As a regular passenger through Mumbai airport, I have always wondered how precisely and efficiently it works . Normally waiting for our turn to take off, could always see 2-3 flights land in the same same runway. Respect to these ATC team, silent heroes , happy to put some faces to those names.

This is a proof that Mumbai Chatrapathi Sivaji Airport is a really hard working airport. All the job we must do is to ensure we are on time for the airport to reduce the work pressure on the ATC control people. Thank you for for letting us know this hard work of the airport staff and ground crew. From the next time I will reach the airport on time for sure.

I have worked at Mumbai airport for 2 years from the inauguration day 12th Feb,2014 (I remember we started at 8 AM in the morning) and it was mind blowing experience working at new airport Terminal T2.
Believe me the interior is World Class including every corner of the airport.
Proud to be Indian.
How did you applied there?
This is one profession where the compliance standard expected is even far higher than 6SIGMA......that calls for super human abilities, skill, competence, involvement, proactuveness, zenlike calm mind and above all discipline...... Hats of to this rarest of rare breed that functions as ATC

Even with limited runways for landing and departure, Mumbai Airport, staff, management, flights, security etc. are better than New Delhi's.
Saying with experience of flying from both (New Delhi and Mumbai) places from more than a decade.

Are you saying truly ? Are you flying both Airports (Domestic & International) from nearly 14-15 years ? Do you understand security fuss in New Delhi Airports and ease and swiftness in Mumbai Airports ?
I have been been flying from both airports (and also others in India) for 27-28 years. I personally have felt no difference at all between the two airports. RIght from the older shabbier terminals. Maybe it is because I have always had an incident-free and a mundane experience most of the times. And incidents like delays or cancellations (which have been rare for me luckily) were handled similarly. So I never experienced anything peculiar which would make me think differently about the staff or management. I guess it depends on personal experiences.
@@jameslaand Delhi's airport is much better than Mumbai's. In fact, IGI airport has been rated the best in the world in terms of management, handling and maintenance

@@jameslaand in 2019, Delhi's airport has got a miserable ranking of 59 but it's still a lot better than Mumbai's which has got a rank of 64.

Awesome informative video... I remember one time my flight was holding a pattern almost for 50 mins as there was VIP movement on the main runway... Respect for all of the staffs...
Things would be faster I believe if Mumbai starts accepting the e boarding passes... Passenger delays will reduce...

Mostly budget airlines park in remote bays because it's cheaper to get the passengers to the aircraft by a bus than to use a aerobridge that has a higher charge

Happy to see how Mumbai airport is functioning, tackling the odds, hats off to those who make it so functional. I pray for speedy development of Navi Mumbai international airport first phase operational at 2020-21 and also the second phase construction of NMIA, having second parallel runway and terminal, which is scheduled to be operational at late 2030, for more ease of operation, and existing airport to be domestic, regional only airport , with fewer int'l flights in late future

Out of 140,000 daily passengers about 60,000 would be coming from Pune daily. For someone who doesn't know there is a very huge business of Airport cabs from Pune to Mumbai and back. Pune desparetly needs a very big and independent International Airport separate from current shared space with Indian Air Force. Punekars are the biggest sufferers of missing airport and causing over burden on Mumbai. Damn government and farmers always creates hurdles in the development of Pune.
Mumbai Airport is the most beautiful International airport I have seen. Amazing how they handle it so efficiently. Slums is the first sight you get while landing, this is what foreigners see when landing in India and their stereotype instantly becomes true
