    Who else is here because you have learned that most people who suffer greatly with COVID are Vit. D deficient? I'm amazed at what we are NOT being told without having to do some serious research! Great video. Thank you!

      You can blame your Doctor for the lack of information. They NEVER focus on root causes only administering drugs for which they receive kickbacks.

      @@fredost1504 Many Healthcare practitioners, MD, DC, OD, NP, PA, APRN even Nutritionists post a wealth of info on Blogs, Websites, TH-cam, other Social Media platforms and even appear in Health segments of the news & daytime TV talk shows. *_The information is out there_* and all over the Internet & Social Media for those who are *_"proactive in their own Health & Wellbeing"_* and don't wait to be told.
      The Doctors who do provide info on supplements that benefit immune system like Vit-D; especially now during Covid, are outnumbered by those who don't. *It's not 'part' of their Protocol or License to treat patients, like Naturopathic Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nutritionists* _...etc._ *are free to do.* A lot of them don't discuss this, but some do. I've come across plenty like my Ophthalmologist who recommends _Selenium, Vit-D, B-Complex, Magnesium & Calcium supplements_ to his Patients with certain Eye Diseases as part of his Consultation before he begins conventional treatment. *_A few Doctors I've worked with jot down Natural Supplements for their patients to take_* along with a Healthier Diet of Veggies, Fruits, Anti-oxidants, Omega Fatty acid, and Healthy Fats. The *_old school Doctors_** back in the day* _(30yrs ago) _*_had Nutritionists in their Clinic/Facility to consult patients or they Referred patients out to a Nutritionist as part of preventive healthcare & Treatment_* to work on a Healthy Diet & taking Natural Supplements.

    Just so everyone knows that the ideal range is between 60-80ng/ml of Vit d. Most function is sufficient at 30 but if you want the best performance then 60-80 should be your target. Taken with Vit k and ideally through as much natural sources (light and food) as possible

    Ironically, I just received a bottle of your D3 5,000 + K today from Amazon. After doing so much COVID research and looking back at my blood test results from May with my D level at 28 (and post menopausal), I now know why I bruise like a peach, bleed excessively with a tiny cut, sweat profusely with minimal exertion, have achy bones (fibromyalgia), constant muscle spasms, excessive hair loss and lethargy! I am so excited to begin taking this. Suggestion: Please do a video on dosage related to BMI. I will be taking 2 per day until my upcoming blood test. Can't wait to see and feel the results!

      Your taking regular vitamin k. Not k1 or k2. What does regular vitamin k do

    • @castricv
      @castricv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need k2 to take off the edge so to speak of the excess D. A little copper and magnesium from either a mutli abd bananas or on their own help too. D on its own can cause problems if done in excess or if you have blood heart issues. K takes the calcium where it needs to go, not lining your arteries.

      @@castricv There are several Healthcare practitioners MD, DC, OD even Nutritionists on youtube and internet who inform the public on Vitamin D & Vitamin K2; especially during the Covid Pandamic. The information is there for those who are proactive in their own Health & wellbeing and do not wait to be told.

    So why don't we see the AMA and FDA on the forefront of these issues in the subclinical aging conditions. I'm paying for a lot of these science based supplements with aftertax money and no insurance coverage while the opioid epidemic was insurance funded. Hello?

    Is it OK to take vitamins K & D together? Or do they compete?

    • @MetagenicsInstitute
      @MetagenicsInstitute  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not a reported interaction or competition. Some refer to vitamins D & K as a Dynamic Duo. In the diet nutrients interact often interdependently, act as cofactors in metabolic pathways. Studies show that these two vitamins are synergistic and the combination may improve patient outcomes. Of course, it is not required to be in the same pill - good adequacy of both in the diet (vitamin K) and in lifestyle (prudent sun exposure, vitamin D), but a number of integrative medicine experts are suggesting this supplement combination particularly helpful.

      @@PatriotWoman nutrikey.net/products/vitamin-d3-with-k2-liquid-1-oz This was recommended by a nutritionist. I like it because I can control the dose. Because after getting 1000ius from my multivitamin, I don’t need 5000 more, for me personally anyways.

    • @PatriotWoman
      @PatriotWoman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@el290 I know this video is a bit long, but I was absolutely glued to it because of how well this Doctor puts these charts and data into such layman's terms. So before you say that you don't need "as much" D, I strongly urge you to watch this. Also take into consideration your age, BMI, where you live (geography) AND COVID. Because of those factors, I am taking 12,000 (yes, thousand) iu's probably at least through winter and some weight loss. But I love this information about the added K2-7. th-cam.com/video/ha2mLz-Xdpg/w-d-xo.html

    • @PatriotWoman
      @PatriotWoman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And it doesn't hurt to get your level checked a couple times a year. As I stated above, my D level was only 28 before I began taking just the extra D3. Your level should be between 30-100 with >60 being optimal, so I was less than HALF the optimal level just taking a multi-vitamin and Calcium with D3 (= 1,300 iu's daily). Most Doctors are telling people that you really should be taking 4-5,000 iu's per day depending on your BMI & geographical location and season (i.e. sun exposure) then check your levels.

    • @el290
      @el290 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PatriotWoman I’m 34, 5’7, 145lbs. I don’t need more than 5,000 per day. For me consistently taking something like 10,000 could lead to toxicity. I don’t need that much. Hopefully you’re getting your levels checked with your PCP(if they themselves didn’t recommend that dose for you) if you’re taking that much
