Hey dude my 1060 cannot launch any games or applications. I have reinstalled windows also and drivers are latest. Some games give error as 3d rendering can't be started and they crash. Some apps say that this application was blocked from using GPU. What to do ?
I haven't run into this problem yet but I am still scared of flashing my PNY 4090. I heard there are some instances where even if you boot with integrated graphics you still can't flash back.

I was able to fix it in windows just unplug graphics card, set integrated graphics in bios, put card back in and run nvflash64 commands for the backup file from cmd.
Hey I have guestion about yeston rx550 LP, I did try to update the vbios to make the vga work but instead the card is now not detected by windows anymore and atiflash can’t find it either, even in device manager it’s not visible, would this still work for this card ?

Yes. If its same model then what ever bios you use will work. But if you have 4gb model and 8gb model then for example those are not same models and have different bioses but lets say you have asus model or msi model its also not neccesarily same model. But if you have asus model x and asus model xy the difference being clock then yes it will work.
I have zotac amp! Extreme core edition gtx970 and i modded it. But after that, it just shows a little black screen when it boots and thats all. I done the dos nvflash thing, it says no nvidia display adapters found. Idk what to do.

i'm getting error "Supported EEPROM not found" when i try flashing the bios with nvflash --protectoff on windows also at windows safe mode. GPU is PH-GTX1660S-O6G. nvflash detect the display adapter using nvflash --list. if i try the same at dos booteable mode will it work?
If you are in dos and you get that then its beyond help. You need to buy a programmer and do it manually like that or replace bios chip with working one.
my system only sees the main HD and the USB as UEFI. No way to choose the "normal / non-UEFI" option at the bottom. obviously FreeDOS wont start on UEFI. Any ideas to fix?
That depends on your bios configuration. If you're on laptop and you perhaps have limited options to adjust then you might not be able to do this. I know some Lenovo and HP laptops completely lock bios and then you're simply shit out of luck. If you're on desktop then you definitely can do it, unless you have some specific OEM kind of motherboard in that case you might want to check it how to change it. I can't help you beyond that.
i bought fake gtx 750ti and made a mistake accidentally i did reflash 1050ti bios with nvflash older 2013 versions. after did that i faced interruption display on monitor. so when i tried to flash another bios on the card it says ''no NVIDIA display adapter found'' i tried newer versions after 2017 . in that case, it detect NVIDIA display adapter but it says ''Detecting GPU Failed'' when i tried on dos mode i faced same message ''no NVIDIA display adapter found'' what should i do ?

If you did everything correctly it could be that yours is bricked harder than this problem can help. You need to buy a programmer and do it directly by attaching it to the GPU BIOS.

I'm running into a bit of a problem. Latest DOS version of nvflash is so old it doesn't seem to recognise my gtx 970, whereas newer version don't seem to wanna run in dos
You need dos version to be able to run it in dos mode. It shouldn't matter what gpu you own as it doesn't work like that. If you did everything right and it doesn't show up in dos then I am afraid you need a programmer in order to fix your gpu bios issues.
i have a gtx 960 2gb gddr5 graphics card. I would like to make it into a gtx 980. I found a seller from taiwan who sells the vbios chips programmed for gtx 960, 970 980 ot 980 ti. can i order that part, remove my old chip and replace it with a new vbios chip and have a 980? or can i simply do this DOS command and reprogram the vbios on the card and have a 980 that way?
That wouldn't work because there is more to 980m than just bios chip. You have GPU die itself that has to be changed, power requirments, transistors and what not.
I have a MSI 980ti Armour 2x and flashed my GPU bios. At first I thought it was stable as I increased the voltage settings and power limit to 200%. Then I saw that the voltage was being limited and the power limit was causing problems. The overclock seemed better but then the temps rose to 91 degrees, which caused the card to down clock a lot. Right now I'm just glad I didn't brick it. I didn't save a stock bios so does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Not much I can help you. If you are in DOS mode and you get that message it means you are beyond this program help. You need a programmer and then flash the bios directly to the chip like that.
I have a question. My gpu is not listed in device manager neither in gpu-z. First i thought it was a vbios problem, but now i think my gpu might be fried. I unninstalled all graphics devices in device manager (my gpu was listed as Standard VGA Adapter before i unninstalled and gpu-z was showing a second VGA Adapter which is my gpu) and now my whole system doesn't recognize my graphics card. You need integrated graphics for this to work yes. If you plug hdmi directly in the mb then you are using intel hd graphics. It may be that you have bios set to display or read from dedicated gpu first.

