The brown residue from the tap water is easily cleaned off using white vinegar. Very happy with my cooker and have used it many times over the past six weeks since I got it. Folks are right to point out to poke the large end of the egg and cooking them with the pointy end down. It does take some experimentation based on the number and size of eggs you use, but I’ve been extremely happy with the results! Two thumbs up!
You're supposed to pierce the egg on the wide side because that's where the air chamber is located. The reason the eggs are leaking out is because you pierced them at the wrong end
The technique for piercing the egg is to turn the cup upside down on the table and push the egg against the pin. The reason you're supposed to pierce the egg on the wide end is because that's where the air chamber is located. So you're not actually piercing into the egg just into the airspace. That's why they don't leak if you pierce them properly. By the way should you break the pin you can use a pushpin, the kind you use for tacking posters to the wall.
Thanks for the video! Just used mine and no water came out but I used the pan just in case. Also my egg didn’t come out the top at all. Just letting others know so they’re not scared to use it! I love mine!
I bought this egg cooker. Works well. Advice: poke holes in the LARGE end and place in carrier SMALL end down. The air bubble in the egg is at the large end. Releases the air and makes them very easy to peel. I leave my eggs in the tray for a few minutes after the timer goes off. No could water. Cooks then egg more to myself liking.😊

The big end of the egg should have been pricked as it will have more air to escape… leave lid on for a minute or two will cook the eggs a little more…
awesome, thanks for the info.

We poke the rounded end of the egg and they come out perfectly hard boiled. ❤

Thanks, I'll try that
Very nice review on the product! I’m just trying mine now :)
Nice video. Thanks for posting such comprehensive review!
You poked the wrong end of the egg.
Not sure that it matters, I just poked the small end so that fat end sits firmly in the try. The hole is just to let the pressure out.
You put too much water for a full tray of eggs
Talk about an overboiling egg cooker.
I know, right...
Read the instructions dummy !
It says to pierce the larger side of the egg.
Come on man !!
Instructions... hahaha
