i like the looks of them but $71000 is redickulos
Very thorough and detailed video for this model Ben. Very nice and awesome features in this hybrid Wrangler.
Just picked up my 2024 4xe rubicon. Got a sick deal on it too got it down to 53k. Love it so much.
same man my got delivered yesterday ✌
How did you get the price low?
I passed on buying one. I'm happy with my 2021 3.6L. They're nice. We have the Pinnacle hybrid (brand new). That's good enough for now.
GOOD LUCK with that mileage. I have a 2023 with 2300 miles and I MIGHT get 25 ACTUAL mpg with charging it every day and driving 26 miles to work. Without charge I was getting 18.3ish MPG. My electric bill charging at home tripled with average charging was $5 ish...a DAY. It takes 2.5 hrs to charge on level 2 and over 12 hours on Level 1 charging. It's super evolved and I have 100% buyers remorse with a 2023 Jeep Rubicon 4XE...I'm super not a lot has changed.
Thanks for sharing. I’d think the Toyota hybrid with no plug in a better solution. But this is a big wrangler not really suitable for hybrid.
My wife got one and I fought to break the lease. The truck SUCKS. So many issues
@@edgraziani5019what kind of issues did you guys have with the 4xe? Was thinking about getting one but might hold off
@@hernandez5586 it’s a laundry list of issues. We got it in October of 23 and I got rid of it after 3 months. First, it’s my wife’s truck and she drive round trip 4 miles for her job. The truck goes into FORM (fuel oil refresh mode) 5 times in 3 months and takes around 1.5-2 hours for it to get out of it. You can’t drive in hybrid or full electric when this happens. The infotainment system died after 2 weeks. The blue tooth doesn’t work correctly, the memory seats reset about once a week. The seats also move on their own when the car is off and the front seats will lay all the way down flat on their own. They tried so many “updates” nothing helped and finally when they said it was fixed, I drove it off the dealership lot and the seats moved as I was driving. I turned around and brought it back and I broke the lease that day. I had to pay 6500 because the truck loses so much value that the appraisal for the dealership left that much of a gap…. These dealerships have SO MANY 4xe’s because they suck so hard. I’m so happy it’s out of my driveway. It was also so cheaply made. The inside is all plastic and cheap piano black finishes. For 72K it’s a pile of cheap crap.
I have 2024 Rubicon 4xe, it's horrible with gas mileage I am currently ruining 17.5 per mile %80 highway, I gave up charging everyday ,Also very loud engine. I hope I can trade in it with minimum damage.
What are the changes of the 4xe engine from previous models is it more fuel efficient ? Does it use a true hybrid mode ?
9:42 If I'm paying that much they better give my ass power seats lol
Our Rubicon 4xe does not have power seats, and we don't miss them at all. Different priorities for different folks. 17 kWh battery energy capacity is well suited to powering devices such as computers and transceivers for good long periods and at high power levels, even without starting up the gas engine which is always there when you want it.
The wheels and lift/height looks similar to the new 2024 Willys setup, is that right?
I agree, 35" all-terrain tires from the factory (Jeep) would be Super. 💯 %
What is your height? As Im watching you drive and the POV is great not sure where your camera is situated.
Great review thanks
I agree! I was very close to placing an order for a 4xe but wished they offered the 35in tire package on the Rubicon X version.
Yeah just picked up this same model 3 weeks ago. Bummed it came with 33s but not end of the world. When the factory tires wear out, I’ll just put 35s on. Seems like with this trim you don’t need a lift to fit 35s.
I just ordered the Rubicon X but I agree. As soon as I get delivery it goes to the shop for a 3.5" lift and 37" tires.
Ben you need to mention the water fording on ur Jeep reviews each Jeep varies fro 30inchs and up its on the tailgate plate in the inside of the tailgate. Always love ur reviews but hate when u don’t ever mention this.
Didn't it come with a Power Box (for AC outlets from the charge port) --in the rear compartment perhaps?
Mine did that i just picked up last month
Love the 4xe!
That new Jeep was amazing and electric.
Picking up our hybrid tomorrow.
Wait til the battery goes out. Fuck those jeeps
😮I got a 4xe rubi and I love it. The extra weight from the battery and extra power from the hybrid motor make it the bomb. I bought through a car broker. I got 37s on 20s with mopar 4xe lift for 58k otd.
how many rebates did you use?
Same here, and the new (for 2024 model) factory-installed WARN winch is great, as is the new included Power Box auxiliary outlets. The Power Box outlets can output up to 120V * 30A ~ 3600 Watts. May not be integrated as well as Ford Pro Power Onboard outlets, but Power Box is a nice new feature. Keep up the good work, my colleagues at Stellantis/Jeep engineering, it was great working with you in Michigan at your excellent ADAS Highway test facility in Chelsea Michigan!
@LuisRodriguez-vk2ym the broker got 10% off then 7500 off and that's it.
@CrumResearch I like the 24's nav system much bigger and better than my 8.4.
It is easier to fool people than it is to convince them they have been fooled
I like jeeps yet I also like economical!
NO STANDARD 35 ON 4XE - It is already difficult to get into this Jeep, if 35 is available on the 4xe it should be an option. 👀
So why can’t they do the 4xe with the gladiator ?
Just saw an ad they are leasing the Willy’s version for 259 with 4k due at signing, roughly 400/mo sign and drive. Wow
35's are on the 4xe High Altitude model
That’s extreme recon package
Hey buddy, I’m in a confusion .
I need to choose between 2023 rubicon 4xe or 2024 rubicon 4xe .
I can afford the 2023 4xe 10000 $ less than the 2024
Which will be a good choice?
