On his solo channel probably the best example of the extent of Geoff's range (both highs and lows) is his cover of the Beatles song Blackbird. And all of the songs from Nightmare Before Christmas performed by VoicePlay are incredible, as are the various Disney movie song covers. And speaking of Disney movie song covers, the recent release of Hellfire (from Hunchback of Notre Dame) by Tomi P might well leave you speechless (as it did me). Like Geoff's solo work, it is also a layered a capella masterpiece with him covering an incredible range.

Tim Faust of Home Free and Geoff are friends. Geoff attributes some of his ability to Tim's help in using Vocal Fry techniques to get lower. They met through an A Cappella Talent show on NBC in 2014 I believe. Home Free won the competition. Vocal Play, the group Geoff is a part of when he's not doing solo work, was not as successful but they have evolved quite a bit since then. There are only 3 members remaining as J None, a tenor-baritone just announced his departure to serve in the US Navy. It will be interesting to see how they evolve further. I hope they remain together.

16 Tons is not swing or from swing period!! It is like a folksong depicting the very harsh life of coal miners in Appalachia.

You’re beautiful wife should check out Geoff’s version of Mele Kalikimaka (th-cam.com/video/zT894S_zoD0/w-d-xo.html) if she likes swing music…. Yes its a Christmas song, but it is great

English is a silly language - nothing is spelled the way it sounds and none of the rules are followed ... ;)
Geoff is amazing not only for how low he goes, but the fact he can also go so high given his low notes.
