    I'm running PRL intake, downpipe, intercooler, and flex fuel. My exhaust is AWE. Im running on hondata. I got it tuned from Kings motor sport they sent me a basic tune right now. Told me it will be more beneficial to tune it on the dyno once I get my next mods which are a radiator upgrade, turbo blanket, new grille for air flow, and the main one fuel system upgrade by hondata so I can run full E85. The new 2020 Turbo Type R Civic is no doubt a beautiful car. For me though "only on a personal level" I can't justify purchasing one, The problem for me is the weight. 3117 pounds!!!!! Making 306 hp and cost $36,000.00 Dollars! My current built Honda is a 1995 Honda Civic EG ls/vtec B18 based boosted at 19psi that I have just under $10k into. January 10th it dyno'd at 505hp to the wheels and curb weight is a scant 1989 pounds! That's 1128 pounds lighter then the new TypeR. Even if you doubled the Type R's hp there's still that 1128 pound handicap that no matter what mods you make your going to shed very little of that weight. I did two roll on's on interstate 12 in my are this year with two differently owned new Type R's . For the TypeR the rate that my EG walked away from them was embarrassing even for me. I felt kinda bad honestly. But, the new type R is a very attractive looking Honda! I may still get one. 🤪 PS. I use to work for Vivid in there composite department some years ago👍

    You seem to be an expert at tuning these civic type R. Do you have any idea if there is a company out there speciazing on tuning the Honda electronics? Offering fine tuning of driving modes, adding personalized driving modes?

    It’s difficult to state a negative comment for PRL product and state a point to which the viewer needs to decide whether a lower temperature reading on the intake a pro or a negative. 🧐? Lol
    Respect for being smart on his word usage comparing both products even though PRL paid him to not state a negative comment.

    • @carlossepulveda5702
      @carlossepulveda5702 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wont, theyll have to prove that the intake and exhaust are the culprit for any issue you may have with the car. I myself have an eventuri intake and awe exhaust in my fk8 and it wont void my warranty

Apparently, you can use the hondata jailbreak thingy but not use hondata and use ktuner instead. But I don't know if that is possible or not because I haven't seen any videos about. But thank you for replying 😃
