Leasing a 2024 Willys 4xe has worked out for me! I think the final number is based on what incentives are available in your area, but I ended up with about $15k off the MSRP with all the rebates, incentives, and lease discounts. Also saved even more with a nice dealer discount! It's been a great vehicle so far. My plan is to drive it for a while and if I still like it, will buy out the lease.
Yeah, the caveat is that some locales will have more incentives over the basic federal rebate/credit - but everyone I've talked to has done as well as my theoretical pricing exercise or better, as you did. Glad you're enjoying yours! Is the buyout a decent price?
@@OutMotorsportsit likely is not. I just went through a renewal this month and considered the buyout. I had an employee discount and even with that, while the residual value was fair, the rates were not (despite excellent credit). To buyout my 21 gladiator Willy’s was $815/mo and a new gladiator rubicon lease was $805/mo with tier one. I currently pay $450/mo for my 21 gladiator Willy’s lease. The problem is still the rates no matter what you buy, 4xe or not. Also, prices on the RAMs went up 19% and 17% on jeeps versus the year before. Incentives, dealer discounts, and tax credits are the only thing keeping buying/leasing alive at the moment, from what I’m hearing.
@steffler69 The lease rates for regular Wrangler and 4xe significantly differ in favor of 4xe due to green incentives, even down to $350 per month. However, if you want to buy out, they recharge these incentives, which makes 4xe only a lease and leave vehicle.
@@mertersun I have never heard of anyone having to pay back the 4xe incentives because they buy out their lease. I leased mine at the end of 2023, and I'm not sure if things may have changed for 2024. But at the time, at least if you lease through CCAP, you do not need to repay the incentives to buy out. Not sure where you got that information.
@@thenumbertwo2 I don't remember it right now where I read it. But it says incentive is actually a tax rebate so If you owe less than $7500 in taxes, you need to reimburse thge difference, or something like that. I might totally get it wrong though.
Easily the most accurate and informative review of the Wrangler 4XE I've seen.
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video. One thing you didn't mention about the 2024 4xe is the power box, that let's you use your battery to power other devices (microwave, portable heater, etc) for like when you're camping. That's a great addition jeep added for this year.
Thanks! Didn't get in to the Power Box at all because (unless it was well hidden) Jeep didn't include one with this loaner vehicle. Would be nice to try it out at some point!
@@OutMotorsports That's one thing I was really hoping they'd do.. Perfect for an overlanding vehicle. Hoping they also do the same thing with the Grand Cherokee 4xe.
I believe only Sahara, Rubicon and higher trims include a power box. When the power box was first announced, Jeep said it would be included with all 2024 Wrangler 4xe models. I have a 2024 Willys 4xe and unfortunately it doesn't include a power box. I don't think one will work with it either because it lacks a bi-directional charging port, or something along those lines.
Picked up a new 24 Rubi loaded including the sky one touch. I live in the North East and it’s been fantastic. They gave me $15+ off sticker and a great discount on accessories. Mpg has been solid and the included charger works perfectly over night
Nice review. New 4xe owner here (coincidently, the Willy's trim). Why I chose it: I'm tall, and wanted a convertible. The only cars that I could fit in was the Wrangler and the Bronco. It was the e-power that sold me on the Wrangler. I have always bought my cars, but this one I signed a three-year lease because I did not know the reliability of the whole system. It comes with a 3 year B to B warranty, and I signed a three year lease (just under $700/mo), so I should be protected from any trouble. I really do like it, and can't wait for the weather to warm up (Ohio) to take off the roof panels and enjoy the outdoors (probably not any off-road planned).
Congrats! Totally heard on being tall and wanting a droptop, it's hard unless you get some of the (expensive) German options. Wrangler is hard to beat in this case! Enjoy!
4XE is not a city car at all. It needs to be on the highway or it will go into FORM and electrical becomes unavailable. Cold weather can stop the electrical from working as well. I have one.
Pronounced Williss, not Willies. Very cool, 4 xe is my next vehicle, wish it had 40 mile ev range though...
Thanks!
I was going to comment on that very pronunciation. Even the family members say it's pronounced that way. SMH
Removing the antenna to put it in the glass is a stupid idea, it's a brick and even with the gorilla glass option it's going to require a replacement and it's not going to be cheap..
Also Uconnect4 was in multiple class action lawsuits due to it having no fix, it would brick every year or two with failed gps, or failed hvac controls, or failed reverse camera, and as such it would need a total replacement, but there was never a fix released for it..
3 anni di wrangler 4xe mai avuto questi problemi
You can latch electric mode so it will start in Electric mode.
My 2021 4xe range varies 21-27 miles
Yeah, real world range will vary based on location, how you drive, temperature, etc.
pesa 380 kg piu di un normale wrangler ma il 2 porte non il 4 porte 😕 grazie
The 2024 Willys is 4.10 gears, not 3.72.
Transfer case is not ruby geared. Moron.
Hybrid no if a normal driver. Me yes, it would just be a commuter to
grocery and walmart, maybe 5 miles
Never put money down on a lease. In case the car is wrecked then you won't lose a downpayment
Yep, personally the only way I'd lease is with $0 down. You're only buying down the monthly rate, anyway.
