  • Vitamin K2 is the most vital vitamin you haven't heard much about. It is required for the proper formation of 100s of molecules and cells in your body, and for the proper storage/use of calcium. This video will tell you where to find it in your diet so your health can benefit.
Vitamin D is very important to overall health, but Vitamin D needs its buddy, Vitamin K2 to perform all its jobs optimally. Add the foods I talk about in this video to your diet and watch your health improve.

@Vincent Venturella ??? "....Proven Twice..." What on Earth would you be referring to? Dr. Berry is citing relevant research on the topic for us to check out and draw our own conclusions. I've looked at some of the studies he's cited in the past and have found that he's NOT making huge, illogical leaps, nor, in any way, misrepresenting information. BTW, I also looked you up. I'm concerned that a psychiatrist with 25 years of experience is using a generic template and a generic description of psychiatry/psychiatrist to describe your experience. It doesn't seem right to me. I do hope that Dr. Berry reports your threat to You Tube.

Eliquis works differently. It does not block Vit K. Some people are not able to use the newer anticoagulants due to various reason (long subject and I spend hours talking with people in clinic regarding their personal situation and health). Anticoagulation and the appropriate need for it is a very big discussion. It is needed for certain people and the risks and benefits always have to be weighed. I see first hand how fragile tissue becomes when someone is Vit K deficient. No one should stop taking their anticoagulant though without talking to their doctor. It's a complex subject. Listen to Dr. Berry about reducing inflammation so that hopefully you don't have to take an anticoagulant in the future.

K2 MK-4 is available in meat and cheeses as discussed in video. K2 MK-7 is only available in fermented soybeans (natto). The MK-7 form of vitamin K2 is most effective for reducing calcium buildup in the arteries. The reason why natto has large amounts of K2 MK-7 is due to the soybean fermenter bacillus subtilis.

I have a question I wonder if you know the answer to: Is the K2 MK-4 in egg yolks diminished or reduced by cooking that egg yolk? Example: comparing the K2 nutrient content of raw egg yolk (pastured eggs, where the hens can forage, of course) versus a "soft boiled egg" cooked egg yolk (from the same type of eggs), does the cooking process destroy any of the nutrients? Including the desirable Vit. K2 that is naturally found in it?

Hi doctor can you please tell me what I should do I have low testosterone well low end of normal I need to lose 50-60 pounds and I have seborrheic dermatitis it itches around the brows in the ears and my scalp but the worst part is how dry and brittle my hair has become I’m losing some hair as well. My hair is not healthy anymore and I can’t wash it as often because when I do it feels less dense and not getting the natural oils can I cure this? It could be leaky gut but someone said it could be a zinc or fatty acid deficiency please let me know I’m in keto and it hasn’t fixed it please help it also feels like something is under my scalp almost like a fungus. What’s weird is now like when I shower I have more dead skin that I wipe off and it is like dark and I can run it continuously off and sometimes it’s even on my face like rolls of dead skin I can wipe off...

About homemade natto: yo can make it by using lentils or garbanzo beans so that you don't have to eat soy beans. In fact most of the commercial pills are made from garbanzo bean natto, for allergenic reasons.

Wondering if can elaborate on how's do we know if our body is capable of covering vitamin K1 to K2? As a life long vegetarian there are no items on the list that are vegetarian sand contain K2. Thanks

Natto is vegetarian. The Dr was mistaken when he said it's not. Both soy and garbanzo bean natto are good sources for vitamin K2 MK7. Properly fermented cabbage is another source, though not as good as natto.

Have learned to take a moment to feel / listen to my body as to what it wants to eat before preparing a meal. Consequently when I do eat, I feel a hunger for what is on my plate, a sense that my whole body is saying yes to the food, not just my mouth. Eggs are often the one.

    • @termikesmike

I think you're correct - good eggs have it all ....
Try eggs for week and let the spirit/body give u the appetite u need.
There used to be 'seasons', and our diets were 'limited' - today food from everywhere - yet we likely should be eating food from our 'region' (50 miles away) - but eggs are everywhere all the time ! add a little natty to the olive oil ....

Best food and natural sources for vitamin K2 :
(some people cannot convert K1 found in veggies to K2).
-Liver (of any animal) All animals should be grass fed grass finished and not treated with antibiotics or any other artificial substance.
-Yolk of any free range pastured chickens eggs
-Beef especially fatty cuts (grass fed grass finished cows)
-Chicken with the skin (free range pasture chickens)
-Real fermented cheeses. (from real milk with enzymes and salt, no other additions or artificial ingredients)
-Pork any part, also the derived foods such as bacon, pepperoni, sausages, etc (grass fed grass finished)
    -Properly fermented soy beans
It is always preferable to get your K2 from natural sources cited up-above rather than supplements.

    • @GpD79
      @GpD79 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Except Natto is the best source of K2, and it comes from a plant. Fermented soybeans (natto) and vegetables (sauerkraut) are good sources. Natto is hands down the best and beats any animal source.
