- Today we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the top 10 most creepy mario characters ever. We have seen there strange characters in a ton of games like super mario 64, super mario sunshine, super mario maker, New Super Mario Bros, luigi's mansion, paper mario and maybe even super mario odyssey. These characters give me the shivers, think of shadow mario, boos, undead toads, bosses, all kinds of special enemies and more. And today i will share with you the top 10 most creepy ones. They have been seen on a ton of consoles like the gamecube, n64, game boy and maybe the nintendo switch in the future. Even luigi, mario and peach where scared of some of them and of course bowser plays a role in this...

Professor e. Gadd is not creepy. First of all he has a weird baby-like appearance and he acts like a silly old man. Plus my theory in super Mario sunshine is that bowser jr turned into shadow mario and fooled e gadd into thinking it was actually Mario.

What about the shroobs? The entirety of Mario and Luigi: Partners in time is about how they practically destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom... that's pretty freaky! O_o
EDIT: After reading more of these comments, I realized that there are lots of creepy Mario enemies... probably enough to make a top 20.
Don't forget the toads have a slow and painfull death, their blood is slowly being sucked away to be used as fuel

I find Big Boo's laugh in SM64DS scary. You're on a merry-go-round with weird merry-go-round music and every 3 seconds you hear it. You only get this on the merry-go-round before the bit where you save Luigi.
One charater I realy missed on the list: Paper Marios... Heart-Bossfight. Yeah, you heared it. You fight a heart, that the original boss ripped out of himself, so that his undead self couldn`t be defeated anymore. And this boss... eats Buus! Litereally hunting them! I think, this realy should be number 1 here.

10.Mad Piano from SM64 (It's a deadly piano)
9. Cosmic Mario from Mario Wonder (He just is disturbing)
8. NSMB (2006-2019) Flame Chomp (The SMB3 ones are cute but the NSMB ones are scary)
7. SMB3 Chainchomp (They cannot be slapped by the super leaf)
6. Cheepskipper from NSMBDS (He is a huge Cheep Cheep)
5. Unagi from SM64 (2 ways it can kill you are drowning or getting eaten by the big scary eel)
4. Mummipokey from NSMBDS (It is insanely demonic)
3. Peepa from SM3DL, NSMB2, and SM3DW (It's just scary)
2. Big Bertha from SM64DS (She's a redesigned Boss Bass from SMB3)
1. Big Piranha Plant from NSMB (2006-2019) (This big plant can eat Mario)
The first time I encountered Eyerok was in SM64ds. I didn't really know what it was at the time so I slowly crept up tp it and BOOM! The sound it made when it came to life scared me! XD

I always found the boss of the bone fish (can't remember their name) from SMG scary as a kid.
Oh yeah his name was kingfin. The setting and music and prep for the fight made that creepier. Another creepy boss from that game was bouldergeist, who actually had similar mechanics to the eye hand boss from SM64 oddly enough.

If you think about it, bowser is the scariest character on Mario. He is a giant monster turtle, who is actually pretty fast. He breathes fire and is covered with spikes. He even has many different versions of him such as dry bowser and dark bowser. Not to mention, he can grow to the size of a large sky scraper. You've got to admit it would be very scary to see a spiky monster turtle sprinting at you, the size of the empire state building, shooting fire balls at you the size of your whole body. Plus he knows dark magic. If that isn't the scariest Mario character, I don't know what is.
