I will contribute with my own biggest recommodation: For anyone looking for a heist-plot adventure set in a Venice-inspired city, I will heartly recommend 'The Lies of Locke Lemora' by Scott Lynch. You will love this book for 1. the lovable but far from perfect main-character Locke 2. the extremely well-written characters, that feel very real and life-like 3. the greatly written banter filled with impressivly innovative curse words 4. the very exciting plot, that just keeps on developing in unexpected ways, pushing you farther and farther out on the edge of your set 5. the beautiful world-building, with a layering of magic that affects the plot, while not being in the center of it all I will not stop recommending this book and I am yet to find a series that measure up to the Gentlemen Bastards, - though I am trying
