instead of paper can you use foil to line the toaster oven? sorry if its a stupid question. Also if you have one where the tumbler can stand inside of it how long on each side would you say?
That's not a stupid question. I just googled it and it said foil can be flammable. Wow! I didn't know that. I use parchment paper. Also, every tumbler is different. It depends on the brand, how big it is, etc. It's really trial and error. I usually try to go by what the sublimation paper directions say. I've been sublimating mine for 3 minutes on each side.
I turned a printer I to a sublimation, I use the sublimation ink. Everything I put it in the oven or a sublimation heat press my images have a pink under color to them. And my image are bright right out of the printer.
Did you convert a new printer? Or one that had already been running regular ink? If it’s one that was previously using regular ink, maybe you still have the residual ink coming out as well? Also, as far as the pink shadow. Are you printing in best or high quality? Did you uncheck the high speed, are you securing the sublimation paper so it doesn’t move? Some times it trial and error. If you heat too long it can cause that as well. I would start with following the guidelines of the sublimation paper and mugs. See what they recommend and then go from there. Hope that helps.
I wrapped the tumbler with Printer Jack sublimation paper (with the image on it) then I used a sublimation plastic wrap around the tumbler - and applied the heat gun to that. Hope that helps 😀
I haven’t started doing sublimation yet so please forgive me if this is a dumb question. But is sublimation paper the same as like butcher paper? I’ve been told when using a heat press I could use either.
No question is a dumb question. 😀. No, sublimation paper is different than butcher paper. ok I must have misunderstood what you said then. What did you wrap the tumbler in before you put it in the oven? Cause that is what I was told I could use the butcher paper for.
