Best reaction ever, "My butter down stairs is melting." I think hearing Geoff's deep notes is almost a religious experience.
I don't know about religious but it's certainly an experience. :) I think it's more primal to be honest.
Even better is later on in that reaction: "The dude must have a gigantic scrotum" 🤣
i know this has been commented before but lemme just repeat this..
"his low notes may be soul shattering but so is his high notes..i mean, for a sub harmonic bass singer, he can hit those high notes so well like it's just a walk in the park for him."
Then to hear _him_ say he's actually a bari, not a true bass... Mind blowing. I've never heard a "true bass" with as much control and range as he shows in every performance.
I love how many people just start laughing. I've had that same reaction to Geoff so it's always funny to hear other people do it too.
The first time I heard Geoff’s voice, I didn’t laugh. I couldn’t. He took my breath away.
And geoff and his rich bassy rumble strikes again. A handful of people have a range like geoff but only a couple have his supernatural control.
I am one of them. I have the range an can just get out a "growly" low bass where Geoff has full control. Something I work on weekly with slight improvement in the past month.
He truly is a master of the voice.
@@Elmarias777 so far out of everyone of the bass singers I have listened too only geoff and Eric Holloway have that kind of masterful control that low, Tim and Bobby being very close but beaten by the sheer range of the other two

@@Elmarias777 I have a stronger low range than Geoff, but his control over it is still absolutely insane considering how incredible the rest of his voice is. He's truly one of a kind
@@WSlopeAggie Geoff has said, he's not a true bass, he's a bari, but because he has a bass range, he often (always) gets arranged that way. For my money,m I've never heard a "true bass" with the kind of control he's got.

My fav thing is to read the comment section in these videos. Theres always at least one guy who gets a pissy about how much people love Geoff's voice and talent! Lol like one guy on one video said Geoff should stop showing off. Like dude, its like opera singers, they are all constantly working to improve their range and abilty. Also he's an entertainer, what's wrong with showing off?😂 It makes me laugh every time!

I don't know a lot of these reactors, unfortunately they haven't all cropped up, so I thank you for listing them. Maybe I'm just odd but I don't get surprised by Geoff - but then I don't really get surprised by most things, so it's nice for me to see others being taken by surprise. I just appreciate his gifts and his talents.
I’m similar, I hear it, go: “Ok Geoff!” And then keep going. I don’t get surprised by it now

My thanks to Susannah for compiling these- I just discovered Geoff myself, and it was a treat to go from watching a bunch of his vids and work with Voiceplay, then to enjoy others having the same reactions to his absolutely stunning range and control. Stellar!

Well 1.) Geoff is my favorite, and 2.) the other members of voiceplay just don't get as many good reactions out of people so it's harder to find enough clips to compile together into one video.

I agree with both sides of this…
Geoff is my favorite, and not as many people are used to the deep bassy-ness he can do, whereas they are more used to Eli’s crazy tenor, but I also think that some compilations about the other members would be cool to watch
Melodies, the problem is that yes, every member of Voice Play has a phenomenal voice. I am a singer of many years and appreciate just how wonderful they all are. Wonderful voices make people go "oh, that's wonderful, these guys are great" but because Geoff's low notes are so very unusual, they generate the reactions that are fun to watch. After all, when you something like Amerca's Got Talent, and they go snakeshit over a guy singing an F an octave and a half below middle C, a note that every bass can hit kind of by definition, you hear comments like "I've never heard anybody sing that low". The problem is, Broadway and Hollywood only generate music that features tenors and maybe the occasional baritone. Then you get Geoff, who sings the bottom off the piano and is in frequencies with low double digits, that's what we enjoy people reacting to.
Incidently, that really low 60 cycle hum you hear when a big electric motor or coil fire up is 60 Hz. Geoff hits notes that are around 30Hz, an octave down from that 60 cycle hum. I haven't looked at the actual freq of his lowest subharmonics. I can occasionally growl out something enough for the meter to feel kind and show like 35 or 38 for an instant. Geoff holds them out like it's a walk in the park!
Interesting but, IMHO, most of these reactions are over the top fake
just because people 's reactions are over the top it doesnt mean they are fake.
