Thank you Sooo much for this video!! I am new to sublimation and just tried your tips -perfect! This is so very exciting. My family will be getting mugs/tumblers for every celebrated occasion. Oh, didn’t have any heavy duty thread, so I put together about 6 strands of regular thread until I can get some. It worked. … And they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
I see the first thumbler making video and then this one and is amazing the progress, I will try to make a small business to help my kid with type 1 diabetes and my girl with autism therapy, THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!
A lady had suggested to me to use silicon bracelets to place at the top and bottom of the tumbler to help hold the paper felt to the tumbler to help it to transfer the ink properly. That paper that you put on the bottom could have been held on by a silicone bracelet too. Love these ideas Juan. Hope you’re doing well.
I'm in the beginning stages of learning to sublimate, but your channel has been the most helpful channel I've seen. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom!
I bought a convector oven two year ago and never use it because the tumbler press seemed easier. NO, I’ve ruined at lease 15 tumblers. The good news is, I didn’t throw them away. So now I’m learning how to do epoxy. Anyway, I just ordered the sleeves and will be using the oven for tumblers and my press for cups only. Great video!❤
Very good video!!! Very informative and to the point. I've been through so many videos and they do alot of moving around and too much talking about nothing!!! This video is awesome. Thank you!!!
oh my goodnes! I'm so glad I stumbled on your video and learned your tricks! i'm getting ready to do my first tumbler and was reviewing another video then it led me to yours i'm immensely grateful.
These tips are great! I've had a sublimation printer for some time and already got my groove doing resin tumblers, so this is the best of both worlds. Just bought some sublimation tumblers from your Etsy.. can't wait to try this out! Thanks Juan!
The paper didn’t shrink, the tumbler expanded due to the heat. Always make the print a little larger for this reason. I also save time by simply leaving about a 1/4 inch white border on top and bottom instead of cutting separate pieces out.
What kind of paper did you use to cover the bottom of the tumbler? I am using Asub paper in my Epson SureColor F170. I heard some types of paper will burn in the ovens. I had paper scorch in my mug-press which I expected.
Where do I buy the shrinking wrap? Can you do it in tumbler have wide on top and narrow on bottom. I love your video. Is first time and I want to try. Please do it more!
Thansk fro these tips!! Just got my printer and sublimation goodies! Im a wee bit intimidated but I will watch your vids Im sure I will be okay. Take care! Christine
Thank you so much for all these tips and tricks you give us. I appreciate it so much. I was so nervous to make them but now I'm ready to try one on my own for myself 1st.
Wow i enjoyed watching your video and your tricky tricks. I am new to be doing this and im glad I've come across your channel. Muchos Gracias! Will definitely checknout your etsy shop too. Godbless
I never use paper on top or bottom of the tumblers. But I do put paper in the oven to prevent the shrink wrap from sticking to the oven bottom. I do the same in the fridge to keep it from sticking to the racks during the 5 minute cool down.
Do you happen to have a video/tricks for sublimating in the oven for a 32 oz water bottle? I have been asked to do some and they look to be trickier because you have a tapered neck and slightly curved bottom. Thank you.
Very good and detailed video. Thank you, before watching your video I didn't know what to set my oven at. I have one just like that..I ruined my first tumbler yesterday. So that's why I set out on you tube.
Thanks Juan! I recently started sublimating bottles and cans. I love the string tip. For the base, I use a 4 inch piece of sublimation tape because it’s quicker than cutting circles out.
Don't worry you will mess up is normal is what makes us human and that's how wi get to be good at what we do. All professionals messed up at one or many points but they kept on going that's how we become professionals by keeping on and not quitting.
Thank you for the video nd the tips! I just started this journey and had some questions. I am eager to try again with this new information! Thank you!!
Great video! I’ve been printing 9.3 but length 8.125, trying to cut flush to the flat part to prevent bottom ghosting. Sometimes the spots still happen down there. I see you do 8.1, so you think my length is the culprit?
Heck yea brotha... good video those clear shrink wraps u have work amazong dude.. .they get crazy tight and that string trick will make it faster to get off
Your videos and tips are very user friendly. Shrink wrapping isn't as easy as it looks but I learned from you how to get it right everytime. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the tips... love the string trick. The only time I have problems with it sticking to the cup is if I wait till cup cools... I always take it off while the cup is hot with heat glove
So when you say dump a lot of ink into the paper, I'm using Asub paper and the setting is premium matte finish. Should I change that? The main issue I'm having is ghosting especially when I use a solid black design.
Those were great tips & tricks! Thanks for sharing! Also I like that you share every, even if there is a mistake or a line.. keep up the awesome designs!
I’ve been trying all these different methods from the videos on TH-cam with bad results 😫I finally came across your video and my tumbler turned out perfect!!! 😁. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
I tried floss instead of leather thread. Although it did cut the shrink wrap, the wax coating messed with my design. I would advise to try floss that isn’t waxed.
You can use Cricut infusible ink markers to touch up the line and then process again for a few minutes. Where did you get the wood holder on your wall for you screen printing wipers?
all my mistakes or samples get sent to Mexico not only cups but shirts, hats and jackets, on the tumblers we don't have the "mirror" problem, our printer is set up to print in mirror
Sandra Padilla, If you do resin work, you can spray paint the tumbler and create your design with water slide decals and then after you apply it to the tumbler , coat it with resin. You can even use dishwasher safe Mod-Podge. If you would like further information check on TH-cam for how to fix sublimation erros on tumblers. There are many videos that will help you understand better what I am talking about. Good luck
Hi Juan, I can’t wait to get started. Could you please tell me what type of small oven you use in this video. Also what are the gloves you are wearing and where from? Thank You for all your help and videos.
Thanks for the tip about taking off the silver circle on the bottom of the tumbler.

The paper didn’t shrink, the tumbler expanded due to the heat. Always make the print a little larger for this reason. I also save time by simply leaving about a 1/4 inch white border on top and bottom instead of cutting separate pieces out.

Matt-how do you keep the shrink wrape from sticking to the 1/4" border you leave? thanks~ Lisa
Why does my shrink wrap keep melting after being in the oven for like 40 sec, I only have temp on 350

Hello. My question is Can a regular oven be used? In your video you mentioned Big or small oven but I'm not sure because you didn't show the big oven.

I use scissors
You are the best! Thanks very much for your time.
Can I use the same temperature time on a tumbler with the masking tape method instead of shrink wrap?
I've never used masking taking tape so I have no idea if it will wok
