Tim Faust of Home Free and Geoff are friends. Geoff attributes some of his ability to Tim's help in using Vocal Fry techniques to get lower. They met through an A Cappella Talent show on NBC in 2014 I believe. Home Free won the competition. Vocal Play, the group Geoff is a part of when he's not doing solo work, was not as successful but they have evolved quite a bit since then. There are only 3 members remaining as J None, a tenor-baritone just announced his departure to serve in the US Navy. It will be interesting to see how they evolve further. I hope they remain together.
