    You may have saved the day. My in tank does not operate properly anymore, it's humming and when the tank is nigh on empty (which happens in the more expensive months...), it will not pull at full power anymore. Main pump is good, ignition etc is good, and filling it up always solves it. Problem: they don't make these pumps anymore, so we will have to go that route, but were looking for a "recipe" to cook up a new pump :) Tnx for this content, I may get in touch if I get stuck :P

    Great explanation. I need to convert my e30 to a single high-pressure pump. Rn I'm running a duel, stock tank and walbro 255 external. Being n/a it's not bad. But once it gets boost it'll need more.

    great video, just wondering if you were going to show where you grabbed your signal wiring from? Cheers

    • @TurbineResearch
      @TurbineResearch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The signal wire come straight from the megasquirt ECU fuel pump output

    Thanks for the video. Where can I get a positive terminal post like the one you’re using?

    So happy to have come across your channel! As I’m getting ready to turbo my m20b25 e30 and want to tune it myself I’ve learned so much from you! So thank you for the content you’re putting out there very user friendly as well!
    With the fuel system, running a walbro450 are you running an frp? And or stock fuel rail and just modifying it?

    • @TurbineResearch

      Thanks for watching! I’m glad the videos are helpful. Everything on the fuel system is standard except the fuel injectors and fuel pump. You can use the stock fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator

      @@TurbineResearch hmm wouldnt you want it on the return side so the rail has the constant desired pressure for the injectors? Talking for an e85/turbo setup.

    • @TurbineResearch
      @TurbineResearch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ahhitskyle4798 the OEM fuel rail has a fuel pressure regulator like you described. It all works great in my experience up to 500hp

      @@TurbineResearch oh shoot for some reason I was thinking it was on the feed of the rail. I haven’t tinkered with it all too much yet. Copy!! Thank you, just need to find some hose that is e85 safe.

    Since I’ve owned my e28 I’ve been watching your videos and I’m curious, the little wires that are on the relay, how did you hook the one to the ecu like you said, and where does the second one go?

    • @TurbineResearch
      @TurbineResearch  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The ecu grounds the relay and the other side gets constant power

      @@TurbineResearch I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to wiring, what is the actual process of grounding the wire to the ecu?

    Just starting your vis and this is a fairly popular conversion with the old Volvo crowd but why not just use the power wire that was running to the original pump Insted of all this wiering ?

    • @TurbineResearch
      @TurbineResearch  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The original wire to the in-tank pump is old rotten 22awg wire. This pump will pull 17 amps at idle and 20amps under load. You need serious wire(10awg) to power this walbro 450 pump properly without voltage drop

    When are you going to do a video on your m20b30 e30?
