Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down The Last Of Us Part 3.

We have some new plot details, rumours and also lots of theories about what could be going on in the upcoming game. Though it hasn't been officially announced there's a lot of credible leaks on the game and throughout this video we're gonna be going through them all.
There will be heavy spoilers here in regards to part 2 so if your first time is going through the remaster or something then I suggest you switch your game up and head off like Ellie did to Seattle after Abbie got a Joel in one.

Ok so first up we have to say that the game hasn't been officially announced yet. Druckman said to the script apart podcast that the writing on the story had been done they just hadn't put it into development. Since then Daniel RPK has kept people in the loop and said that the game is indeed being worked on right now. It makes sense too as there's definitely directions they could take and he's even brought us lots of plot details. - บันเทิง

Pt 3 theme should be about forgiveness and will begin with Abby and Lev finding the fireflies who are in contact with a firefly cell from South America who has the original Patient 0 who is infected and contagious but not turned or growing fungus from their body. One of the doctors/ mycologists (woman from episode 2 only she is Peruvian)working there finds out that by combining both Ellie’s and patient 0’s fungus mutations a cure can be made but only if they are alive. Abby’s father was so desperate to make a cure he misdiagnosed her and if he did the surgery all hope for a cure would have been lost. This will take us to back to pt 1 where Joel saving Ellie from the surgery actually saved the worlds only hope for a cure. When Abby learns of this she will begin to forgive Joel because she would have done the same if Lev was in Ellie’s position since she now shares a bond with him. They should have the group travel to South America or with Patient 0 to the WHO in Europe where they leave from Boston and Bill can come back to help them get a working boat since before the outbreak he was a ship mechanic. In Europe they land in Spain have to travel from there to Eastern Germany so we can how the cordycepts ravaged Europe. This can bring new infected and Antagonist let’s say a group that controls most of Europe with a dictator type leader that uses infected and spores as weapons on those who don’t fall in line and join them.

What’s funny is that Lev and Abby actually talk about going over seas to a different country (and/or) countries towards the end of part 2. Lev is suspicious that the firefly’s don’t exist in Santa Barbara anymore and talks about the idea of going more west. Considering that California is as west as America gets, Abby talks about how there nothing more west except the ocean and different countries, and hints at the idea that maybe they will. So who knows, you might be on to something and don’t even realize it 🤷♂️
I want a prequel so bad but I want the end of Ellie’s and Abby’s journey first
(Edit. You can consider the ending of part 2 as a solid ending but it’s no way the end of Ellie and Abby’s story in their hero’s journey. With Part 3 basically being confirmed then it’s safe to assume that it’s gonna complete that journey arc

There's no place else for the story with Ellie, Abby, and Lev to go. They both went through a hellacious journey over the same three days. They both learned the same thing about revenge and how it serves only to perpetuate the vicious cycle the world finds itself in. The world didn't deserve a vaccine.
Abby has Lev as family now. Ellie has a family too if Dina took her back. The only story left to tell circles around Tommy.
Give me a prequel. Back stories of Tess, Bill, and Tommy. All the "bad" things joel has done.

Think they'll add that to Part 3. Make the title the biggest and best of them all.

I would like to see Tommy and Joel in flashback sections, that could be interesting. I hope they don’t pivot from Ellie completely, her story isn’t finished yet. She went through hell in part 2, I want to see her purgatory and at least a hint of what ever version of paradise lies at the end.

Ellie redemption story arc let's go
per part 2 Ellie already redeemed herself for not killing Abby. Her Story is over. Unless ND decides that she goes after Abby again in part 3.

That's like saying because Kratos doesn't kill everyone he sees now, his redemption arc was over at the beginning of God of War 2018 after having killed everyone in Greece. Her not killing Abby was the beginning of her redemption arc, not the end.
@@TheAbsoluteSirThat doesn’t make any sense. Kratos already forgave himself and his redemption which is why he moved into the Norse mythos. Why would Ellie not kill Abby only to go, “You know what, I change my mind.”?
@eastwaters4082 you think he forgave himself in GoW 2018? You're wrong. He didn't find a shred of forgiveness until Ragnarok and especially until the Valhalla DLC. Just because Ellie didn't kill Abby at the end doesn't mean she is redeemed in any way.
She was shown to not be vengeful in that one moment, but that doesn't mean she still doesn't have demons that make her regret not killing Abby that she will have to deal with. Not to mention, she still probably has a yearning to do some level of good in the world to compensate for her brutality over the years. You think a murderer is internally redeemed because they quit becoming a murderer? No, they are internally redeemed once they forgive themselves and find new ways to create as much good in the world as pain they have caused others... or at least do that to the beat of their abilities. Redemption is both internal redemption and justice to the outside world.

You say they fumbled the execution on Part 2 and then go on to explain how the execution worked as intended. We were supposed to hate Abby and then learn to love her. If you start from her perspective and learn her motivations early on you don’t go on that journey with Ellie.
Pretty dam sure I saw a note from Ezra while playing the remaster last week so looks decent info. Would love Abby to come back she is like what Raiden is to Solid Snake :)

Like Ellies' revenge odyssey, the death of Sarah could've kick started something similar for Joel.
Taking it out on military convoys, infected, and later, the original factions that popped up. Also "being "on the other side" of those blockades, killing civilians.
It is this that makes Tommy realise that they've gone too far, and leaves for the Fireflies.
We maybe even play as a younger Tess, and Bill in the early years.
All the while the character arcs will mirror Ellie & Abby in the present day.

Do a tandem storyline like LOU2, one with Joel and Tommy during their trip between Texas and Massachusetts and one with Marlene and her rise as leader of the Fireflies.

