Life on our farm in Eatonton Georgia with our two dogs and various animals. Join us for the fun.
My wife and I were both born in rural areas. I am from Sevierville Tennessee (Boyds Creek to be exact) and my wife is from Malmo Sweden. However, life and career took us out of the country to big cities all over the world, but our dream has always been to get back to the country and enjoy a life close to nature.
In 2015 we purchased 38 acres in Eatonton, GA and shortly after purchased an additional 10 acres adjoining our land. So we now have 48 acres in beautiful Eatonton Georgia.
In 2017 we build a garage with a small apartment above it, sold our house in Atlanta, and moved to the country. In 2019 we build the main house (the big house as we call it.)

Excellent, just plain awesome job man! You didn’t cut any corners at prepping the area. It paid off. Amazing good looking land area you two have, congrats are in order….would love to play some pickleball games with you guys….go Sweden 🇸🇪! Cheers from NYC 🗽
Hey thanks, my 3032e has the exact same setup and I've noticed its been going too far up and causing strain on the hydraulics, and it immediately starts to drop the second move the lever off 9. My sensing valve was stuck and binding up. I loosened both bolts, sprayed it with penetrating oil and started working it loose. Its still a little tough to move by hand so I'll keep working on it, but for now its ok. Much appreciated on the video!
Those ghost stories boutta be insane 😂
I really need a video that shows how to fold this umbrella. I saw in my instructions the tension clip you pinch/squeeze but I can't seem to make that work.
We're going there in August.. wanted to see the village thanks
Cheaper to just purchase new one then do all that 4 sho. I guarantee 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you so much. Was long but you showed me all the struggles and how to get it. Now to do mine. Thank you again so helpful!
How many hours do you run after every change?
I change the engine oil each year so that is probably around 100-200 hrs. They Hydraulic call for every 400 hr in the manual
I followed step by step and I went to turn my zero turn on and it moves now back and forward but now my blades don’t engage need halo what can I do
when you say the blades don't engage does that mean you pull the PTO button up and nothing happens? There is an interlock which control the blade engagement. One is the seat switch. This ensured that the operator is in the seat. make sure that switch is working.
Hello I would like to know how I can get the front bumper and the front cover
I would check Amazon or E-Bay. Both are good sources for parts
This was a very, very helpful video. I did the same repair on my JD Z525e last week. Pretty much the same "anatomy" on both machines with a few small differences. I found it easier to entirely remove the mower deck though. However, I made a rookie mistake, sort of. I completed the whole belt replacement and I also replaced one of the pulleys that was damaged (I must have caught a small branch or stone or something at some point). Anyway, got everything put back together, tested it and the clutch/transmission...whatever...wouldn't engage and I still couldn't move forward or in reverse. No dice. I did a close inspection of my work and everything seemed ok. I took pics of the layout before I started to take things apart so I was pretty confident. Still couldn't figure it out. So I called a mower repair guy I like a lot but he couldn't get here til tomorrow. I was thinking maybe one or both of the transmissions failed somehow which would cost about $1,000 each just for the parts if they needed replacing. I even began to look at new machines. But I went out about an hour ago to take another look and I suddenly realized I never re-engaged the two levers I had disengaged to release the clutch (or whatever) that allows you to easily push the mower! I re-engaged them and BINGO....back in business. Thanks again!
WOW! Glad you found that. I have done the same thing. Hopped on and pushed the controls forward and backwards and nothing happened and I was like "what tha" and then remembered those little switches. Glad you got it.
I'll continue to use my power scythe.
Yeah, to hell with the instructions. Instead of cutting the nozzle to apply, just unscrew the cap and waste a whole bunch of it. And use whatever you want to apply it, forget the demo.
haha, instructions are for girls. Thanks for the feedback
thank you
Great repair. Definitely some hard work done. I have an exmark with a V twin Kawasaki. How hard would it be to take the exhaust off on the mower?? Got some welding on the muffler that I have to do it and don't want to fry any of the electronic parts.
thanks for the comment. I'll try anything once.
@@thistlehillfarmstead9131 thank you. Mowers are really expensive and I just don't want to destroy my electrical system or worse have a fire. I appreciate you. Maybe a video tutorial.
How thin did you make this paint?
Apparently I thinned it out too mech because within 6 months the wood was starting to show through. The problem was that I was using a Home/DIY sprayer which was not strong enough to spray that thick paint. Lesson learned. I eventually had it professionally painted. They put it on thick and it looks great.
@thistlehillfarmstead9131 that is the same issue we have experienced as well. I ended up just rolling this paint on.
You didn't set the pads before adjusting. You tightened the castle nut to tight. You adjusted the pads to tight. You didn't score the drums enough. To your credit you did do a good cleaning of the parts.
Thanks for the feedback. Always open to suggestion and learning from others.
Z Ño
YOU are Omazing ! Exactly what I need to do in my new home. Looks sooo good! Your home is gorgeous😇
thanks so much.