I think that's a different chip that has higher voltage. You might kill that gpu but sure, try and report back. Oh now I read no igpu. I guess you cant then because you need to have display ability to see dos unless you dont mess it up and brick it.
can you please help me i have a individualized issue i bought cards off of ebay both are actually gtx770oc gigabyte cards but that show up as gtx 760 oc 4gb and one is a 2gb gtx770oc and the other is a 4gb gtx770 so i fixed the 2gb model thanks to your but the 4g one is bricked and the program said there is no nvidia device installed how to i make the computer recognize its there and how do i change the card to say the correct name gtx770 even the one i fixed still says 760

Hi, I think the latest nvflash doesn't work this way, as it doesn't have the same files and when I try to boot through the flash drive it says his cannot be done in DOS EDIT: I used the last version specified for DOS but now it tells me it cannot open bios.rom
ATM i'm away from laptop and my main pc as i'm away because of the job, so I cannot be of any real help but I'd advise you to use the version used in the video and try to follow it to the exact process otherwise I'm afraid i cannot be of more help as of now.
Hello friends, could someone help me with a question I have? I am trying to install the bios of my GTX 960 4GB Asus Strix gpu but I made the mistake of trying to update the same bios and it always happens that I do the whole process and when I press (Y) to confirm I get a screen of (nvfalsh se stopped) we will send a diagnosis or something like that, basically the program closes me and it does not let me flash the original bios and what happens is that when I open gpuz after that error, it appears without some data such as memory and bits and some things more but then I restart it and I do not have the res then I enable the gpu and everything is like this but I still feel that I am missing something since I start to experience FPS drops in games that I did not have before, furmark passes and everything is fine. Get another pc to put the original bios on the usb then go in dos and do it. If you can't get it then you need to buy a programmer and do it like that.
No. That is something to do with either dead GPU or a dead connector on your motherboard. Its not software related issue. Maybe if you try to buy a new battery and see if the problem is fixed.
It took me whole day to fix my laptop gpu after bad vbios flash. My problem was after flashing my laptop only able to switch-on for few seconds and in this period i have to flash my original backup vbios. It was like i am fighting against the time. It took me several attempts. 😂 Now I am making flashable usb for my original backup vbios. I have a question to work this method your system should support UEFI feature?
could this possibly help me even if i didnt flash the card? My card works in Windows safe mode but doesnt work in the regular mode. Plus this is/was my second card as I am usually running SLI (2x 780 Ti). I have no idea of how to get this card working again...
If it works in safe mode then the card is recognized and there is something wrong regarding software. You can use it regardless but its at your risk, if you mess up you may hard brick it.

Yes. Not 100% that it will work but you can try. When I bricked my GPU it also didn't work in Windows but it worked in DOS. Otherwise you have to reprogram it with a programmer yourself.

it's literally right there in the comment after the cd command i typed nvflash64 -4 -5 -6 bios.rom I tried so many commands and nvflash versions combinations i can't be bothered with it anymore, i flashed a modded version of my original bios and it worked, fuck it!

Whenever i put my Graphics card my screen just goes black and when i remove the Graphics card it boots up since im using an APU (A4). I tried to do the atiflash method (Bootable USB)& Command promt method. And always get "Adapter Not found Error: 0FL01" (Maybe i guess i didn't plug in my GPU? Or what? I dunno)
if you get black screen when you plug it in its because the gpu has an issue, depending on what you did with it it may vary the reason you dont get black screen if its not in is because the gpu display is obviously from apu and when you plug dedicated gpu in the default gpu switches to that one if you dont even get a post or anything with the dedicated gpu in and have a black screen then you definitely have a bios problem, again depending on what you were doing with it i cannot help you much if you only oc the gpu then you did not brick it 100%, if you tempered with bios it may depend

Well then there you go. its not there. One thing to mention. That database is the biggest there is for VBIOS so if you cannot find it there, you probably won't find it anywhere else either. Did you brick your GPU or you just want to flash a new one?
What does over riding the auto executable do? My R9 390x was flashed, then later I flashed it again on the desktop, the atiflash crashed and my card got bricked. It was flashed again on the desktop with command prompt, only see a black screen now. When I use atiflash for DOS it says this program isn't made for DOS. Not sure if there is anything I can do to change it.
You put the command that checks the bios version and flashes it. I'm not sure if it works without it as then there would be no commands. Try to use the same versions I use in the video and see if it works then. if it says its not made for dos you're probably using Windows version, there are 2 versions and one is for DOS.

Will this work if I make this USB on another computer and then use it on my bricked laptop gpu? My laptop is blank screen acer predator 17. If I can fix it myself this way I would save money. Everything else works on the laptop except the gpu because I had an unsuccessful vbios flash.

