Do you think it was the attractant that caught the fish or was it really the fake crab. I've known of fish caught with attractant put on a piece of sponge.
Thanks for commenting. From what I understand crabs, barnacles and shrimp are the main diet of the Sheepshead. I'd say that the visual appeal of the crab lure is very strong. I will make some videos without adding the scent and see what happens. A guy made a video of catching several Sheepshead on this lure in Fl.. I contacted him and asked if he was using scent and he said no. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for asking. I'm in SW FLorida. I never post cities or exact locations out of respect for communities of local anglers. I don't want any of these fishing spots over crowded with people traveling from all over to fish a great fishing spot. I am not a supporter or fan of people who watch TH-cam to find fishing spots. I always teach people how to and where to find fish along with tips on rigging and presentations to catch them. One time I posted some videos of catching big Snook and the next day there were ten "local" anglers fishing the exact location because they noticed where I was fishing. Before I posted the video I was the only one fishing that spot during six trips there. Can you imagine how many more people would have been there if I'd told 18,000 subscribers where I was fishing? I understand that people just want to know the general vicinity of where I am. I also understand why. Google Earth will help anyone find a fishing spot if they know a general location. Most savvy computer people can figure out exactly where I'm at with some time invested in looking around in SW Florida. Even in some of my videos people will find some sign or license plate that reveals the city or location. That's a long answer and I hope you now understand. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for watching. Great question but, Why not a crab lure that works? In answer, they don't sell real crabs around here and finding them is a lot of work. If they did sell real ones I'm sure they would be very expensive. This is a great alternative to wasting money on live shrimp or real crabs. Thanks.
I've used the same CRANKA crabs for over a year, and they still work and look like new. It's cheaper and easier in the long run to use artificial if you can find a good one that works.

Also, no one sells fiddler carbs in my area and to go out and catch enough crabs to fish four of six hours is impossible around my area. So, the artificial crab is the perfect solution for me. Thanks for watching. I'm guessing you don't have Amazon Prime free shipping?
@@RadReelingFishing no free shipping..I shop all around..in NC where I spend summers the Fiddlers are so thick you just wade into thousands of them..herd them over a cliff or jam them up a marsh bank...scarce here in my winter haunt Hernando beach/Bayport Fl area but our live shrimp is only 2.50 a dozen...almost as cheap as a frozen pack!...I use fresh dead bought right off the Shrimp boats in NC...keep on gettin it Bro..love the humorous Flaver you add to your vids..getting creative!!
I bought one of these and a puffer destroyed it. Take it out of the water if you have puffers present.
4:43 can’t stand when somebody comes up to me and acts like that when I’m fishing. Smh 🤦♂️
Saltwater Savvy for realz I hate that so mfin annoying
Ha ha...I've never heard anyone talk to a fish like it was a kitten puppy, too funny.
@@fishingislife6778 There was a lot more in the actual video footage that I didn't include. She was a very caring individual for that convict.
Rad Reeling Fishing I hear it all the time and I feel the urge to throw the fish at them.😂
I know what horrible terrible people to think like that. Rather sad.
What is wrong with the water? Why wouldn't you keep and eat the sheepshead? Your comment was you would not eat them from out of here. WHY?
Thanks for watching. There are cleaner waters to harvest fish from. Marinas don't always get good water flow through them, oil, gas, sanitation leaks, fishing boats dumping spoiled bait in the water. I have eaten fish that were caught in that marina, but choose to not anymore...Thanks for commenting.
@@RadReelingFishing Saw the video and thought about buying and trying, then found out they were about $14 each. Too much for this boy!
I had a x girlfriend who had something like that 🦀
Oh my, my, my...sounds like a life vest was required. Thanks for watching and commenting.
im a sub for your channel don't know why you didn't answer as to what part of fl u fish im in Pensacola
Yes why want you eat them from there? Is that Mariana that nasty do they not keep the water clean there?
The water is cleaner in different areas of the bay to harvest fish.
Why not real crabs?
Thanks for watching. Great question but, Why not a crab lure that works? In answer, they don't sell real crabs around here and finding them is a lot of work. If they did sell real ones I'm sure they would be very expensive. This is a great alternative to wasting money on live shrimp or real crabs. Thanks.
I've used the same CRANKA crabs for over a year, and they still work and look like new. It's cheaper and easier in the long run to use artificial if you can find a good one that works.
Hey Jc, awesome video. I definitely want to try one of those lures. I havent had a video recently, been busy preparing for my daughter being born next month😀 Hope I can get some good footage soon, thanks for taking me out on the water thru your videos meanwhile!
Congratulations. You'll be back out there soon though. You are welcome and thanks for being a faithful sub..
Rad Reeling Fishing Thanks Jc! Keep up the amazing videos😀
🙄...how many times can someone say “put it back” in a Karen way.
