    Awesome video Michael I went with the HKS Intercooler as well....I still need to get an upgraded Radiator.
    I went with the Takeda Intake and noticed a 9-11 degree drop in IATs over Stock.
    Currently when driving at 45 mph and above the the IAT is only 10 degrees fahrenheit higher than Outside temps

  • @weduhpeople8504

    I really think the Type R needs two things to combat heat soak. First reroute the intake away from the biggest source if heat, the turbo. If it’s rerouted below to the passenger side bumper that would solve it. If keeping the factory route, water injection will be the optimal way of cooling the intake temps. If you do both then that would be the best. Other than that an oil cooler should help too. The larger Koyo rad is also a great option. Even with the larger fmic blocking airflow to the radiator the factory fans kick on when the valve opens and turns them on when reaching specific temps.

    • @GridZilla
      @GridZilla  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ronald Batalla all great ideas. Lack of space limits what you can do with re routes and relocations. The biggest culprit is how inefficient the factory turbo is. There are aftermarket solutions but none that are currently “affordable”

    Glad to see you go with koyorad radiator and PRL intake. I still have the mishimoto intercooler and charge pipes. You definitely will love the koyorad radiator. Itll beyond help keep temps down especially with the fact you have the Js racing grill. I switched out my mishimoto intake myself and went PRL. I definitely think you'll end up getting their inlet pipe as well. I also pulled the trigger on it as well. Curious to see how your car does on track. Keep up the videos man!

      @@MannyOrtiz Great question because I'm sure a lot of people probably have the same concern. Yes I was a little worried but I'm fortunate enough to have a parking Garage at work and a Garage at home so the vehicle is rarely parked out on the street where something like that for me would be more of a concern. Having said that I think most people just look at it in fascination and move on. You could easily have an old beater that someone decides to break the side glass on for no particular reason. No matter what you drive it's a risk and sure the wing draws a little more attention. May not be a smart choice depending on what neighborhoods you are parking in but everyone's situation is different. Use you best judgement.

    dude u talk a lot but there is not much essence in this. U should talk less , show more and yr canal will sky rocket - lots of ppl have bought type r recently so capitalize on that. Do movie wit acceleration with oem parts and after installation of new parts. U are cool guy but we are here for Type r content - we have our cars too.
