    The paper didn’t shrink, the tumbler expanded due to the heat. Always make the print a little larger for this reason. I also save time by simply leaving about a 1/4 inch white border on top and bottom instead of cutting separate pieces out.

    • @TheRobjanesse
      @TheRobjanesse 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you just slit your white border and tape it inside the cup and to the bottom?

      What kind of paper did you use to cover the bottom of the tumbler? I am using Asub paper in my Epson SureColor F170. I heard some types of paper will burn in the ovens. I had paper scorch in my mug-press which I expected.

I’m following leaving them 4 minutes with the shrink wrap but it doesn’t give the shiny outcome like yours do and feels like theirs residue on them if u touch it?

    Thanks for the great video. I have the Epson 170 and I thought it could not print white? No white ink in the printer so how did it print white? Also I am surprised there are not more print settings you can choose from. I think my colors can be brighter on A-Sub paper. Any recommendations?

    • @LibertyGraphicDesigns
      @LibertyGraphicDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there is no whith ink in sublimation, you get the from garment or the substrate your printing on so if you're printing on a darker garment instead of white you will get what ever color the garments are. To contro the color on your prints they must be done on your designing software.

    Loved your tips for good sublimation. Regarding the oven you used, maybe you answered in another video, but I didn't hear it here. Is it a convection oven? Other videos I've watched stated that you have to turn the tumbler after half of the time is gone by to get even sublimation. You didn't do that. Your method looks a lot easier than rotating the hot tumbler half-way through. Also, could I just use a teflon sheet instead of the printer paper in the oven to keep the tumbler from sticking to the oven rack?

    • @LibertyGraphicDesigns
      @LibertyGraphicDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes mine is a convection oven and I do NOT turn mine at all, yes you can use a teflon sheet

    A lady had suggested to me to use silicon bracelets to place at the top and bottom of the tumbler to help hold the paper felt to the tumbler to help it to transfer the ink properly. That paper that you put on the bottom could have been held on by a silicone bracelet too. Love these ideas Juan. Hope you’re doing well.

    No matter what I do my sub cups do not come out right. There’s lots of ghosting and everywhere I put the heat tape it leaves the outline of the tape on my cups. I use heat tape then cover the whole cup with masking tape or painters tape and sometimes I even use shrink wrap. I’ve tried it the same way I see so many people doing and it never comes out right. It’s either too light or so many ghosting areas and tape marks. I even used the silicone bands and it left outlines marks on the cup. I’ve done 350 for 6 minutes. I’ve done 385 for 4 1/2 - 5 minutes and now you are saying 400 for 4 minutes. I e now ordered different heat tape, white masking tape, a full cup silicone wrap and clear shrink wrap to try out. Please what am I doing wrong 😢 I’m wasting cups and wraps that I pay for because I don’t print. How can I get the prints off the cups when they are messed up to try and reuse?

    Does it have to be a convection oven? Can I use a large toaster oven that I have? Of course, it is not convection and it does not have turbo. If the oven doesn’t have turbo, do you need to leave it in longer?

    • @LibertyGraphicDesigns

      GREAT QUESTION! No. it does not have to be convection oven, convection just means that it will circulate the heat evenly through out the oven whereas the regular oven (toaster or regular oven) will have hot spots the convection eliminates hot spots by incorporating a fan inside the oven that's all nothing fancy.
