I’ve been taking Vitamin D3 and K2 for about 2 years now . I do up my D3 intake in winter . The sun sets up here at 4:30 pm right now .
It took about 6 months before my arthritis pain went away . I never had a calcified artery . My mom did, she also had osteoporosis . But yet her doctor kept insisting she take calcium supplements . Never mentioned a thing about K2 at all . Also, she never mentioned to purchase natural vitamins . My mom was taking synthetic vitamins . Plus she was on so many meds ! Doctors need to start being held accountable for what they are recommending . I will never step foot in a doctors office again, even if I’m dying .

I stopped taking Calcium supplement in May 2022 when calcification was found in my coronary arteries. Also I was .2 from Osteoporosis. In May 2022, I also stopped anything that had calcium added and started taking Mk7;vitamin D;Magnesium together daily. As of 05.10.2024, my T-score went from a -2.3 to a negative -1.5. I used to suffer jaw discomfort I associated with grinding and TMJ. It occurred to me recently that I haven't been suffering that discomfort. I suspect adjusting my diet has actually addressed that. It could be K2 or some of many other improvements I've made (such as magnesium, which I do know helped my chronic pain from degenerative disc disease, even before I changed my eating to low-carb.)

Wow that's great 👏. I take all those and I have degenerative disc disease and have been taking magnesium for years and I've recently been told I grind my teeth by the dentist and they say I have TMJ and I still have pain...in fact I have to have surgery 😢.
May I ask what dose you take of these I thought I was taking what Dr. Berg recommended for the magnesium and K2 but I know I need more of D3 because my doctor wrote a script for 50,000iu because stores don't carry that dose & of course my insurance wouldn't cover it said I could get it otc 🤦‍♀️ yes but not that dose that my Dr says I need ugh.
These companies make us jump through too many hoops and especially when they're some doctors who truly do want to help us.

    • @ZxAMobile
      @ZxAMobile 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Anybody that claims you need 20 times the amount every day that you could ever get from Natural Foods is a lunatic and I wouldn't listen to their advice avoid as many supplements as you can get all your nutrients from Whole Foods and stop listening to these Psychopaths who say you need 50x the amount that you could ever get from Foods it is sheer nonsense the human body didn't evolve to need insane amounts of certain nutrients that are impossible to find unless you synthesize them in a laboratory.

He is advising what is in his own product. Of course he wouldn’t recommend above what his d3/k2 supplement has as it would be a knock on his own brand. 100mcg for 10,000 IU is much lower than anything I’ve seen before.

    • @SamarArons

@@Booze2407 Thanks. Although I read 180 mcg K2mk7 per day is even enough if you do a cure of a couple of months with D3 in super high doses of 80'000 to 100'000 per day. I just don't understand how dr. Berg would come up with 4500 mcg of K2. I think he misspoke and confused it with D3 doses.

Dr Berg, you did not mention anything about contradictions of taking vitamin K2 MK7 while on blood thinners like warfarin and aspirin. What I read is warfarin and aspirin thin the blood while K2 MK7 thickens it. I am on aspirin and keen to take K2 MK7, please share your thoughts.

This is not true. The reality: cortisol hormone is the opposite hormone to vitamin D. Cortisol hormone blocks calcium absorption and bone building.
Vitamin D toxicity is simple the interplay of vitamin D and cortisol. The real role of cortisol is to keep retinol level in the blood when liver can't do that because brain need more retinol (ACTH is retinol sensitive). But vitamin D is the opposite hormone so cortisol level must go higher than vitamin D level otherwise vitamin D neutralize cortisol.
And PTH will be activated and destroy a huge amount of bone spiking the calcium blood level (2x more calcium from bones than phosphate; treatment is giving biphosphanate).
Fat tissues are not energy stores they collect retinol and send back. The organ covered by fat tissue is suffering from retinol deficiency. Btw retinol deficiency means energy deficiency.
so shortly: vitamin D toxicity => vitamin A deficiency in the liver (and not in the blood). And vitamin A toxicity is calcium deficiency so it is vitamin D deficiency.
We can say infact vitamin D and vitamin A go together instead of K2.
I think in fact calcium is the most important element and fat soluble vitamins help to use calcium (D, E, K, A). (vitamin E has anti inflamatory effect)

By taking your K2 and D3 with animal fat at bedtime, along with your magnesium glycinate, as someone who suffered from chronic insomnia for over 16 years, I've been sleeping so much better! I'm actually able to fall asleep without having to wait until I'm nearly delirious with exhaustion, on top of that I've been able to roll over and fall back asleep. Something that was impossible for me!

I continued to take the K2 but the itchiness was worse at night and I realized it was after dinner when I took the K2. I was also getting dizzy spells. I stopped taking the supplement and it took 3 weeks for the hives and dizziness to go away. Reading about possible side effects, I came across my symptoms. I really want to take it again for the benefits but am afraid I’m allergic to it.

@@nighthawkde4522 How much to take is always the question along with how much is absorbed. Does the supplement you are taking actually have the stated amount or too much or too little. Are you reacting to something else in the supplement. I have read a lot of reviews on different brands of vitamins and it is not uncommon for people to have bad reactions. But determining exactly why is nearly impossible. All you can do is stop the supplement. If you think it's from a binding or filler agent try to find the purest form in another brand by a small amount and try again. I take K2 m7 but I do not supplement it every day. I do not really want every last bit of calcium removed from my blood. But without constant bloodwork how would we even know?
