- In today's top 5/10 mario video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the enemies, bosses and others in the super mario series made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen enemies like baron brrr, king bob-omb, torkdrift, mechawiggler, knucklotec, robobrood, dry bowser, shadow mario, broodals, koopalings, bowser jr and a lot more. However which minion of bowser that keeps helping him kidnap princess peach and stop luigi, mario, toad and the others is the worst? The most hated? Well let's find out!

DUUUUUUUDE! phantom manta is my favorite boss from sunshine, I found it to be fun and easy, the trick is hover nozzle fly by and hide in the ocean. because manta will turn around after a little bit.
I always hid under the little gazebos. Because they had a roof, the manta couldn't get to you, and there was water close by to refill.
That can work but the water can make it harder to hit the mantas as well. as do the roofs under the juice bar huts. so unless you are masters of FLUDD Usage it will only make it take That much longer, but it is indeed that much Safer too.

You...have trouble with the Manta? Why do you spray it? I always used the hovernozzle, which helps peventing me from touching it AND damages it at the same time! With it, the fight becomes a lot easier!
don't forget the Spin Spray or Spin jump Spray for the Final Part. kills so many at once.

Top 10 best 3D Mario bosses
for the phantom manta, just use the hover nozzle and it's absolute cake. once it has split into it's smallest form, just lure them on to the beach and spray everywhere. it kills them all really fast!

King Whomp: Extremely easy and predictable. I know it's supposed to be an early boss but considering you can easily get 3 Stars in Bob-Omb Battlefield access Jolly Roger Bay and Cool Cool Mountain makes this boss practically meaningless in SM64/SM64DS.

The Phantom Manta is tricky, but using the jetpack nozzle makes it easier to damage the Manta from the safety of the air, as well as clearing the ground for when you land. Using the regular nozzle would make an already difficult fight nearly impossible.
Yes! someone else agrees that Super Mario Sunshine is a great game. But my least favorite boss fight was the shadow manta in the first hotel level.
He realizes that camping the beach against the phantom manta and using the hover nozzle when out of the water makes him a piece of cake, right?

I couldn't disagree more with #1. That boss is _easily_ my most favorite boss in that game. It's just so much fun to fight and I personally had a fairly easy time beating it even as a kid. I heard of people having a hard time with this boss but I've never heard about anyone actually hating it.

Honestly I liked the Bully boss in Super Mario 64. The fact you could destroy it by shoving it off gave you some cool ideas on how to do it.

I actually really enjoyed the phantommanta fight and I didn't use the hover nozel trick. I just find getting rid of the little mantas to be so satisfying
I love super mario sunshine but im really bad at it, and i actually had trouble with those polluted pirahnas, and have to search up a walkthrough for a good portion of the levels, im really bad the controls and cant even figure out how to rocket store even after watching multiple videos and reading about it. Lmao
I know this is off-topic, but can you do a video about "What Happened to the Loftwings?". We only saw them in Skyward Sword and I really like the concept of flying in The Sky. I know they are the protectors of the people of Skyloft and since Skyloft went back to the Surface, we don't know what happened to them. So I really want to see this video! Also, awesome video!
I swear everytime I play a game, there's always that one boss I struggle so much on I get furious and yet whenever I am online people always say that certain boss should have been harder, and that it was too easy, which just makes me just go "No just No"

despite disliking the phantamanta as a kid, I've actually grown to appreciate the fight over the years, rather than hiding in a tree I go around sprinklering, spin hovering, water blasting, and hovering over the phantamantai constantly (spin hovering is a terrible idea in this fight and usually results in taking damage, although it is one of the coolest maneuvers in the game)

The Phantom Ray can be beat using one trick. Jump and spray at the same time and you'll do a sort of burst of water. I mean it takes out your water supply in under 7 seconds but it works

Dr. Wily here's a good idea for a video. The hero shade from twilight princess was possibly meant to be the hero who fought against Ganon when he was resurrected before the events of the wind waker.
i never realized the manta ray boss was so difficult. I honetly don't think it ever gave me that much trouble. I usually just picked one manta and broke it down bit by bit until none were left. id move on to the next manta after that.
Think about it this way: if the polluted pirhana is repeatedly showing up in the game, it’s probably not a boss. Goombas show up everywhere in galaxy, and have even more basic attack patterns. Killing them is a matter of one jump button. Yet they weren’t on this list.
Prince Bully is such wasted potential. Did you know that you can’t even die to him unless you jump into or land on one of his fireballs? Small Mario is actually TOO SHORT to be hit by the fire normally, and they’re his only damaging attack...