I think the Seraphite leader is gonna be played by Cathrine O'hara. She has it in her to give off an ethereal martyr type person, and if they do go into her backstory with flashbacks, she would kill it in every scene, especially her going up against Jeffrey Wright (If he comes back to portray Isaac again, but that would be the biggest missed opportunity if they recast the role especially if they do go into the WLF vs Seraphites more.)

@@tjmackie4815tbh Neil could’ve written it to where Joel gets beaten to a pulp but Abby doesn’t deliver the final blow. They could have put him in a coma, and that would still drive Ellie to get revenge and get ptsd. That would make Abby more sinister as she left him to be a cripple for the rest of his days instead of killing him outright.
I can't wait for part 3. The second part was a masterpiece like the first one.

I think a cool idea would be for the villain to also be immune like Ellie, (maybe 20 years ago) had the chance to save the world when she was young but found out the operation was going to kill her too so she kills her surgeon and bails. Fast forward to the present, it shows the villain as an adult with a little girl. The villain is out on a stroll with her daughter (about Ellie’s age) and boom! Clickers surprise them, they fight them off but it’s too late. Clicker bit her daughter but the clicker dies. Villain doesn’t want to accept her kid is infected and kill her so she keeps her infected until she founds out how to save her. That’s when she finds out about Ellie. Another immune. A miracle. So she decides to kidnap her to extract the cure. That’s when it’s revealed that the villain is a firefly, it shows an entire town, firefly logos everywhere and she owns it. That’s where Abby comes in. Maybe Dina is able to track down Abby and Lev, and begs them for help. They agree. So they set out on their journey. I’m not sure how but I’d like to add Joel and his past in the mix. Maybe Joel crossed someone connected to the villain? Everything happens for a reason right? And it could parallel Joel’s choice for saving Ellie.

Why does everyone think viewers will care about a character with no backstory? We’d just be confused why we’re spending time with a random. The “event” is the driving point for the whole story. That’s why Craig mazin is likely sticking close to the source.

I think Ellie in a part 3 would be a wanted woman because Abbie probably would have reported everything to the fireflies when she got to Catalina.
I think that Abby will play a positive role in Ellie's life. The way she has to fight against her own team(wlf) to save the enemies(Lev and Yara-seraphites) the same way I think she will fight against her former team( fireflies) to save her enemy(Ellie)

What if part 3 is about Ellie’s general fight for survival and her path to finding canibals & the fireflies. But Ellie wakes up from a nasty dream halfway through 3 and Joel is still alive, building anger towards Joel and the lies he told her in part 1, leading to an epic final boss of Ellie vs Joel

I think the plot was for the cancelled factions story Victorian is the style of sole buildings in san Francisco this was also before it got cancelled
Pretty sure part 3 will be abbey finding more fireflies, she will inadvertently let it slip hat Ellie is immune and they will all mount up to make one last “crusade” to find her and try to make a cure. You, as abbey, will go awol in order to warn ellie and try to save her life. They meet up and while escaping Abby going to end up dying to save Ellie and ellie will have to raise Levi.
I think they should make a dlc (like left behind) that explores the birth of Ellie and who Ellies father was.
I was personally not a fan of TLOU2 story but I do love the franchise and I know there are so many excellent stories that can be told in this world! I also really want a Joel and Tommy prequel in order to answer questions. I say we wait o continue Ellie’s story.

I dont think it will be a prequel just for the very reason that they actually need new material for a Tv Show in Season 3.
The last thing a viewer wants is a whole season dedicated to something that happend before season 1 even started (or shortly thereafter).
A Tv series wants to keep things moving forward to keep the viewers intrest. No one gives a fuck about tiny character details that span over an entire season. Thats something you do to mix things up in an episode maybe, but not more.
Unless its in pt4 i think we all want to know what happens to Ellie eventually.

I think seeing Abby and Ellie breaking down over what they have done in Part 2 could be good. Maybe even have them meet and since they both almost have nothing they could connect and be friends question mark. Obviously it wouldn't be that quick but it would be the hatred they feel for each other that eventually turns into a friendship.which would mean all that they sacrificed would in certain aspects be to them would feel like in vain.
Plus as this is happening Tommy should be on the warpath on Abby due to that as well. Also since he has a limp niw and is banged up he would be a bit of a handicapped character, he would still be strong in the areas of him that still work proper though which i think would be interesting. For Ellie we could have her further. Once Toimy makes it to Abby ellie is in the way something elee happens there. Lol i haven't thought of it all but i think that base line could be interesting

A prequel with Joel would be nice as long as they don’t throw away finishing up Ellie storyline properly. But i think Naughty dog shining a light on Joels darker scenes might make their audience forgive them for his death. Or they might double down and really hate them for further tarnishing his Image , given the loving and fatherly message they ended his story on (flashback wise).
So the title was clickbait, no leaks, nothing really factual about The Last of Us Three.

The point of the story format is to feel the same anger as Ellie by NOT knowing Abby. I was so mad initially about Joel dying but I think the way the formatted the story made sense.
Sorry but I really don't understand the thinking behind wanting to change things narratively so that we like Abby before she kills Joel. You are supposed to hate her as much as Ellie does in that moment, otherwise what is the point? And then it isn't until later that you understand why she did it. The structure and intent are both ruined otherwise.
Facts man idk how people hate Abby but call that scene trash. If that scene felt like a gut punch and made you hate her then it was done right
The thing is when you do it this way y’all describe then whole story becomes more dependent on liking Abby. And a lot of people don’t like her. Which shows in the divide that still exists years later. I’d rather them move on to some new characters to explore the world with.
I thought these were supposed to be the details of the MP...? Or am I crazy? They had mentioned that the MP was going to have some narrative aspects...you just listed them. These are not details for a part 3.
