Use distilled water to avoid mineral build up in the machine. It will last and function much longer.

Omg im currently mop less right now and so irritated with this steamer! Light use not even a year, took great care of it and it just decided to crap out mid moping! I really liked it a lot until it just stoped working foe no reason

Yes, wood or tile or laminate. Can even steam small area of carpet to remove and disinfect pet accidents
