    I was cooking some eggs this morning on my Dash egg steamer and the timer went off. I thought to myself, "where have I heard that tune before?" I thought for a while...and then it hit me! I remember listening to this song on the radio back in the 70s called "time has come" by the Chambers Brothers. It's the intro to their song "time has come", how appropriate!...

    If you drop the cracked hard cooked eggs back into the cold water for a minute they will peel more easily. Crack them all and let them sit for a few seconds so the water gets under the inner membrane. Easy peasy.

      Wow! I'll be trying that technique with this particular egg cooker asap! I just got one at Ross for $9 and looking how to work this, and see your wonderful tip! I have yet to "master" a decent shell/egg separation. Thank you! 😁👍

    I was visiting someone who had one and made some eggs for me. They loved their cooker. I had never seen one or heard of it. I saw them in Amazon for $14 and up. Wanted mine in red which was a bit more expensive. Next day at Savers, there was a seemingly brand new red one for $4.00! Poached eggs will be on the menu chez moi.

    I love my little Dash Egg Boiler. Husband likes the Poached Eggs because he doesn't have to babysit them as they are cooking and no need to add Vinegar to the Poached Eggs while they are cooking. Win! Win! I like the Hard Boiled Eggs. Made Egg Salad night before last and also Deviled Eggs were Delicious in texture and flavor. Haven't made an Omelets yet. I use my Dash Egg Bites Maker for my Omelets... it works great too. I'll definitely be trying my hand at Steaming some Veggies in the Dash Egg Boiler. I can see that as being great if the Veggies are Steamed correctly... might need to try several different timings for the Veggies steaming process depending on what you're steaming and the quantities you're steaming... same for Seafoods. I do really like it. A great time-saver.

    The instructions did tell you if you want a harder yolk to allow an extra minute to steam before removing. You only did this on the first batch... makes me wonder how the other eggs would've turned out if you had allowed the extra minute without adding extra water. Great video 💭 maybe you could do a redo with the extra minute for each style of egg. Also what is your altitude?😊

I put the eggs into a bowl, tore up a slice of bread and added that and then added a couple of tablespoons of grape jelly. I can't express the feelings of tasting what my mother used to make me when I was young! I can't wait to try different deviled egg recipes. A better way to peel the eggs, I've found, is to 'pinch' the fat end first. Doing this gets you under that skin that's below the shell and once you're under the skin, the shell practically falls away.

    Our family has always called those cookies "snowballs". My personal favorite is thumbprint cookies with strawberry jam.

    I was just debating about buying this! You have convinced me. 😊 Now, if you have a chance to review their rice cooker, I would be thankful. I believe the cookies you mentioned are called Russian teacakes. My favorite is snickerdoodles.

    I have an egg cooker but I didn't get the parts for the omlett and the part for pouched eggs so what should I use instead if I want to make an omelette like you and pouched eggs with my egg cooker?

    Why does the lid lock, if the locking is never used?

    • @2centchick
      @2centchick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it’s just for when you put it away. You can lock the lid so the extra stuff doesn’t fall out.

    GO VERTICAL on the pin holing: hold egg pierced top of large end ! Or place in rack & pierced! 😅

    Don’t recommend tapping the egg all over board to get shells off- instead slide a teaspoon between shell and egg. Easy peezy.
