AF in low light situation and AFC on X-A7, which has the same sensor and possessor as X-T200, are really bad compared with X-T30.
How X-T200 AF in low light situation and AFC performs compared with X-T30 and X-A7?
As I have said in the video, the camera has pre-production FW, so I can't judge that. There is a low AF in the video and it is pretty good IMO.

First video of yours i am watching, i really enjoyed it - very good review, subscribed! I feel like the X-T200 has gone largely unnoticed due to the X-T4 release but what a great little machine it is, the image quality looks superb - especially at ISO 3200/6400 i was very impressed, digital gimbal to which is very handy along with 4k capability, articulating screen etc. I wonder if the clean ISO levels are due to the fact it is NOT an X-trans sensor so software companys are having an easier time deciphering the raw files?

At 7:39 you mentioned X-A7, as I read specs these 2 cameras seems to be exact same apart from EVF difference. Is the 4k video quality and functionality from both is same ? Does X-T200 overheats in 4k ? I will not shoot 1080p and recently found X-A7 at $350 used . Do you recommend it for 4k video ?
why do you think fuji does not include eterna?? its feels really bad cause i really was looking forward to this camera to be my B camera / vlogging camera but with Etherna that will help with dynamic range and helps with editing NOT included it will be a harder decision to make.
but i saw there is a HDR video feature, did you get to test it or please explain what it really means. - seeing your video menu page is there a difference between "digital gimbal" and "digital image stabilizer" - if image stabilizer is for photos then it doesnt make sense for it to be in the video menu page or maybe that is for the OIS of the lens
I only know that there's Digital IS but you cant use it with the video HDR, only one over the other.
They didn't include that to motivate people to go for X-T30 instead. Digital gimbal didn't work properly with pre-production FW, so I can't tell you anything about that. HDR video looks terrible.

I'm not yet familiar with post video work. Can you get the same exact best (more pro) results for video from the X-T200 as the X-T30 if you do more work in post?.. In other words is it just easier because of how the X-T30 can capture? Or is there something about the capture modes etc on the X-T30 that produce output that that can be graded a certain way that is impossible to do with the output of the X-T200? Thanks !!
No, you can't get the same results, X-T30 captures more detail and information, that can't be added in post.
How would this stand out when the Xt 20 and XE3 is cheaper. At least on eBay that is. How is this better than those? :) Keep up the great work

One question: all reviewers mention the 4k 15 min limit but can you shoot fur 15mins, turn it off and shoot a another 15mins or does it overheat?
Most people, me included, don't shoot for 15 mins continuously, we shoot for a few minutes, then recompose and shoot again.
How long does it take in 4k to overheat?

I generally don't recommend M50 for anything. X-T200 is much better camera, Sony A6100 as well.

I would probably go with A6100, although A6400 is well worth the extra, if possible.

I live in hope that Fuji might include Eterna in a later firmware upgrade, as the XT-30 would still have other advantages such as f-Log. This would then be a good ‘B’ cam to say a XT-4!
I don't that will happen. X-T30 is much better choice as X-T4 B-cameras

I will show side-by-side shot once the final FW will be available for X-T200.
Pretty, but you can't easy connect it to gimbal, or external monitor on goimbal. And you lose grip when connected monitor. But for non commercial use - nice camera.
You can mount it on a gimbal with no problems. It is not meant for commercial use so that is fine.

Because you probably had your hands on both cameras, X-T30 and a6400(or maybe a6100), and you've got a lot of experience i would like to ask you about video quality and auto focus in these two cameras?
I mainly shoot very short video clips on a Zhiyun gimbal and i am mostly interested for the video quality in 1080p for post production in Premiere Pro. Lately i was thinking about taking advantage of that auto focus in these cameras. I heard from many reviews here on youtube that X-T30's AF is very good.. not maybe the same but more like about 90% of the one in the sony's cameras? Currently i am on a crossroad to invest in a Fujifilm or Sony camera. Will X-T40 come in this year.. have you heard something? I really want your opinion on this matter. Tnx
A6400 has the best autofocus in the category. X-T30 is has pretty good AF, but not A6400 level, it depends on the situation. X-T40 most likely won't be introduced this year.

Can someone enlighten me on the subject of low ISO on Fuji cameras please. This new X-T200 camera has a new BSI sensor and only 12800 ISO, where sony a6400 with old sensor goes over to 32000. Both camera have the same type of sensor.
I was thinking about buying Nikon z50 which doesn't have any prime lenses at this time, but X-T200 has a lot of options in this area, so now I have a dilemma which one to buy. Any advice would be appreciated.
X-T200 doesn’t have BSI sensor. ISO 25600 is useless on any APS-C camera so that doesn’t matter.
Is it the only Fuji camera with transparent q menu? I found it very useful when switch color settings

I would say no, GX9 is better in some ways. X-T30 would be better replacement in terms of stills and video quality, but has no IBIS.

I currently have a Canon M50 that I downsized to from a Nikon D5600. It's a nice little camera, but for many years previously I shot with a 17-50mm F2.8 (first Tamron then Sigma) and that suits my style. I'm a bit frustrated that there is no small f2.8 standard zoom option for the M50 like the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm F2.8. The X-T100 wasn't that great but this is making me wonder if the X-T200 paired with the XF 18-55mm f2.8 might not be a good option. I love photography but have to consider the family budget so I want to stay in the sub-$1000 USD range for the body.

