For those who want to know: HOW TO BECOME AN ATC? One has to have a science background and an engineering degree preferably electronics and communication stream. You have to appear for an all India test depending upon vacancies. On clearing the written exam you have to cross two hurdles - voice test and interview. I have my highest respect to ATC all around the world for taking care of thousands of lives daily. Where I'm from in Australia, being ATC is one of the highest earning jobs (approximately AU$151000 - $191000 a year). But this job is always lacking of employees due to the stressful & high risk nature of the job

For a passenger like me, ATCs have been a guide for the pilot. They work from behind the curtains. When in an aircraft, you never know how much interaction and how rigorous the communication has been between the ATCs and the crew which ensures timely take off, safe air travel and the landing. I'm in training to become a tower controller in germany and it is both great and fascinating to see how similiar this job is around the world. Nearly everything in this video is known to me just because it is the same here. From the switch-up with the marshallers on the ground to the great feeling of delivering an important service to pilots from all around the world. Also massive kudos to the ATC Crew up in Mumbai Tower. 980 flights in 24h on a single runway is a really increadible accomplishment they can be proud of!

It takes one hour flight from places A to B. We think we reached very soon had a very short flight. But we must understand that there are 100 people working behind the bars to make the route shorter, comfortable, safe and so on. Be kind to eachother.

It takes one hour flight from places A to B. We think we reached very soon had a very short flight. But we must understand that there are 100 people working behind the bars to make the route shorter, comfortable, safe and so on. Be kind to eachother.