I would wait till jan, feb 2024 and get the 2024 model with same discounts offered on them.
I'd get the 2024, a lot of upgrades including side curtain airbags, larger display, stop and go cruise control with crash mitigation, etc
Tow capacity? I want a camper
That gauge cluster is infinitely better than bronco.
You need a DB meter if you're going to talk about the sound levels!
I had no idea there were vehicles that you put gas in and electric that you had to plug in together. I thought it was one or the other
They're called Hybrids... they've been fairly common since the Prius came along in 2010. Learn a new thing every day 🙂
@@rockawaydatasystems4294Prius been on the market way before 2010!
the 2 door Rubicon X doesnt come with 35s.
We leased a Rubicon 4xe here in northern Utah, so we'll get the latest and greatest in 2025, worth it in this case of new & interesting electrified vehicles -- Meanwhile the stock Rubicon has been great off road including the tires and sway bar disconnect and all, for example on the Fins & Things trail in Moab. A Starlink satellite antenna mounted on a cargo carrier on the back is a perfect match, for serious Internet connectivity for work wherever you have a good view of the sky, and surprisingly good even in motion with tall trees lining the road such as on mountain roads in Oregon.
I still wonder why car dash cam is not standard on every car 😅
I'd rather just have the regular non-hybrid version of this vehicle with the V6 engine.
To manufacture each EV battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper Diging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust For just - one - battery.
Where is this information at?
@@LuisRamos84 his source is: Trust me bro
I’m not getting 20 miles on my X .. may trade it in for a 392…. I’ll even take a leftover 2023 .
Was this equipped with the power box?
Yeah it is. I have this exact model and it came with the power box
Huge Jeep fan, own two jeeps currently, but $71k? Is Jeep trying to position themselves as a premium brand? I guess I’ll drive my pentastar 3.6s and continue to burn dinosaur bones
It satisfies government mandates and that's why Jeep is doing it. Not because it's so great.
That spec should be no more than 55-58k
Just go get yourself an IONIQ 5. You're getting an all terrain vehicle with an hybrid powertrain, new tech. Hybrid X3 starts around 60k js
@@Helixur no one asked you
So in three years, no improvements in electric capacity or range? WOW!!!
Considering 2023s with sub 10k miles are going for 40-45k, it would be quite silly to spend 20k more to get a 2024.
Night as well go buy a g550 lol
No heads up display smh
2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Rubicon 4XE!
35” tires are an option on the Rubicon X, but not on the Rubicon X 4xe.
$71k is 392 territory
I think you get $7500 back from uncle Sam on a 4xe. However, I just can't justify the price of a Rubicon in general. Really want one, but it seems like they're at least 10-15k overpriced.
Correct you can get up 9k off depends where you buy. You also will get some dealerships trip tryin to add 10k over smh they tried me when I was getting mines
@@Helixurhow much did u get yours for?
@@JO3haNsum about 69k after rebates mil discount and carb states discount
On the jeep website with all the incentives, a $65k rubicon 4xe build leases for 575 no money down.
The prices they are asking is junkyard cars for luxury car prices
Jeep give us 35s! :^)
71k is ridiculous
Awful purchase. I've had my brand new 4xe for less than a year and 8500 miles. Had to take it to the dealer for a check engine light. They told me it's a transmission problem and that it would take a week to fix. It's now been over two weeks and the most recent update was that they can't get a hold of the parts... No time frame for when I can expect my car back. I do not recommend the 4xe
Electric driving range is 22 miles ?? Did i hear that right WOW
Yes that is correct 20 miles !
This is a SCAM because they sell it as a Jeep. But this is a cosmically complicated vehicle. With billions of things to break. So if you purchase better have a warranty!!
@@andyavery96 exactly, I broke my wife’s lease after 3 months. This vehicle had so many weird issues. After being in service for the 5th time in 3 months, I just wanted to be out of it.
You will use gas at some point the engine will make that happen for several reasons so please make sure you tell poeple that as you said your friends never use gas ,not happening
Exactly! This truck goes into FORM all the time. My wife drives it and we had complete buyers remorse. This vehicle was more than her Jaguar F Pace and it’s such a pile of trash. We broke the lease after 3 months
Still like a regular Rubicon rather the hybrid Version of a wrangler, Wrangler is going to be a block of cheese
270HP not 370
The cheap electrical system can’t handle 35s ……..
Unless you live on a massively high mountain regen is completely useless
$71k....😂
22 miles on battery isn't worth it.
$71K????? NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!!
$71K is a freaking joke….seriously!
Get rid of the lame blue recovery points and virtue signaling "4Xe" markings. For the cost it appears to only be electric because of mandates by government. Not practicality.
Lol, I don't want to buy Jeep Wrangler anymore..
I can’t imagine this is reliable at all. Jeep in general sucks ass
I hate this car we have one don’t recommend it’s shit
Really, i'm looking at leasing one. Why do you hate it?
@@DJKadilac first of all issues with the stupid screen glitches out second gas on highway is ass Third battery gets you 21 miles till it dies engine is loud for no reason and tbh your better off with a bronco because they’re better at gas and don’t have issues like these jeeps and the battery takes more than a day to fully charge
@@ajvargas834 yes, just broke my wife’s lease! I had so many issues with mine too! Weird electrical issues, 5 times in service within 3 months. I told them to get me out of it. I had to pay 6k to get out because the truck doesn’t hold value at all.
@@DJKadilac don’t do it! I broke my wife’s lease after 3 months
@@edgraziani5019 no way😂I hate this car so much
These fuckin suck. Nothing but problems with ours .