Depends on wheter you mean 16-55mm F2.8 which is way out of $1000 budget or 18-55mm F2.8-4. If you can get X-T200 and 18-55mm F2.8-4 under $1000 that would be a great combination.

I've been watching your Fuji and Sony reviews, you've got great content on your channel, just subscribed!
I'm an amateur when it comes to photography, I've been using my Canon S5 is powershot for the past 12-ish years and I feel like it's finally time to upgrade from the middle ages. :)) Though I find that it's still a decent camera and it still works, I've been considering upgrading to Fuji x-t200 or the X-t30, or maybe the Sony A6400. But seeing as the last two are more on the professional side and considering my budget, I think I'll go with the X-T200. I mostly shoot scenery, pets and portraits in my spare time, but I'd like to get on the more advanced side of photography. Do you think the x-t200 plus maybe the 23mm F2 lens would suffice or would you recommend spending the extra buck for one of the other two cameras?

@@larizoi I really recommend trying out the cameras in a shop. Your views can change a lot when you hold them in your hands. The XT200 for example looks good on pictures but in reality it feels as cheap as a plastic toy from McDonalds. Maybe you don't mind the plastic feel and like that it's so leightweight but you'll only really know if you test the camera out yourself.

Pěkná recenze. Bylo by zajímavé vidět srovnání šumu při vysokém ISO, např. pokud by se použil starý FF, např. Nikon D610 nebo D750.
Ďakujem pekne. Bohužiaľ, žiadnu starší fotoaparát s FF senzorom menám, takže to neviem porovnať. Nikon D750 by mal ale určite čistejšie fotografie pri vyššom ISO.
i never record more than 10min video when travel.. I rather record 3-5 minutes clip for easy edit. photo is great come out from fuji. amazing jpeg and raw color science. for sit down video may need more than 15min 4k but 1080 still 30min. take a break and record another. it on sale right now $500 vs a6400 $1k. tx3 for $900. of course thats is more in advance user. for me I travel some time here and there xt200 is ok. fuji has the full range lenses selection for apsc native. sony is quality and pricey.
Good review. How is the ISO ramping for video in varying lighting conditions? It's very prevalent on the X-T30 and X-T3.

On the Fujifilm official manual it says that this camera must be turned OFF to charge via USB-C. After what you've said I'm really confused because it's a really important feature for me. Can you please confirm if it actually DOES charge via USB-C while on?

Thanks for this informative review of the XT-200. I noticed stuttering in the videos, like a short bits of the video were removed causing the motion to skip ahead. Is this an issue with the XT-200 or just to do with the uploaded video? Also does the XT-200 have a fully auto mode. I understand some Fuji camera's require you to set multiple dials into auto to go fully auto whereas as others have a single auto switch/button. Thx.
That is caused by the image stabilization. There is auto options on all settings, no dedicated auto mode button.

It was not in fixed position, all samples are handheld.
I think it’s 25 fps footage in a 24 fps timeline. That means one frame is dropped in every second of video. It is caused when editing different frame rates in the same video.
No, it is 25p footage on 25p timeline. Even if it was, it doesn't work that way.

No, those videos were shot in very different light conditions.
This is a discontinued camera so you could have bought this + 15-45mm 3.5-5.6 for 500 euros on clearance sales. It was a good price.
What about the full hd video quality?
I don’t test that, so I don’t know.

I actually want to sell my xt30 to get this lol. I film mainly in 1080p 200mbps so I dont need amazing 4k. Plus 3.5 instead of crazy 2.5 audio and ROTATING screen so I can see myself filming.

Nice video ! When are camera makers going to realize there is no downside to ALWAYS providing a fully rotating screen? (up the line from their camera that does have one, for example, as is the case with these Fuji) Whatever 'reasons' you might think of, they are really just cynical excuses. Here I want the X-T30, but not without the rotating screen ! I don't care what anyone says, there is no good reason for it. I call bull. So obviously this is also big complaint from me about Sony.
There are huge downsides to fully rotating screens, tilting screens are better for most users. Tilting screen always stays in the center of the camera, so I don’t have to look to the left, it is not being blocked by the strap when I am shooting at low angles, it keeps small footprint of the camera, the construction is more durable, It is not blocked by HDMI cable or L-bracket and so on...
I wanna buy my first camera. I have been eyeing on the X-T20 (18-55mm) which is cheaper than the X-T200 (15-45mm). So I think the X-T20 is a better deal. But the X-T20 model is quite old. Would you prefer the X-T20 or the X-T200, thanks!

Just you, the playback is 100% smooth on all my devices.
@@TheHybridShooter There's definately skipping in the video. It only appears in the x-t200 footage and noticable on the vehicles on the bridge for example.

@@JanneRanta Has to be playback issues, video files form X-T200 are definitely OK, I have just checked.
@@TheHybridShooter Perhaps your rendering settings messed up. I see it's 25fps footage and for example the xt-30 sample footage right after the x-t200 footage doesn't skip like that. It's just the bits with the x-t200 and easiest to observe by looking at the bus on the bridge at 3:15 or the tram at 3:33.

Yes, much better.
It is also 300 bucks more expensive than the M50 and the lens prices are also higher for entry level. So for its price, the M50 is an excellent choice.
@@andreasbuder4417 M50 is not an excellent choice at any price point. Especially for video, I would probably prefer using a smartphone.