Well if you bricked your card or deleted its bios it doesn't matter where you plug it in, you won't be able to see it since its the VBIOS on the graphics card itself not on the motherboard. Secondly if you use the DOS Nvflash and still don't have the GPU detected then its beyond the capabilities of this program. You'll have to find another way, if there even is any, to fix your GPU. What did you do in the first place for the need of resorting to this video?
@@trancegotten3699 If its bricked then go for it but if it works and you only want to get better OC or something then I wouldn't try because if you hard brick it (video is soft bricked) then you will need a programmer and you won't be able to flash it with NVFlash.
if you are absolutely sure you did everything correctly then you have 2 options: your gpu is dead/bricked beyond help or you have to buy a programmer and program the bios chip yourself
If it was bricked you wouldn't be able to use it at all and Windows wouldn't even recognize it. What you have is problem with software. Maybe your drivers are wacked or something similar to that.
JustOneGuy motherboard is working. another graphics card is running. some sites say that the windows can be entered with the pins on the video card. 1-4 pin, 1-8 pin etc ... (My gpu zotac GTX650ti)
as far as i know you can boot with gpu in 2 ways only 1) using dedicated gpu 2) using integrated gpu if 1) then you have display ports that you use to plug the monitor in if 2) then you need to have a motherboard that supports integrated hd graphics and can be plugged in that display port you can't just enter the window with some pin combination, the pins are there to draw power, the reason there is more than 1 of them is because each cable is limited per voltage/amp so you need more than 1 to draw enough, i might be mistaken, but from what i understood that made no sense

Yes but this is for NVIDIA GPU's only for AMD it is not the same.

The nvflash is still relavant, the bios, try to see on comments, i used to send someone a link, otgerwise use techpowerup, they have bios collection

You need to buy programmer off ebay and do it directly on chip. No other alternative. Its beyond software help.

Are you in DOS? Then you can't do it with software anymore, you need a programmer and program the bios directly on the chip.

If you did everything correctly it could be that yours is bricked harder than this problem can help. You need to buy a programmer and do it directly by attaching it to the GPU BIOS.

I'm running into a bit of a problem. Latest DOS version of nvflash is so old it doesn't seem to recognise my gtx 970, whereas newer version don't seem to wanna run in dos
You need dos version to be able to run it in dos mode. It shouldn't matter what gpu you own as it doesn't work like that. If you did everything right and it doesn't show up in dos then I am afraid you need a programmer in order to fix your gpu bios issues.

can i order that part, remove my old chip and replace it with a new vbios chip and have a 980? or can i simply do this DOS command and reprogram the vbios on the card and have a 980 that way?
That wouldn't work because there is more to 980m than just bios chip. You have GPU die itself that has to be changed, power requirments, transistors and what not.

I have a MSI 980ti Armour 2x and flashed my GPU bios. At first I thought it was stable as I increased the voltage settings and power limit to 200%. Then I saw that the voltage was being limited and the power limit was causing problems. The overclock seemed better but then the temps rose to 91 degrees, which caused the card to down clock a lot. Right now I'm just glad I didn't brick it. I didn't save a stock bios so does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
Try to find it on internet for your model and flash back to stock. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR BIOS

Not much I can help you. If you are in DOS mode and you get that message it means you are beyond this program help. You need a programmer and then flash the bios directly to the chip like that.

I have a question. My gpu is not listed in device manager neither in gpu-z. First i thought it was a vbios problem, but now i think my gpu might be fried.
I unninstalled all graphics devices in device manager (my gpu was listed as Standard VGA Adapter before i unninstalled and gpu-z was showing a second VGA Adapter which is my gpu) and now my whole system doesn't recognize my graphics card.
I've tried flashing the vbios in DOS as the video says but i'm getting "supported eeprom not found" error.

If software doesn't find your GPU then you need to buy a programmer and flash it directly to bios chip like that.

I thought the gpu was fried because the system doesn't even recognizes my graphics card anymore, a couple of days ago i was getting 8 short beeps, i was searching and i found that it is a display memory error, so i thought maybe the memories are fried or the gpu is fried.
I can't flash it directly to the bios chip, a friend of mine told me of that possibility but i don't know anyone that can do that for me.

You need integrated graphics for this to work yes. If you plug hdmi directly in the mb then you are using intel hd graphics. It may be that you have bios set to display or read from dedicated gpu first.

There is a DOS version you have to download of the said version as there is also a Windows version.

I think that's a different chip that has higher voltage. You might kill that gpu but sure, try and report back. Oh now I read no igpu. I guess you cant then because you need to have display ability to see dos unless you dont mess it up and brick it.

Hi, I think the latest nvflash doesn't work this way, as it doesn't have the same files and when I try to boot through the flash drive it says his cannot be done in DOS
EDIT: I used the last version specified for DOS but now it tells me it cannot open bios.rom
ATM i'm away from laptop and my main pc as i'm away because of the job, so I cannot be of any real help but I'd advise you to use the version used in the video and try to follow it to the exact process otherwise I'm afraid i cannot be of more help as of now.