Time to update this list with splatoon bosses because phantom manta is back and is the penultimate boss in splatoon 3
In the flower boss from odyssey, the orbs always spawned right above me, so I got to break one before the bricks spawned
I thought the manta Ray was one of the best bosses from sunshine, I never had a hard time with it, the concept was cool with the splitting, and it never got chaotic for me. Not sure what I do differently but I think that boss is great

the first boss you mentioned could be the 2nd or 3rd boss of odyssey if you chose the lake or wooded kingdom

Super Mario Galaxy had the most unique bosses. From the giant tree shaped rock ghost to lakitu's dad on steroids who went out for the milk and drank it himself, and prehistoric jaws remake to terry the tarantula on radioactive crack, the galactic rogues gallery goes on. My favorite was the fast and furious Dom torreto wannabe with the chariot.

All these bosses have cool designs and tactics to beat them, anything can be better if improved on, though these bosses could use a bit more.
10: Torkdrift is actually a really cool boss, though extremely easy once you realize those pairs of 3 blocks on the two sides of the arena are actually high enough for you to get to and be 100% safe, he reminded me a lot about the Pikmin series, the eyes, the music, maybe less of the fact he's mechanical but the environment as well. He's a cool boss That could use a bit more.
9: King Ka-Thunk is a cool looking boss, and could be way harder if given the right things, he is around halfway through the game, which is kinda sad with his difficulty, but Mario games are directed towards children, and you can't blame Nintendo for making the bosses a bit easier in their 3D games.
8: The Wiggler is kinda boring, I can agree there, but getting to him and figuring out how to fight him at first *is* a bit confusing, especially when the main way to defeat enemies in SM64 is punching and kicking, you never really just on enemies.
7: The Gooey Piranha is extremely early on in the game, he's not *really* a boss, more of a mini-boss to get in your way.
6: The Bullies, they are cool designs and ideas, and could definitely be improved upon, though for being the *first* 3D Mario game, just like the Wiggler, hard at first, but easy once you know what you're doing.
5: Prince Bully is just like Gooey Piranha except he's not really an early on boss, he's a miniboss meant to be in your way, that's about it, he does have a cool design though.
4: Baron Brrr is actually a boss I really like, in my first ever file of Galaxy 1, I never even got to him because I wasn't sure how, now, I was 7 at the time, so don't judge. He has a *cool* design and an interesting tactic, if improved upon he could definitely be a way more difficult and interesting boss, let's hope he comes back with some new tactics in Galaxy 3! Pun intended by the way.
3: The Undergrunt Gunners are very annoying, they are, just like Gooey and Prince though, minibosses. Just meant to be in your way, and not really a fight you reflect on next to, "Oh hey, that had a star. Neat, I guess."
2: The Plungelos seem more like Minibosses to me, even if they *are* in the boss section, just like Gooey though, just a miniboss in your way.
1: Phanta Manta is a REALLY cool boss, it's actually really fair, and not too difficult if you have the *HOVER NOZZLE* as everyone in the comments is mentioning.

Phanta Manta isn’t too hard if you just go into the ocean as then it cannot spread the goop so you just need to use the hover nozzle. Plus you can easily refill your water
Well the flower boss (I forgot it’s name) is quite hard in peach’s castle if you jump through the painting but nothing different apart from some bombs (the ones that send a ring of fire around them if you hit them) which makes the boss a lot harder apart from that there is nothing different.
My opinions on these bosses:
Torkdrift: It was a cool boss, not amazing but alright. Also it's battle theme is awesome!
King Ka-Thunk: Yeah it would have been a bit better if the ground that he falls on didn't glow red before he attacked.
Wiggler: Not got much to say about this one, I guess it was kinda bland.
Big Bully and Chill Bully: Not too interesting but not too bad
Prince Bully: Easy but not terrible.
Baron Brrr: I guess they could have found a way to make the fight a bit more interesting.
Undergrunt Gunner: They seem more like minibosses to me. Although the fight in Toy Time Galaxy was alright.
Polluted Piranha, Plungelo and Phantamanta: I haven't played Super Mario Sunshine.

He makes the platform smaller and dodges your atacks too.
