beginner. Thank you for the motivation. I watch your videos over and over. We appreciate you and your family so much.
Just wondering - where is the most distant or most exotic place you have sent a quilt to the Giveaway winner? This Tidal Crossing quilt is delightful - love the diagonal lines, the good size and the ease with which it seemed to go together! Adding it to the list!!
Love those chrome nails!! I watch for the great simple quilting instructions you give but I’m watching for nail inspiration too. Nail art is my other obsession!

Hi Donna! i had so much fun watching you create the beautiful Tidal Crossing quilt. You are an exceptional teacher. Thank you for taking the time to make the entire construction of the quilt so comprehensible.
