Hi Cindy, I have all of my materials and supplies listed and linked on my tumbler blog post tutorial for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ 💗
Nice video. I learned a lot. I pressed down the seam as you did, but I still got a little white line. Maybe not enough? For my first one it came out good other than that. It still holds drinks!!! LOL..
I noticed your tumbler press closed all the way around the 20 oz tumbler. I have the PYD press and mine has about an inch gap at the top when I close it. Suggestions?
You will rotate a tumbler 180 degrees and then press again for the full length of time. Angie Holden has a good review on the PYD press that can be helpful. www.thecountrychiccottage.net/2-in-1-tumbler-press/
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, you need to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. This helps to avoid any uneven transfer of the design and ensures that the entire surface of the tumbler receives consistent heat, which is crucial for achieving a perfect sublimation result. By rotating the tumbler, you minimize the risk of hot spots or areas that might not get enough heat, leading to a more uniform and professional finish.
This is a very helpful video, but I think I missed what temperature you used for the convection oven. Also, how would you do a tumbler if the oven is not tall enough for the tumbler to stand upright?
Here is the link to my step by step directions for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ and you can lay your tumblers on the rack in the convection oven as well. There is quite a bit of information on this subject in my Sublimation FB group as well. You can join at this link, facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy 💗

If you buy a sublimation printer it will come with sublimation ink. The printers that you need to convert you will have to buy sublimation ink. jennifermaker.com/best-sublimation-printer/
You can sublimate over an image if the color is darker but there could be a ghost image underneath. It is best to do it in one shot. You can always add vinyl on top.

Thank you Jennifer for all of your amazing and helpful videos!!! You rock! I have a quick question for you. What tumbler heat press do you have, or recommend because I have tried the convection oven way and the shrink wrap rips in the process of submlimating..GRRRR! I purchased the bands, received them yesterday [haven't tried them yet]. Not sure how it will turn out. I am just ready to sell the convection oven because I am overly unhappy with the results. Please help!! Love ya Jennifer!!
Hi Cindy, I have all of my materials and supplies listed and linked on my tumbler blog post tutorial for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ 💗
What sublimation printer did you use for tumbler cups
You can find it here. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
Nice video. I learned a lot. I pressed down the seam as you did, but I still got a little white line. Maybe not enough? For my first one it came out good other than that. It still holds drinks!!! LOL..
Yay! 😀
Will a blow dryer also work if I don’t have a heat gun?
Give it a go.
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, why do you have to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees?
When making the tumbler in the tumbler press, you need to rotate the tumbler 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. This helps to avoid any uneven transfer of the design and ensures that the entire surface of the tumbler receives consistent heat, which is crucial for achieving a perfect sublimation result. By rotating the tumbler, you minimize the risk of hot spots or areas that might not get enough heat, leading to a more uniform and professional finish.
@@JenniferMaker thank you. that makes perfect sense. I'm making some for gifts for a baby shower and wanted to ensure I knew what I was doing and why
Hi Jennifer
Hello! 😊
I still can’t find ICC Profile for Epson et 2803. Hopi ink a sub paper. Can you help. My colors won’t come out correct
Check out jennifermaker.com/sublimation-color-problems 😊🌻
This is a very helpful video, but I think I missed what temperature you used for the convection oven. Also, how would you do a tumbler if the oven is not tall enough for the tumbler to stand upright?
Here is the link to my step by step directions for you, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ and you can lay your tumblers on the rack in the convection oven as well. There is quite a bit of information on this subject in my Sublimation FB group as well. You can join at this link, facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy 💗
I was hoping you or someone you could refer me to on the step-by-step on the printing process. I know your video says step-by-step but it didn’t show the process of set up on the computer. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows something please let me know.
I have different tutorials on sublimation as well as setup with different printers. Here is one tutorial that I have. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-for-beginners/ My group can also be very helpful. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
I'm not sure of the issue without seeing it but take a look at my blog post, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-color-problems/ 💗
Your video is the best and easiest to follow. Thank you. I'm subscribing.
i paid for a course to learn about sublimation and I can't find it.
I found a Canva Creative course in Teachable under your name. You can log into your Teachable account to access it. It is registered under a gmail account. If you have any problem please send an email to hello@jennifermaker.com for help.
Hi Jennifer what program do you use to cut your images for the tumblers? I was wondering if you could use the cricut of what program can be use to cut the images since I know cricut limits on the size to cut? Thank you in advance and I just want to thank you for such great video
There a many programs you can use but take a look at my video, th-cam.com/video/7IGbJtb0s10/w-d-xo.html 💗
Hi enjoyed your video... any tips on how to sublimate black tumbler wraps? My turn brown 😅
Make sure that your test prints are black before doing it on a tumbler. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Getting a sublimation printer do I need to buy the sublimation ink separately? Even if my printer is already sublimation ?
If you buy a sublimation printer it will come with sublimation ink. The printers that you need to convert you will have to buy sublimation ink. jennifermaker.com/best-sublimation-printer/
You have a riser above your printer. Where did you get that?
The stands are made with a 3D printer that the Cricut machines are on. We plan to share them at some point.
Can the tumbler lay on its side if the oven not tall enough?
You can!🥰
Can a name be added to designs after sublimation onto tumblers
You can sublimate over an image if the color is darker but there could be a ghost image underneath. It is best to do it in one shot. You can always add vinyl on top.
Great video but my design space has not expanded to a larger size. It's still only doing the 9x6
Take a look at my step by step directions on the blog post at this link as I think it will be more helpful, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/ 💗
im thinkin of gettin a convection oven only so i can do sublimation/polyamer clay and shrinky dinks all in one oven so i dont have2keep buyin diff things 2 use lol
That's a great idea! 😊
yes, you can just flip the mug to sublimate the other end 🥰
Are you supposed to seal these with resin or anything?
You do not have to seal sublimation.
I read that its best to heat up the press with a blank cup inside?
I have not heard this. You can ask in the group. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Love the video - I have a convection oven but no felt pad. Could I remove the rack and put a piece of parchment paper under instead?
Parchment paper is coated and it holds in that moisture. It is not recommended for sublimation crafting.
Can you provide a link for the item you placed in the bottom of the oven. Thanking you in advance.
All the items used are in the materials list here. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
Have you used a sublimation oven as posed to a convection oven? I wonder if the results would be different?
You can get good results in both. 🥰