I am trying to install the bios of my GTX 960 4GB Asus Strix gpu but I made the mistake of trying to update the same bios and it always happens that I do the whole process and when I press (Y) to confirm I get a screen of (nvfalsh se stopped) we will send a diagnosis or something like that, basically the program closes me and it does not let me flash the original bios and what happens is that when I open gpuz after that error, it appears without some data such as memory and bits and some things more but then I restart it and I do not have the res then I enable the gpu and everything is like this but I still feel that I am missing something since I start to experience FPS drops in games that I did not have before, furmark passes and everything is fine. It happens (would it be because of wanting to install the same bios? or for the version of nvfalsh or for the windows since I have windows 8.1 single language

No. That is something to do with either dead GPU or a dead connector on your motherboard. Its not software related issue. Maybe if you try to buy a new battery and see if the problem is fixed.
It took me whole day to fix my laptop gpu after bad vbios flash.
My problem was after flashing my laptop only able to switch-on for few seconds and in this period i have to flash my original backup vbios. It was like i am fighting against the time. It took me several attempts. 😂 Now I am making flashable usb for my original backup vbios. I have a question to work this method your system should support UEFI feature?

could this possibly help me even if i didnt flash the card? My card works in Windows safe mode but doesnt work in the regular mode. Plus this is/was my second card as I am usually running SLI (2x 780 Ti). I have no idea of how to get this card working again...
If it works in safe mode then the card is recognized and there is something wrong regarding software. You can use it regardless but its at your risk, if you mess up you may hard brick it.

Yes. Not 100% that it will work but you can try. When I bricked my GPU it also didn't work in Windows but it worked in DOS.
Otherwise you have to reprogram it with a programmer yourself.

Whenever i put my Graphics card my screen just goes black and when i remove the Graphics card it boots up since im using an APU (A4). I tried to do the atiflash method (Bootable USB)& Command promt method. And always get "Adapter Not found Error: 0FL01" (Maybe i guess i didn't plug in my GPU? Or what? I dunno)
if you get black screen when you plug it in its because the gpu has an issue, depending on what you did with it it may vary
the reason you dont get black screen if its not in is because the gpu display is obviously from apu and when you plug dedicated gpu in the default gpu switches to that one
if you dont even get a post or anything with the dedicated gpu in and have a black screen then you definitely have a bios problem, again depending on what you were doing with it i cannot help you much
if you only oc the gpu then you did not brick it 100%, if you tempered with bios it may depend

Well then there you go. its not there. One thing to mention. That database is the biggest there is for VBIOS so if you cannot find it there, you probably won't find it anywhere else either. Did you brick your GPU or you just want to flash a new one?

What does over riding the auto executable do? My R9 390x was flashed, then later I flashed it again on the desktop, the atiflash crashed and my card got bricked. It was flashed again on the desktop with command prompt, only see a black screen now.
When I use atiflash for DOS it says this program isn't made for DOS. Not sure if there is anything I can do to change it.
You put the command that checks the bios version and flashes it. I'm not sure if it works without it as then there would be no commands.
Try to use the same versions I use in the video and see if it works then.

Will this work if I make this USB on another computer and then use it on my bricked laptop gpu? My laptop is blank screen acer predator 17. If I can fix it myself this way I would save money. Everything else works on the laptop except the gpu because I had an unsuccessful vbios flash.

Well if you bricked your card or deleted its bios it doesn't matter where you plug it in, you won't be able to see it since its the VBIOS on the graphics card itself not on the motherboard.
Secondly if you use the DOS Nvflash and still don't have the GPU detected then its beyond the capabilities of this program. You'll have to find another way, if there even is any, to fix your GPU.

if you are absolutely sure you did everything correctly then you have 2 options:
your gpu is dead/bricked beyond help
or
you have to buy a programmer and program the bios chip yourself

If it was bricked you wouldn't be able to use it at all and Windows wouldn't even recognize it.

JustOneGuy motherboard is working. another graphics card is running. some sites say that the windows can be entered with the pins on the video card. 1-4 pin, 1-8 pin etc ... (My gpu zotac GTX650ti)
as far as i know you can boot with gpu in 2 ways only
1) using dedicated gpu
2) using integrated gpu
if 1) then you have display ports that you use to plug the monitor in
if 2) then you need to have a motherboard that supports integrated hd graphics and can be plugged in that display port
you can't just enter the window with some pin combination, the pins are there to draw power, the reason there is more than 1 of them is because each cable is limited per voltage/amp so you need more than 1 to draw enough,
i might be mistaken, but from what i understood that made no sense