Very thorough review. Thank you
We have had the vacuum for almost a year now and the only problem I have had is that pet hair eventually got wrapped around the beater bar and it stopped spinning. I had to remove it and clean off all the hair that was wrapped around it.
@@thistlehillfarmstead9131 I just bought one based on your review and it does EVERYTHING I need it to do. I am grateful for your feedback on this product. I already knew where all the features were from what you showed. 🙏🏾💯👍🏾
Great video thank u saved me some money
Glad I could help
Thanks for posting
No problem!
That was Awesome 👌
thanks
What position should the hydraulic release levers be in when they are not needed
If you are standing at the rear of the mower the slot looks like an upside down "L". The pin should be to the outside and back. So back to the rear of the mower on both sides.
Aya man.... i understood we all wash our hands after doing a job. But this is pretty disgusting mate 🤢🤮🤣.... I appreciate the review but sheesh man.
auhh, not that bad, there was nothing floating in there. lol
My bush hog won’t drop. I’ve checked the speed adjustment and it’s still stuck. Any suggestions as to next step?
Make sure both levers that come out of the rockshaft control valve are moving freely. I had that issue and had to disassemble the control manifold an replace the shafts. They were rusted and stuck which affected the operation and feedback shaft. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/pjmkF9RoM7U/w-d-xo.html
👍 the trimmed off pieces make perfect hunting blinds 🫡
That is obviously a tensioner assembly (the giant spring tension is a clue) not an idler.
You are correct sir.
There's a hole right above the idle jet that you can put your screwdriver to get to get the screw out without taking the stepper motor off. Also never start or shut off an inverter generator with anything plugged into it
Thanks
Use magnets to keep the curtains vertical gap small.
Thanks, I'll give that a try
My belt broke today. Great video. Much better than the “Operators Manual” instructions. Thanks for making the video.
glad it helped
The reviews of this asphalt paint are not too good... lots of people complaining that it fades significantly after about one year. Have you noticed any fading? Will you need to reapply soon?
Yes, it faded pretty quickly. Within 6 months. I thought it was because I thinned it out to get it to work with my DIY sprayer. That probably was a contributing factor. I had the fence repainted by a professional fence painter. He used Fence Pro paint. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/j6jKYMxx3SM/w-d-xo.html
Also sanitize the needles after poking them eggs. No cross contamination.
good suggestion
I bought this egg cooker. Works well. Advice: poke holes in the LARGE end and place in carrier SMALL end down. The air bubble in the egg is at the large end. Releases the air and makes them very easy to peel. I leave my eggs in the tray for a few minutes after the timer goes off. No could water. Cooks then egg more to myself liking.😊
Thanks, I'll try that
Thanks
Fantastic suggestion!!! We live on a farm also. We bought a stick at our local store and cleaned around the sink and toilet and now our bathroom sparkles! We did not use it on the shower surround as its plastic - but the ceramic sink and toilet look amazing. We also used it on grout and caulking that had become dark - we may need to re caulk but - so what. Great results!!! Thank you so much XXXOOO
glad it helped. I got a lot of grief from people for not wearing gloves. I guess I'm just too county. hahaha
The first half of this video is "Pressure washing a cement slab". Skip to 3:12 to bypass all of this.
Very well explained, thanks
Any ideas why mine isn’t zapping?
Not sure. Mine has worked great. I was thinking of doing a review of it. Wow, I see this video was posted Sept 2021. I have had it in use since then and it has worked great. I'd check the obvious ... Make sure its on by pressing and holding the on/off button. It should start blinking when its on. I'd also check the ground rod and connection to the fence. make sure everything is connected well.
This was a great video and thank you for making it. Also nice that this was the actual belt video I was looking for. A lot were called the traction drive belt but were actually showing the mower deck belt, much appreciated!
My belt came off because an idle was loose. The part where you tell us how to use a ratchet and extension to move the idler saved so much frustration. Thanks for the great video.
Frustrated! Any idea why the two long vertical pieces on the sides of each unit and not straight? What do you recommend doing?
not sure why they would not be straight. if the are not bent too bad you may be able to force them into position, otherwise I would return it and get a new one.
The screw is too short for me
I assume that like other lithium batteries, if they go too low the charger won't recognize it. Is there anyone confortable enough with the device as to where I might give it a bump from another 12 volt device?
Hi, I have an he same generator as you, I follow the steps you did and I did get the generator to start, it runs like a champ, but another issues issue as I start the generator it powers up the green light comes on for about a second or two then goes out and then the trouble light comes on and it just flashes the green light never comes back on, do you have any idea what I can do next, please help
Works better with a card or plastic putty knife. The paint brush just brushes it all away 🌬️
I luv the Crocs 🐊 😂
Great Video!
did the same job but i was wondering about the retraining "C" clip on the RC2060 shaft . thanks
It was a good video but it was still a pain in my butt to do it all lol
